The Ship Inn

The ship inn looks nice from the outside had a nice atmosphere. The bar and table waiting staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu was ok and food was very nice. The car park is a little small but you can park on the road outside.

A cozy, comfortable pub, well liked in the area. Typical pub menu, portions can be a little large. Good value. I would use this place on a regular basis.

Great family run pub, amazing food and even better service :-) great venue for big functions or small gatherings. I’ve been to the Ship plenty of times and it’s always consistent. Thanks Alison and Zoe

Booking online was easy. The table was all ready when we arrived. The food was lovely. Didnt wait long at all for it to be served and the staff were friendly. We will definitely go back.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was very enjoyable. Good, friendly atmosphere and tasty food at a good price! The warm chocolate brownie was absolutely incredible!

First time I've been there in 6/7 years. Roast lamb was very fatty, yorkshire pudding raw on the inside and the roast potatoes only half roasted. Complained and was offered another meal, "once bitten twice shy" springs to mind plus everybody else had finished by then. As I had already paid for the meal there was nothing I could do. Would not go there again.

Wonderful food, great service, always very welcoming. Great place to take all the family.

Very disappointed with the roast , The only thing that was warm was my meat the rest Luke warm . Dessert was lovely . And very disappointed with the mother day gift

Would be a 6 but as a vegetarian i found the choice a bit limited especially as after 6 you can't order jacket potatoes, wraps or baguettes

Our meals were very good with large portions and quick service. Tables were a bit on top of each other, so you could clearly overhear the conversations on other tables

Good Sunday lunch, huge portions even the children's menu. All very good value for a family. Very busy pub on a Sunday so make sure you book.

fantastic meal .great survice. only down side was not seated in a area that was in the section off for the restaurant..was a lots of pub drinkers enjoying there eveing drink with language which was not good to hear as I had my seven yr old son with me ... be better if one side was for drinking and the other side for the family restaurant. apart from that very good meal and friendly staff .

Good selection of Sunday roasts, service good as always. I choose the pork - meat was tender and large portion of 4 vegetables. Pub was busy which is always a good sign.

Lovely quirky building, lots of original features. Been twice so far, once for a Christmas party with co-workers and now with my family and both times I have enjoyed the food, the service and already looking for an excuse to book our next event there. It is family-friendly, the staff really looked after us. Thank you 😘

The Ship is a very old pub with lots of character. The food was very good and there was quite a good choice for vegetarians. Added to that 2 large glasses of wine came to £10 which made a pleasant change from the usual high prices elsewhere.

The Ship Inn is a perfect place for a meal with friendly staff. The menu will suit anybody and the large portions from a good chef won't disappoint you.

The food was good as always, however we were waiting over an hour for our food. We arrived at 1.45 and food didn't show up until after 3. I appreciate it is a busy time but that was ridiculous and not even an apology from the staff on the delays.

Excellent pub, friendly staff, good food, lovely log fire and felt very Christmassy. I really like this pub!. I had the spicy cajun chicken burger with sweet potato fries.

Lovely food, great service which considering its December and lots of people eating out is fab. Highly recommend and will be going back again soon.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, good home cooked food served by very polite friendly staff. I would not hesitate to have a meal here and looking forward to our next visit.

Service and food were of decent standard however the ribs we slightly over done and tough, I would however recommend this place to friends and family.

This is one of my dad's favourite places good food good staff very friendly and good value for money I come here at least 2 times a month

The whole experience was extremely good. The staff were very obliging, pleasant and friendly. The food was well prepared and tasty. On this occasion lunch was the reason but looking at the menu would be willing to have dinner there as well.

Lovely food. Big portions, served very hot! :) Polite staff who were very accommodating when we wanted to change one meal after it had already been ordered.

We had booked a table for 4 people and were given a table tucked away in a corner which was nice because it gave us a chance to have a chat! The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was lovely, spoilt for choice. One suggestion - the meals are all very large and I am not a very big eater, it would be nice to have the choice of smaller portions on the menu. Overall, a lovely evening.
