The Smoke Pit - Northampton

It was very loud in the restaurant and staff were all over the plate. We asked for drinks and didn't get them till quite a while later even though the bar was empty. I got given a glass for my re-fillable but they didn't actually tell me where I needed to go to get my drink as we had never been before. I had to ask. The food was ok but mine was very powerful due to to much cheese on it. The food got taken away from us when I hadn't even finished my chips. Staff did not ask if we were finished but just assumed. I even had a member of staff bump into me and they didn't even say sorry. I don't think we will be visiting there again.

Food was very good, but service was poor, we were forgotten about, towards the end of our meal a random man was seated at our table which is completely out of order and when we paid, the £7 worth of change was just put in the tip jar without being questioned. Very disappointing evening.

If you love meat cooked to perfection then this is a must not miss!!!! Another great night out and look forward to my next visit in near future.

Food was nice and good size portions but overpriced, comfortable and relaxed surroundings service was good but wasn't busy at the time, probably wouldn't go back purely because it wasn't value for money

The Food and service was excellent, would definitely go back. There was also a car park right next door, so there was no issues with parking.

service was a little slow even though it wasn't perticularly buisy but the atmosphere was good and the food was excellent ( too much , struggled to finish ) . sweets were yummy and sweet and sickly too !

We had a great time at the Smoke Pit recently! The food was good, and came fairly quickly given that we were a party of 8 with lots of substitutions, etc. Would be nice if there was more choice for the vegans in our party but overall great food and decent portions!

Amazing quick service, excellent food and drink, overall amazing night with amazing music, definitely gonna go here again, would recommend to anyone thinking of going

Good portions. Burger with lots of toppings and best onion rings ever. Swift service and daily specials. Had the toffee lava cake - really yummy with creamy banana ice cream. Overall good experience. Only minus was table was a bit sticky and menu cards could be cleaner - downside of so much good food that people handle! Don’t let that put you off - great casual burger restaurant.

They're awesome and always go over and beyond. This is one of the best places I've ever eaten in. Food is great and I highly recommend going!

Great food, good service and awesome atmosphere. Enjoyed every minute spent is the smoke pit. Love the decor and the meat is just packed full of flavour

The service was good. Disappointed with the food. The brisket was bland and the ribs too fatty. The rest was ok but overpriced for what it was.

Our first time here and really impressed. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The food was delicious. We were treated to the brand new menu and all of us loved our dishes. The halloumi sticks and garlic gambas starters were a real treat. My father in law also really enjoyed the music. Thank you smokepit for an enjoyable experience.

Steak was soft but rather tasteless, sqeezed into table next to drinks machine which meant no privacy - killed datenight!! Left as soon as we could.

Not enough staff....had to leave the table to order drinks....waited 25 mins for 1beer. Had to ask 3 times for the bill. £25 steak ordered medium came well done. Very disappointing.

The atmosphere was great, everything seems to be locally sourced and the food and drink was amazing! Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back soon!

Great vibe, good food - excellent portion sizes, attentive service - possibly slightly pricey for the type of food but it was nice. Clean toilets.

The overall experience is truely amazing and I would recommend to this restaurant to anyone. The food is amazing and you certainly won’t lrave hungry. Top bananas!

Love the food but I feel the setting lets it down. Tables always sticky and wobbly, condiments and water bottle were dirty and I’ve never really liked the trays your food comes on but that’s just IMO.

Great quality food, with a great atmosphere. Well worth the money. Without a doubt I will be going back. There is so much to choose from.

Staff were attentive, food came out quickly and tasted amazing! One of the the dishes wasn’t really up to standard and they agreeed to take off the bill as it wasn’t eaten. 4 very happy diners. We will most definitely be back

Amazing food with great service. We all enjoyed our meals, you get a lot for your money here, which is good because some of the meals are a little pricey but with such a large selection there's something you'll want at a decent price.
