Food is great everyone we go , great atmosphere and staff friendly and attentive. Also have vegan/ vegetarian options. Recommend to book however, as it fires fill up fast.

Awesome chicken wings, delicious rack of ribs! The food has definitely improved recently, but service is still taking ages (30min+ to get our starters and another 45min to get our mains).

Fantastic restaraunt with great team of staff, the food is fantastic and the theme is very matching great smoke house a must visit place don’t think you can pick wrong!

8pm on a Saturday evening - the restaurant was buzzing. The service was great and the food arrived in a timely fashion. We ordered chicken wings and squid to start and 3 sets of ribs - it was all brilliant! Would definitely recommend and will be back...

Great food, great atmosphere! Love this place, the Cow Pig Chicken burger is a winner! Also great desserts and sundaes if you've any room left after your main!

Food was great, most of the Servers were ignorant/rude or too busy chatting to serve. Such slow service. Smiling isnt a chore...but not if you ask 3 of the guys working tonight. The lady who bought our food, and the one who gave us our bill were very polite. The rest...just made us fee like we were an inconvenience. Which is a shame!

We had really high hopes for my daughters 15th birthday dinner. The food presentation was funky but unfortunately taste and texture was flat, overcooked and not so great. Shame really.

The food is a little pricy so you expect it to be amazing. I had a T Bone and it came out on a skillet which was cold. And partially cut up. After 5mins after eating some of the steak the rest of it was cold. The fries were also served in metal pots which took the heat out of them so you manage to get some of your food hot but it quickly turns cold due to what its served in. Lastly the seating is very basic and not very comfortable so you cannot enjoy your meal fully. Not impressed and will not be going back

Very quick service, good choice of very tasty food, good portion sizes. Like the presentation on trays. Definitely will come back and would definitely recommend.

Food was a real treat all perfectly cooked. Pork loin is a particular recommendation from our daughter . The steak cooked to perfection with the tobacco onions although not sounding tasty was a real surprise.

I can not fault The Smoke Pit. Great food and great service. The industrial / rustic style seating is set out really well. You are not too close to the diners at the next table. Definitelyy worth a visit.

Fabulous quality and quantity of food. Been here several times now and it never disappoints. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere great- it was ful, even on a Wednesday evening so that speaks volumes. Look forward to booking again soon.

The food was amazing as always and staff lovely! Only thing was the waiting time! I understand it was extremely busy for a Monday night so waiting 45/50 mins for food wasn’t too bad. But was a bit annoying that after our plates were cleared be sat there for about 10/15 mins trying to get someone to come give us the dessert menus. And then after deciding to forget dessert, after not receiving menus, we had to wait another 15 mins and ask two separate people for the bill as the first person must have forgotten us. But luckily the second server was very apologetic and said he would speak to the first person we asked for! So other then the wait it was a lovely meal out!

Food was excellent. Milkshakes were yummy. Only complaint chairs were u comfortable. Would definetly go there again only would not have milk shake again because i couldnt finish my dinner.

Too much food served and it would have been better if we had of been advised about the size of the portions; this way we would not have ordered so much. Drinks were good, service was good and restaurant atmosphere was good

Very busy Saturday night and that clearly impacted the quality of the food. Last time was great but bits were over cooked. Still nice but they need to check before they allow food to leave the kitchen

the steak on our surf and turf came out blue we ordered it medium rare. So the waitress when in to get it reheated. Once she came out with it where the battered prawns were waiting on the sauce it has became all sloppy as did the scampi. The scampi was just filled with grease. The swordfish was vinegary.

Excellent service and food. Waitress was very good and very helpful. Just make sure you don’t eat loads before you go 😀 would definitely recommend.

Great food and service was good too. I realise it’s an American themed restaurant, but it might be nice to have the odd European lager on the menu as well as what’s available. A personal preference, but I prefer the crisp biers such as Peroni, Amstel and the like. Perhaps not in keeping with the style, but just a suggestion.

Lovely food as always! Looking forward to a return visit very soon. Steaks were perfectly cooked and my husband enjoyed his ribs. Great place to eat.

Heat food and atmosphere, refillable drinks seemed a bit steep at £4/5 but great selection... would definitely go back!!

An fun and unusual place to eat in Northampton. Good food and sociable!

The food is out of this world and the service is fantastic. It’s our second visit and we weren’t disapointed. Our waiter and waitress was super attentive and helpful.

The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff was fantastic, we were able to talk to each other without having to shout over the music, at the end of the evening, we asked the staff about the artwork, as my brother liked one of the pictures, very informative about it, going to tell everyone about The Smoke Pit

Good, efficient service. No waiting when we arrived. We knew what to expect with the £42 mixed platter. We weren't disappointed. Only criticism is the top end price of the draught beer. £4.80.

Was great food and service but had jusr main and was asked to leave the table and drink at the bar while we fonished off drinks at the end which made us feel unwelcome and ruined the evening
