Basic cuisine, but well cooked and presented by friendly staff. Unfortunately the tables were tacky to the touch, table cloths would have added to the experience.
The food was very average & definitely overpriced. Don't come back with should have said something as clearly food used is cheap. Won't be back.
Helpful staff and very accommodating with the children I had. Food was served quickly and atvthe rught tempreture for the children to eat theirs and not to be told that had to wait. Excellent menu choice and very clean environment
Had a breakfast here previously and it was amazing. , carvery was average, staff were friendly so can’t complain
Very friendly staff and plenty of decent hot food. Took all the hassle out of cooking a Sunday roast. Easy and convenient looking forward to our next visit.
Fabulous food, plenty of choice of vegetables and a choice of 3 roasts. Great, friendly service. Good value for money. We couldn't recommend The Stonehenge Inn highly enough
Food was fantastic nobody within our party had anything to complain about. The service was just as fantastic and we didnt wait long for our food to arrive. I would recommend the Stonehenge Inn to anyone.
It was the usual good food and service that I have experienced many time before on previous visits. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming.
Booking table was straight forward. Menu choices great, food was freshly made and served in no time. Team were accommodating for guest with gluten free and dairy intollerance. Would recommend.
Had dinners with my family of five, the food were nicely prepared except the lamb liver. The smell was not remove or handle properly and it was a bit of unpleasant smell when consumed. Other than that, the other foods were perfectly good. The breakfast servicing are generous, there is food corner with beverages both hot & cold and fruits besides the main course. The cafe is small and near to the kitchen, the atmosphere was filled with oily smell and I supposed it was due to the ventilation system not working well.
Continental breakfast was very minimal, only toast, a few pastries and limited choice of cereal. Breakfast was very greasy and over cooked, 1 meal was left off of the order so everyone else had finished by the time the meal had come out. Overpriced for what you got.
We arrived at the Stonehenge Inn on what I am sure was normally a quiet Monday but in this instance was very busy, but the very friendly landlady managed to juggle us all very smoothly. Our food was good and incredibly good value for money. Would definitely visit again to try the weekend carvery.
On this visit,l and my guest had the carvery, which was a big mistake as the only hot part of the food we both had was the roast potatoes. This was not what I expected to receive as the place wasn’t crowded. Deserts where fine, this is why I gave a two rather than a one. Paying your bill at the end was a nightmare,by card,as there card machine wasn’t working properly at all,as it took several goes to get the transaction to go through and was straight round checking my bank account to see how much was taken. I understand the pub is under new management yet again, let’s hope they can improve there as it used to be a nice place for a meal and drinks out in the garden.
Great food and friendly service, as always. will be returning again!
Good food and staff. We did not realise that the 7 day week carvery was no more. Let down by live music , over which you could not talk
Table was a little sticky and the bar and restaurant just felt quite grubby, however the staff were really lovely although the food was somewhat mediocre.
Went for Carvery but there wasn’t one, so seven days a week isn’t true. Ordered pie and veg and all the veg was a frozen mix of peas sweet corn and carrot, meals didn’t come out together, there was quite a wait in between and the restaurant wasn’t even busy, won’t be going again which is a great shame as we live in the village.
Friendly staff, good food, great for kids too due to the outside play area. Good pub atmosphere, relaxed and casual. Booked online with no problems. Will definitely be back!
There were 8 of us, 4 of which had the lovely carvery and very generous. Meats were lovely and the other meals came quickly so we all are together and didn't have yo wait too long. Good service and pleasant meals had by all. They could do with better high chairs maybe with a tray but that is the only negative.. 😀
Very nice friendly pub - had a good menu and the carvery looked very good with 3 meat options. Will be coming back here again.
Good food, excellent portion size. The staff were friendly however not very efficient. We had to ask several times for drinks and a high chair and even then ended up finding and collecting the high chair ourselves.
Friendly service, nice pub grub, bit chilly in there but it was a very cold evening! Maybe slightly on the pricy side for the quality of the ingredients, but everything was cooked well and tasty.
booked here as was lousy day out and its close to home its been done up since last visit very nice food excellent plenty choice of veg meat well cooked plenty of on plate three choices so that was good all in all a pleasant meal was had on an awful day out highly recommend this place
Absolutely amazing! Both service and food. The staff were really efficient and helpful and the Carvery was to die for. Defiantly will be going back again!
Very warm and welcoming place. The Food was Fantastic, Staff were very friendly and the food portion sizes were generous even the kids food was a good size
A bit disappointed. We were a party of 8 and we all had a Carvery meal. The plates were cold! The vegetables weren't as hot as they should have been; the vegetable containers were set out in two rows and some found it difficult to reach across to the veg at the back. One of our party found his beef rather tough, but 2 others said their turkey was very nicely cooked. They seemed to be rather short-staffed and no one came over to ask if everything was all right with our meal; we had to ask how we should go about ordering our desserts (these had to be ordered at the bar, after which the plates from our mains were cleared away). A safety note: when we went out to look at the mural in the garden, we found the white lines on the two steps immediately outside the door had become rubbed and were almost invisible, which could cause an accident - these need to be repainted so the edge of the steps can be clearly seen.
We had a few problems with what we ordered and 1 meal was very delayed. Also they need training on making coffee. On the other hand the staff were really helpful and polite. Also they did not charge us for the meal that went wrong without any propmpting.
The Stonehenge Inn and Carvery is a great pub/restaurant run by very friendly staff. A great range if food and efficient service. Would definitely recommend.
Highly recommend this place, food was lovely and hot. Did not have to wait long at all. Staff friendly and very helpful. Will most definitely be coming back in the near future....
The staff were less than attentive. Our table was suspiciously sticky. The food from the carvery was cold and the beef was full of gristle. And if that was not enough, my wife had food poisoning from we presume, her piri piri chicken burger. Not a good experience
We visited Sunday lunchtime and chose both carvery meals and fish and chips! We all enjoyed our meals which were very reasonably priced and we couldn’t have asked for more friendly staff both waiting on tables and serving the carvery. Thank you!
Surprised that there was no carvery, as we'd been before, but our friends hadn't, we'd been raving about your carvery, Apart from that fabulous visit.
We had a lovely meal off the Pub Classics menu. The service was good and quick. The wine, though a little more than I usually pay, was the nicest Sauvingon I have ever tasted. We are back there on Sunday for the Carvery.
Generous portions and reasonably priced. Good service and friendly staff. Reasonable selection of cask beers. Undergoing refurbishment which we hope includes heating. That was the only slight negative.
The price and food was nice enough. The staff were very friendly but I found myself having to ask a lot of questions because they weren't very forthcoming with information. We went at 4pm and it wasn't busy at all.
Food was lovely and very quick to come out. The kids meals were huge and very very hot though so they couldn't eat straight away.
Evening meal. 7pm. Basic but edible. Meat was tasty but vegetables were stale as if not cooked for the evening, but kept from lunchtime. Very noisy from the bar and we were told we couldn't sit in the furthest away quieter part of the restaurant because of laying up for coaches in the morning.
This was my third time here but the first time I had arrived early - mistake! The Yorkshires were clearly warmed up from the day before and we would have needed a bread knife to cut them. It seems likely that other items were warmed up too, although we didn't sample everything. However, the meat was good and some of the veg were particularly nice. It's a nice place and good value - just arrive a little later to get fresh food.
Delicious food and yummy ice cream free with every carvery. Staff are lovely and really helpful and attentive. Will definatley go back if we are down that way again.
Very friendly staff. Food is lovely and the kids choices are great. The atmosphere is really nice very family friendly. The prices are good too. Would highly recommend a visit.
