Great atmosphere. There was Christmas party of men next to us, to begin with they were loud, but then settled down. The waitress did apologise for the noise when we left, but it was a Christmas party and we didn't really mond.

The food and atmosphere here are second to none, really cosy place with great locally sourced produce

Staff service was excellent, and the food was delicious will definitely be visiting it again

As I live on the green it is extremely convenient to have a good restaurant .

Really nice relaxed atmosphere, the food was cooked to perfection and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Great to have such a great restaurant on the doorstep finally, we will absolutely be returning!

The food was incredible ! The meat was cooked to perfection and well rested whilst the vegetable and other accompaniments were creative, exciting, full of flavour and of course cooked to perfection

Me & my partner brought our 8 month old on Father’s Day for Sunday lunch, the food was amazing, the place itself is beautiful and the waitresses were so attentive and helpful especially with our baby they made the experience so pleasant, will definitely be returning

After visiting over 5 times since opening with a variety of friends and family. I booked for Father’s Day Sunday lunch with family. After being so impressed with Sunday lunch before we were disappointed by the amount of meat served, compared to the portions on our previous Sunday lunch visits. Also a lot of the vegetables were cold (mainly the greens, potatoes) and majority of the rest of the food including gravy was warm. This was really disappointing and due to being served by over 4 different staff, our concerns weren’t dealt with. I will visit again as I feel that it may be down to being last sitting on a very busy Father’s Day. But just disappointed after saying how good it was, to then take the parents in law who weren’t as impressed as we had been on previous visits.

‘Small plate’ idea didn’t really work as it was more main dishes with sides that all arrived at different times. Felt very disjointed and very overpriced for quality of food. Had been sat for 50 minutes before any food arrived and that was only bread!

The tasting menu was amazing and I can’t wait to come back again for more delicious dishes

Staff were very friendly and food was lovely. Roast beef and Yorkshire’s was amazing but a bit more veg would have been nice.

The greeting and service were great with plenty of staff catering to clients needs. My husband has problems swallowing, the chef blended his meat so he could enjoy his lunch. Food was lovely and tasty with plenty of gravy which is sometimes missing at other establishments. Made our anniversary lunch relaxed and enjoyable. Thankyou so much for an excellent lunch. We will be back..

Quirky setting superb service quality Sunday lunch all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The food was excellent, but expensive. As such the restuarant is a place we would visit occasionally for a special occasion. We ordered the Chateaubriand steak and were informed there would be a 40 minute wait which was fine, it was good to be told this upfront and we enjoyed starters etc in the meantime.

Smart decor. Food good overall - crab starter v v salty which was a shame otherwise a good dish. Bit on the pricey side in comparison to similar standard restaurants. Would give it another go tho.
