The Violet Green

So. Venue is great, really cozy and inviting. Staff are great and food was very nice. I have do have to say that there was about a 30 minute wait between starter and main course which took the gloss off the whole evening but overall a pleasant dining experience.

husband and wife owners combine to make an excellent front of house team! with an outstanding team in the kitchen producing wonderful food the overall experience is one that I will certainly be repeating.

The staff were really nice. And the vegetarian mainsc wasexcellent.

Ordered chateaubriand but not told we would have to wait 45 minutes, in fact we waited an hour tho it was good when arrived. Our friends had tough lamb which was disappointing but management compensated us for this.

What an amazing find !! Food was amazing - especially the Fillet of Beef and the Cauliflower Cheese Croquettes!! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and a little quirky- which we loved. We were looked after so well and will defiantly be back again soon 😀

First time to Violet Green and will definitely be returning. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and the staff were excellent. Very accommodating for toddler. The location and interior is perfect-a little hidden treasure of Norton.

Lovely venue and staff. The food is very well presented and the cauliflower croquettes are amazing. The steak was a little gristly but I think this happens now and again with steak. Other than that nice evening at Violet Green.

The food was delicious and the setting was gorgeous. Very unique and interesting to find out some of the history surrounding the restaurant. I Will definitely come back!!!

Great atmosphere, very efficient service. Food is fantastic. One of the best steaks I've had - didn't need a steak knife, it was so tender. The homemade bread with crispy onions was tasty, as were the desserts.
