Our party of six had another enjoyable lunch at the Waterside Bistro. We moved outside for coffee afterwards, as the sun had come out, and enjoyed the riverside setting

We returned here after a wonderful experience in March, but sadly it did not measure up! Our waiter was lovely and very attentive, but we felt incredibly rushed, we had hardly finished our starters when the main course arrived. We were sat in the restaurant near the toilets, so there was a constant stream of people, before we had sat in the bar area, where it was light, bright and we were able to take our time. Reqlly sad, as we did like our visit in March and were looking forward to returning. Also the dishes were far too big and we couldn't eat it all.

Lunch time trip to the bistro was fantastic. Great choices on the menu and the food was excellent. Staff were first class as well and made for a very enjoyable visit. Thoroughly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Great wee gem of a find. Initial welcome from front of house staff really appreciated. Asked for a widow seat in my comments and got one. Ordered fish & chips x3. Food was excellent 5🌟. Will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant and very friendly and efficient staff. The food is well cooked and presented. Good choice of meat and fish dishes but poor vegetarian choice. Great choice of beers and brinks and the setting by the river is beautiful

,Good food (Haddock, excellent batter, & Chips) and apple crumble, although you can’t serve a crumble that is all soft. Even sprinkle it with separate crunchy crumble if it’s been microwaved. Texture is everything. House wine (Sauvignon Blanc) good. Excellent service, although dining area so noisy, we could hardly hold a conversation.

Loved the quality for the food, extensive use of local produce and the attention to detail. Staff were excellent in supporting and enhancing the experience.

Service was amazing, charming and efficient. Food was delicious - party of 5 and we all had something different and tried each others! My scallops were cooked perfectly. The ambience is also lovely - I would say it's elegant but informal in all the spaces (it's big). Great situation on the river.
