Lovely restaurant with very varied menu and good service. Outside seating watching the swans in the river is beautiful

We were celebrating a 60th birthday with a small group including 2 x under-5s. The waiting staff could not have been kinder and the food and service was very good.

Great atmosphere fantastic food and we got the same seat we sat in 21 years ago🤣Seabass super fresh, cullin Skink amazingly rich in a good way. Staff are very attentive and make sure you have everything you need. Would recommend without reservation

Despite having booked a table we had to wait in a very busy area with standing room only. We were not made to feel welcome. When we were eventually shown to a table, it was in an almost empty room with one other table of diners. There was no atmosphere. Having said that, the food was delicious.

Great food, fish was so fresh and the chips were amazing. Local beer was excellent. Location is beautiful. There was an event parallel to ours, so we had to wait a bit, but when the service came, it was very friendly, attentive and competent. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Food was really well presented and everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. Nice to also have a specials board in addition to the main menu. Service was excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Waterside Bistro. Owners are always very welcoming and accommodating. Enjoyed cream of cauliflower soup and the Beef ragu pappardelle.

Had a nice table indoors. The atmosphere, food, and service were great.

Three main courses not hot and one having to be sent back. Service slow especially when young kids were present. Staff friendly and polite.

We could not fault the food it was lovely but sadly at 5.30 pm our experience was spoiled by a loud 3 person table not eating only drinking !! Sad especially at that early hour when there is no consideration given to others

Lovely sunny day sitting by river having lunch very pleasant and enjoyable.

Pub was very busy, Friday evening and it was raining so no seating outside, which was all very unfortunate. But the venison was very overcooked which has not been the case in the past.

Great lunch but for oldies maybe too much food , deserts were huge . But overall a lovely lunch with great service.

First time we’ve visited for several years but we’ll soon be back! Great staff, great food, great evening, the whole family loved it!

I enjoyed the smoked tofu and soba noodles in teriyaki sauce which was very nice. Other party members enjoyed the sea trout and the pork tenderloin in red wine jus.

The service was great and food was great but what took shine of it was been over charge for 3 meal we did have so make sure you check your bill when you get problem my husband card did not work on the card machine so I had used my card that was very disappointing

Fab client greeting from.the boss, table ready 15 mins b4 time and in favourable position at window overlooking the bridge and river. Professional and courteous and explained the menu and specials. No rush service with a smile and food was fresh tasty and above average. Presentation great and drinks refilled with nompressure to serve the client. Always loved this venue and staff so good. Recommended without hesitation.

Another fantastic meal at the consistently high quality Waterside. I had the venison from the daily specials menu which came with fondant potatoes and wild mushroom jus and it was delicious. Excellent and friendly service as always and nice to be able to sit outside for post dinner drinks overlooking the river. Highly recommend.

The filo pastry haloumi and feta parcel would taste better baked than fried, just an observation.

Lovely spot, right on the river. As it was a beautiful summer evening we had drinks outside, and then dinner outside. Food was fresh, very well prepared and a good choice. My only disappointment was that all the specials were finished by 7:45, however the regular menu was good, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Excellent service from all the staff —a real pleasure to dine there.
