The Waterside Bistro

Tonight I enjoyed beautiful breaded haddock with chips and peas followed by ice cream. Staff so friendly and service excellent.

We had put a note in the booking that we would be bringing our puppy. However the table we were given was on the busy path/isle to the toilets. staff let us move outside as puppy was getting overwhelmed with the traffic, thankfully a nice day

I have been to The Waterside many times before for lunch. As always, found the food, service and staff all truly excellent. The menu is excellent value for money too. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Waterside to any of my friends and look forward to dining there again very soon.

Friendly welcome as usual. Prompt service. Good food. But it was impossibly noisy. The people at the next table were so loud that we were unable to hold a conversation. We left early.

Always a warm welcome by the owner who was also delighted that we’re local and supporting a local business. The Waterside has a cosy country pub atmosphere and the food is delicious. We had potted cod, crab and prawns to start followed by steak and spalebone of beef, finished off with Baileys cheesecake. Highly recommend.

Lovely quiet lunch with only a few other diners , unusually . Fish & chips were great & a half fillet perfect quantity .

we ordered the salmon and seabass with salad and the breaded chicken with savoury rice and Thai red sauce which was very nice, followed by the Baileys profiteroles. Service excellent as always.

We enjoyed the cod loin with veg and new potatoes and the turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Staff so friendly and obliging and the service of a high standard.

We had a fantastic family meal at the Waterside for Christmas Eve. The service is always so fantastic, friendly, and welcoming. The food was lovely and delicious and the menu had options for everyone. Such a great atmosphere and a wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve!

The food was excellent in such a cosy inviting bistro. The most amazing staff welcoming, informative and extremely helpful. A very varied menu with good portion size and pricing. This is second time at the bistro and will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
