We have dined at the Waterside on several occasions however that last 2 visits have been "just ok". Maybe need to re-visit the salad that is served as it looks like something served from a local cafe. Not sure if the Chef has changed in the last year but unfortunately we won't be back any time soon

Amazing as always. We knew what we wanted, staff are amazing. Only problem was a really smelly dog at the table beside us that couldn't keep the dog under control. Nothing to do with the waterside though. Leave your dog at home. I'll be back, smelly dog or not

Lovely meal tonight was had for three. I had the chicken with apricot, chorizo and rosemary stuffing and orzo past with chipotle. Delicious.

Another successful visit to the Waterside Bistro. Prettily situated in the town of Haddington they serve good food at a reasonable price.

I love the fillets of seabass when they crop up on the menu. Very tasty.

This is one of my favourite restaurants; the food is always good and the atmosphere restrained and civilised. The service is attentive without being servile and the setting is second to none. For me the most important thing is that it is quiet; there is no cheap and noisy pop music blaring and that in itself for me is worth an extra star.

Main course was lovely but sticky toffee pudding was cold, dry and almost inedible. All 3 of us left half of it. Told staff this when they were clearing away but nothing done or any compensation offered.

Food and service were both 5 star. We were treated like princesses…. I left comments when making the booking regarding both diners having hearing aids.. I do this every time we book somewhere and it is usually completely overlooked.. this was not the case at the waterside bistro, they had a lovely quiet table for us and acknowledged the comments I left about our heating when we arrived, our table also over looked the view Thank you so much

Our lunch today was delightful. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious and the environment cosy and warm. Even the toilets were 10/10. Well done Team!!
