We go to The White Lyon and Dragon quite often. We love the atmosphere and the service has always been first class. We can't fault it.

Very good service and food. Good atmosphere even on a weekday. We were offered a doggy bag to take away. Very good value for money.

Food was excellent but service, although friendly, was slow. Hold up seemed to be food coming out of the kitchen rather than the waiting staff. Also it felt really chilly - the radiator couldnt cope with the cold was what the manager told us.

Absolutely fantastic place. Outstanding service, sublime food. Such a pleasant surprise - we had no idea it would be so good. Only one tiny issue was that the drinks bill bore no resemblance to what we drank and was clearly made up (we ordered from the bar before going to our table and the barman must have forgotten what to add to the bill). The drinks we were charged for were more expensive than they should have been, however we were so pleased with the place we let it go and paid anyway.

Great host and service, food was average. Went on a taste card, so was worth it. Wouldn't have been worth it for the full amount.

Good 'Pub Thai' food. Prices are reasonable for the Guildford area. Friendly staff. You can eat in the restaurant or if you prefer more casual dining the bar area.

Really lovely food - this was definitely more restaurant than pub (but there is a pub area as well, just separated off). Great selection and felt authentically thai. Staff were lovely.

Nice ambience. Busy but not too noisy. Wide choice of food and wine. Excellent service. Food was very good - there were 6 of us and each of us chose differently from the menu and everyone very much enjoyed their meal. All in all a very pleasant evening.

Our food was delicious - very fresh and beautifully cooked. Service very pleasant but rather slow. Could get top marks if they could sort this out.

Awful waste of money. NYE so they had all seats full but other than the service being very slow the food was very poor. Shop brought starters. The satay chicken had no flavour at all. The hoisin duck pancakes - the duck was cubed and not shredded so wrong texture in the pancake and they were soooo dry they cracked when attempting to roll them. The mains were tepid, watery and no flavour. Overlooked meat. Over cooked rice. We didn't bother with the dessert!! We had the most expensive banquet £29 per head and a complete waste of money. Never going back again. The waitress said 'sorry you didn't like, we are busy' - great customer service hey!!!

Very nice overall experience, the food is fantastic, staff friendly and understanding, my friend has lots of allergies and this is one of the few places she can try pretty much everything without having to worry about anything hidden

Garden was a bit messy and grotty budwiser bottles strewn on the grass, needs a bit more attention to tidiness , they dont allow dogs in the bar area, only the garden. food good though and lovely laksa

The food was gorgeous and the ambience perfect. Everyone very polite and charming. Just the food was very slow - 3 hours. Apparently the head chef was on holiday so short staffed in the kitchen.

Wonderful place!!! great ambiance and relaxing mood. The food was very special, worth waiting 45 mins for the starter to arrive. Staff are friendly and professional. Will certainly visit again and is highly recommended!

The service was a little slow we had to wait for someone to take drinks order, and then a long wait for drinks and then a long wait to order food. Starter was relatively prompt to arrive but only half our main came out and we had eaten that by the time the rest started appearing (it would have been cold otherwise). However, the food was absolutely delicious and could not be faulted. If they could improve on the speed of service, would be fantastic.

Great food great services & great prices. It was my twins 6th birthday & were made to feel very special. Our waitress Emily was very welcoming & attentive even though she was under pressure from other diners including a 20 strong football party. Thank you for a great evening! Vic

My dining companion's choices: (1) vegetable spring rolls; (2) green Thai chicken curry; (3) boiled rice. My choices: (1) braised pork ribs + Thai fish cakes; (2) "Weeping Tiger" (grilled sirloin steak, medium); (3) boiled rice + a bowl of "tom jued jay" (mushroom, tofu, and onion soup). Drinks: two pints of draught lager and two pints of Coke. The bill for two was GBP 71.15, but the use of a Tastecard reduced it by GBP 27.82 to GBP 43.33. The food and service were - as usual - very good. Waiting times and ambient noise were not excessive. When it comes to price, however - that is another matter. We have been going to the White Lyon & Dragon for over five years now, usually once every four to eight weeks. However, we would go less often if we did not have the use of a Tastecard, because GBP 70.00 for two (with two rounds of drinks, one each of alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and with no dessert) is not something that can be indulged in too often.
