Absolutely fantastic place, food is cooked to perfection in everything

We stayed for the night, the rooms were lovely, comfortable and stylish. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic along with the friendly staff. The breakfast was also delicious would definitely recommend. We would love to return again as all in all a really enjoyable experience.

This wasn’t our first visit, the food has never disappointed it is we’ll presented and tasted amazing as usual. We will go again

Been a few time since opening, Great food, but waited over 35minutes for starters then again waited for drinks.

Amazing food but still quite pricey even on the Early Bird Menu! Service was quite slow and dessert took ages! Also saw waiting staff eating food with their hands through the kitchen window 😬

Perfect food as always good service had average meals at other tomohawks but this one has been perfect every time

What a wonderful place, the service was excellent, the food was out of this world and if you stay in one of their beautiful rooms the night just gets better!

Second time we’ve stayed over for dinner, bed and breakfast. Great food, very pleasant rooms and lovely staff. What’s not to like?

Food was good and received promptly. It’s not cheap which is fine if it is good quality which it was. Nice restaurant with negative being drinks took an awful long time to arrive. Also even a basic dress code would be good as people had clearly came straight from work and no one wants to a builders arse while eating a Wagyu steak.

The waiting times on a moderately busy Sunday were too long, especially as we had young children. Also, there was an option to add a full rack of ribs onto a steak, but no option to order a full rack as a main meal - if you ordered if, the sides were a separate cost, which was too much when the rack itself was £15. This was a hole in the menu and I think that a whole rack of ribs should certainly be a main menu option. The other thing to point out is that there are no children's desserts, which means paying for a full desert for a small child who would be happy with a single scoop of ice cream - because of this we didn't order any desserts. It is another hole in the menu, and while this restaurant was really very nice, the waiting times and menu options let it down a bit.

Food was ok, one steak tough and the other ok even though we ordered the same. Did not like the service charge so didn’t pay it as the drink prices expensive.

Brought my mum for the first time, she absolutely loved it, as did we.

We had a lovely time. We had the chateaubriand which was delicious, had plenty of sides and was perfect as a meal to share!

We wanted a little break and took advantage of the Black Friday deal on the rooms. We love the tomahawk in Darlington so already high hopes for this one. The food was lovely. One of the sides on the main was luke warm but they soon sorted it. Considering they were not very busy there was some inefficiency, maybe it’s just that lull between Christmas and New Year. All in all it was very enjoyable, the food was gorgeous and the staff were very friendly. We did enjoy it but Darlington remains our favourite.

Having booked following receiving gift vouchers to value of £175 wanted to share with my family visited Husthwaite- was in booths was a very noisy party on large table - ordered at 8.30 got food at 9.30 very slow - also not clear on receipt until read at home later that a service charge was include in bill not itemised and not clearly bit hidden - I know it optional but not obvious - but food when arrived was fantastic as usual

When I booked this 6 weeks ago I confirmed that it would be the normal lunch menu. When we chose off that menu today we were suddenly informed that the chefs didn’t have the ingredients for the lunch menu so we would have to choose off the main menu (bizarre as basic ingredients are surely the same?!). After a 40 min wait for food a waitress came to say “chef has had an accident with one of your meals so there will be a slight delay.” Ten minutes later somebody else came to say one of the three components of my daughters meal wasn’t in stock so could we choose something else? After an hour the food arrived- 15 minutes later we left. My daughters meal was burnt and mine was tasteless. My husband enjoyed his. A very disappointing Christmas Eve/Wedding Anniversary experience.

Food service and atmosphere is great, dining with a difficult to please person and she loved it

We booked a night over and did get a deal on the room. The rooms are gorgeous but we were in the barn at the back and had to walk round to the restaurant - not far but no lights and it was raining so not ideal. We were seated quickly but didn’t get offered the opportunity to order drinks for at least 20 minutes. It then took some time for our food orders to be placed. The staff are all friendly however there seems to be a need for some more organisation so diners aren’t waiting for drinks etc. This is our second visit and the first was much the same. Have one person waiting a table or one taking orders, one clearing etc as what seems like disorganisation means that customers are waiting to order or reorder food and drinks. Overall a good experience but expect a little better service given the food and drinks Prices.

Fantastic best steak we've had for awhile and the choice of sides was great.

We have stayed 3 times now and every time the Accommodation is Fantastic, we had the Tomahawks Steak which was beautifully cooked , The Service superb everything was awesome about this place, so peaceful and tranquil, booked again for Feb 2020 :)
