Food excellent, staff could of been a little quicker and more attentive

Absolutely great meal and excellent service its great to have a village restaurant that has such a great atmosphere.

Truly great food and the only reason I voted the atmosphere as a little quiet was because we visited very early(7:00) in the evening and midweek at that . I bet it’s much livelier a little later . Overall we both enjoyed the experience and will certainly return.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly. Our waiter was really helpful and brought out dietary sheets when I mentioned a food intolerance. The quality of the food and drinks was very good. Can’t wait to return.

The ribeye steak I had was on point cooked medium and very very tasty with a melt in the mouth texture absolute pleasure of a restaurant which was light and airy

Great starters, exceptional flavours, Lovely steak sharing plates. Big tables so you don’t feel squashed on like you sometimes do in other restaurants. ✅👍🏻

We all really enjoyed our meals, unfortunately my mum had ordered the beef Sunday roast and the meat was literally still mooing (I would normally have my steak rare but this was Blu) she still enjoyed the rest of her meal. There was a rather long waiting time as we didn’t have starters, however you don’t mind waiting as you know your meal has been cooked from fresh!! We can’t wait to come again !! And fantastic for us as it is only in the next village!! And the staff were extremely welcoming, polite and friendly.

Lovely Sunday lunch beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and the dining room is lovely. Not sure about the plastic cow on the terrace though.

Long wait to get seated for our food (think they forgot about us!) but it was a busy Easter weekend. Food was lovely when finally arrived. We had a Sharing platter and asked for steaks medium rare but came more medium, however still very tasty 😋

I ate from the vegetarian menu which was limited but nice and I’m told they change it weekly. I fully appreciate it’s a steakhouse and doesn’t try to appeal to veggies but it’s nice to know you can still join with non veggies and have a perfectly nice meal. My meat eating friends loved it btw!!

The food was good. The service let it down. The staff were all friendly but things took a long time. Our drinks took at least 15 minutes to come, and we were not offerred any water even though we had water glasses on the table. after we had asked for the bill, it took half an hour before anyone came and took our money, and even then we had to shout someone over. I know it’s just opened but little things like that make a difference!

A great place for an exceptional steak best in the area - puddings great - also a great Sunday lunch - would highly recommend- Ruth B

Lovely atmosphere, great food. Will definitely return soon. Food is not unreasonably priced (around £50 each for 3 courses) but worth it.

Had a great time at husthwaite last night and the 3 people I went with had great meals unfortunately my wagoo rump was a bit tough and chewy which the chef remarked that it was partly due to me ordering it rare but apart from that great

I visited on Sunday with my partner and 3 year old for dinner. The staff were welcoming , helpful and attentive . The venue is as gorgeous as the food. We had the Sunday dinner sharing platter ..... truly amazing !!!! Can’t recommend this place highly enough . I’ve already re booked to take the rest of the family!!!
