Perfect the food and service very nice will go again

We had another great meal and the service and staff were fantastic.

Always a great meal here! One of our favourite places to eat.

Service a little slow, it was not busy, otherwise good and decent portions

A few screaming children during lunchtime but food and service were excellent

Staff are great, food good. Rooms need slight improvements but would definitely stay again.

We have no bad words to say. The food is amazing, staff are friendly and polite and the venue is gorgeous. We are regular visitors and will continue to dine regularly.

We arrived on time at 9.25am and were told they had run out of Baked Beans for breakfast. Tea was served to us in espresso cups which is the first time in my lifetime that has happened. Breakfast took a while to arrive but they were busy so that is acceptable. However, breakfast was cold which for a full English is unforgivable. Ingredients were good quality to be fair but served cold didn’t really taste as it should have done. I asked for toast as an additional dish and the farmhouse bread arrived without being toasted at all and without jam or marmalade. When I mentioned the toast and said sorry for being a pain but can you toast the toast the response was “fair enough” not sorry just “fair enough” which to me means the staff just don’t care enough about the experience of the customer. It’s a nice restaurant, nice location but if you serve tea in espresso cups, serve cold breakfast, don’t toast the toast and respond like you just don’t care then you will not so well in the long term. Real shame as it was my Husbands birthday and we had heard great things about the restaurant.

We had a lovely meal last night with friends, the food was delicious, well presented and within lots of differently choices to meet all tastes. The service was regular and attentive and the ambience was very relaxed. :-)

Liked the place so much ourselves a few weeks ago that we brought our family as a treat - big, big success - huge! Super Sunday lunch and staff couldn't be nicer. Particularly nice with our 11 yr old granddaughter. Definitely on our list for a re-match with the giant Yorkshire puds.

The staff were excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The steaks were of a good quality although they were slightly overpriced. The menu gave a good choice for non meat eaters and we enjoyed the meal. A wonderful selection of wine with a reasonable price point.

We enjoyed a super meal. The restaurant was furnished very tastefully. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great breakfast and very good value for money for what you get

Lovely fresh seafood sharing platter, beautiful Tomahawk steak. Great staff. Only slight complaint was that our beef dripping chips were overcooked and we also seem to have got all of the tiny end bits of a potato, only a couple of normal size chips in the whole pot?! But won’t stop us going again 😋.

Food was excellent, quality of meat was excellent. HOWEVER absolutely astronomical prices for drinks. 9.00 for a glass of house red wine and 5.20 for a pint of larger. I understand business have to make money but this is just pure greed. Plus an extra 24.00 Service charge, WHY, do you not pay your staff out of the profits of the food and over priced drinks, this isnt good practice. we wont be back...!!!!!

We were the only ones in at lunchtime on Thursday so service was very good!
