Tomahawk Steakhouse - Husthwaite

We stayed over in one of the rooms, it was really lovely, clean and comfortable. We ordered the chateaubriand for our evening meal which was again really lovely.......couldn’t fault the breakfast either 10/10.......will definitely be returning, and definitely recommend anyone else going.

Absolutely amazing food. The best meal I have ever had in a restaurant, beautiful place great staff, great menu choice really just 10/10 would highly recommend and can’t wait to come in the future for a Sunday roast.

Had the early doors 2 course meal and it was delicious, we ordered a peppered sauce which was really nice and enhanced our steak. Lovely service of the young man too.

Me and my partner shared the Sunday roast sharing board. It is to die for. Highly recommended. Best cauliflower cheese ever!

The food is good. Unfortunately the waiting staff are very young and inexperienced and the dining room is very noisy.

This was our second visit here. The first time service was excellent. This time despite us being not as busy we were left half an hour before our food order was taken. Felt they had forgotten us. We expect to pay for good steak, and it is good, but the sides are very small for the cost (£3.50 for 2 mushrooms and 2 small tomatoes). Overall not good value for money. It felt lacking in structure/management

We had a lovely first visit here. We normally go to the one at Potto. But this one was just as good. The atmosphere was lovely and so was the decor. Food outstanding. Only small gripe was the music was slightly too loud but that’s probably just me! Can’t wait to go back 😊

Food good, service good... I wouldn’t say exceptional on any measure, but good enough. Beautiful setting... Noisy area of restaurant so if came again I’d ask for a different table.

We had a great time at Tomahawk Husthwaite! Room 3 was spacious and beautifully appointed with a huge and comfortable bed. Dinner was lovely - we had the early bird menu which was very good value. Friendly staff too. Will Service friendkya

Superb steak restaurant and first class service - really friendly and helpful. Rooms and beds excellent but bathrooms need better lighting and shelving, soap and sponge baskets in shower etc. My wife found it difficult to put make up on with no dressing-table mirror or lighting. Breakfast cereals/juice buffet would be nice tho cooked breakfast was topnotch - and VERY generous.

Lovely food!! Only thing I would say negative is that you don’t have a set waiter/waitress so constantly getting asked to order drinks when already ordered!! And food etc........

We had the chateaubriand which was nicely cooked and well-seasoned. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. The only small criticism would be that the sides didn’t come with serving spoons, but that’s a minor point. Really nice restaurant overall.

Absolutely superb Sunday Lunch. We had the sharing platter and a pudding each! Service is always with a smile and quite efficient!

Loved the layout and decor. Really great steak cooked to perfection. However, the restaurant was very busy and we had to wait over 40 minutes for our steaks! In general it was extremely noisy, plus our table was right under a speaker, so conversation was pretty difficult. We had to ask the waitress to repeat herself several times as we couldn't hear her over the noise! Would definitely visit again but not on a Saturday night!

Really good food and very reasonable for the standard too.

Food was amazing - car park was full and due to some very inconsiderate parking a very narrow gap was left to access the main parking area ... I followed a car in and two cars followed me ... the first car couldn’t turn round so everybody had to reverse out leaving everyone to park on the roadside which I’m sure isn’t popular with the residents
