We were sat what seemed a while before staff came for our order we watched them asking other tables for their order,we had to call them over in the end. But we got over that,the food was very tasty.

Sat out for our drinks. Great food and service. Will be back and great ay for a Sunday evening.

Another fantastic meal. Tried a mocktail which was nice. Steak was excellent & as usually the Mac n cheese was yummy! Tried the cookie dessert which was hot sweet & delicious

Been for a steak a few time so decided to try a Sunday dinner this time and it didn’t disappoint. We tried the sharing platter and there was plenty. All the meat was melt in the mouth there was plenty of veg and we got a side of mash but we didn’t need it. If I had to pick at one thing there was only one slice of pork between 2 people it just wasn’t enough but that is only because I’ve never had belly pork like it, it was beautiful. We are definitely coming back but next time it’s to try just a pork one.

Fantastic service and food. Steaks were lovely and a nice pint of Bass to wash it down. I would highly recommend tomahawk at Potto and we’ll definitely be visiting again.

We had really been looking forward to our first visit here for Sunday lunch and when we arrived they had ran out of Sunday lunches. So we choose steaks each and when my daughter poured the sauce from the pot into her meal there was a dead fly in the sauce. Not acceptable this put us all off our meals we didn’t tell in of our party to prevent an uncomfortable situation. My daughter did discreetly tell the waitress and her meal W was taken off the bill. But not what you expect. Very disappointed

4th visit and whilst food was ok it wasn’t up to the price charged. Had satay chicken starter and was a very small portion, main was a 12oz serloin and very fatty lacking in flavour. The bill came to £84 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 1 drink, very expensive for what was offered.

As always an excellent meal, beautifully cooked steaks & delicious sweets. The staff are always very welcoming & the service is spot on. po

We went for the early bird option and had lovely rump steaks and Wagyu steaks. Excellent service and not too noisy until it filled up at about 7pm. Definitely well recommended.

Wasn't what I was expecting... a little bit too ' industrial/ same as every where else these days/ get the young people in ' - I was expecting something a bit different and less run of the mill restaurant...maybe something a bit more up market. Service was great - no problem at all; food presentation was good - I felt there were too many sauces with cream but maybe that was what I chose. I chose Chateaubriand as I've always wanted to try it and have never got around to it. It was really tasty but I had some stringy bits ( 3 lots ) which wouldn't have expected on fillet. If you want a trendy meal with attention to presentation ( lots of copper serving dishes/pans) with good service then go for it; but I preferred the meal I had in a pub restaurant the night before. Personal taste though maybe so give it a try and decide for yourself - there's nothing horrible about it.

Duck pancakes were bland. Steak was barely seasoned, though it was a good quality cut of rib-eye. The peppercorn sauce was watery and very mild in flavour. Would not visit the Porto branch again. Had a brilliant experience in Yarm, where I will return if I want a good steak. We spent most of the time trying to wave the abundance of flies away from our food, which was quite disgusting. Very disappointed really as this wasn’t a birthday occasion. One to forget.

Our first time and was a celebration for our dad birthday. Found was fabulous not one issue with how the steaks were cooked. All cooked to individual liking. Only criticism would be the sides were expensive for the portions and cheese board a bit bland. Other than that a most enjoyable evening.

Excellent meal...when we arrived the guy greeting us moved our table as he noticed I was walking with a stick so he moved us to one so that I didn’t have to negotiate steps ...very thoughtful...beautiful food and staff efficient and friendly...we will be back again

Eaten many times here and this is the first time that I have been disappointed with the quality of the fillet steak normally delicious but unfortunately on this occasion about 25% of the steak was unedible. For the record we were given a 10% discount on our bill.
