A very welcome good meal on a very cold & snowy evening in St Albans! Good quality food and very pleasant surroundings, we all enjoyed the experience.
Really good food nice atmosphere and the staff are helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend, even managed to fit us in and it’s Christmas Party season.
Excellent cuisine at this restaurant. Well presented and interesting. We had a very enjoyable meal at Veer Dhara One and will be back again for sure.
Our first time at Veer Dhara and certainly won't be our last. Great food and service. Very reasonably priced and centrally located at the heart of St Albans.
We went for lunch for my birthday. We didn't have to wait long for our meal to arrive. We enjoyed the meal and we thought the service was very good. I have recommended this restaurant to my work colleagues. I will definitely go again.
Went for a colleagues 20 year celebration. Food was fantastic, service was great and the restaurant was heaving (not a bad thing!). Would highly recommend.
Very slow service had to keep asking for things table booked for 9 didn’t get a drink until about 945, wasn’t impressed. Food was ok.
Excellent staff, service, food and value for money. I would highly recommend Veer Dhara One to anyone looking for a good meal in St Albans.
Superb Been to Veer Dhara many times but this was the first Sunday Buffet. Food as good as ever, excellent friendly service and very reasonably priced. Also more than half the customers were local Indian families - always a good sign. Will be doing it again!
The food was lovely. We liked all of the dishes although found the chicken dish with the spinach (number 35) had too much spinach. We ordered drinks whilst choosing what to eat and they were a bit slow in arriving. Having said that we had a most enjoyable evening.
Excellent food, a large choice of less common dishes as well as many well known favourites. All cooked with care and understanding. The depth of flavour, even on "standard" dishes you think you know well is brilliant. Staff very attentive, ambience superb. One of my favourite restaurants around.
Tasty, well cooked food - and not too oily. Seafood dish had good sauce but rather light on seafood. The craft beers on the menu were a big attraction to all four on our table but were sadly not available on the night. Service was good. We would consider another visit in the future.
Great friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Didn't have to wait long to get served and the food was delicious. I would definitely go again, a very satisfied customer
Décor impressive, service good, and food was very good too - and as others say, quite different from the run-of-the -mill curry house. Free parking nearby in Bricket Road on a Saturday evening, no problem. My only criticism, and this is personal to me, is that it is quite noisy when full, and I had difficulty with conversation. Most people seemed unfazed by this. I would go again during the week as there is a lot to like on the menu, especially the sea bass, and prices were reasonable as well..
Big fan of Veer Dhara, great menu and personally the Laal Mans is a favourite. Good atmosphere, nice surroundings and friendly staff. I keep going back, so it must be good.
Beautiful food..the prawn tawa was amazing, as were the scallops and squid starter. Staff friendly and attentive A wonderful experience. Would highly recommend a visit...we will certainly be visiting again!
Very welcoming experience. Professional service and a wide choice of menu items at a fair price I will certainly return to the restaurant in the future
Good food but service charge already included in the bill and we were only two. No rules for the service charge. A bit noisy on Saturday’s nights.
Fantastic food, great service and a vibrant atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is particularly good for vegetarians. We loved it.
Delicious food. Good service lovely place to spend an evening. Nice to have a change to the usual curries on offer. Would highly recommend visiting.
Lovely food and great service. Made the children very welcome. The garlic logo and fish main was delicious. The food tasted very authentic. Thank you
Simply superb food and service. The menu is extensive and coupled with great attentive staff. It's the best Indian restaurant I have visited in a very long time.
fabulous food, great staff and they dont allow children in either. whats not to like? good menu plus a specials menu with rabbit and other tasty dishes.
It was nice, for a Wednesday evening. It was not your typically Indian restaurant. Good value for money, the attention to detail was lack sometimes as the waiters would walk past empty drinks glasses without asking if you would like to order another drink.
We love this restaurant. Excellent food and service. The honey chilli cauliflower is very very good. The restaurant is usually busy so it is necessary to book.
Relatively slow service and starters overcooked. Main course was much better. Disappointed as compared to the last time that I had visited the restaurant when it was excellent.
Lovely Indian food with value for money...Loved it every time we visited this place. I'd recommend you try out their Sunday Buffet the next time you are planning a visit.
Great food superb service couldn't ask for more. The whole experience was fantastic very friendly and helpful staff we will definitely return again very soon.
Really nice food, good service, nice atmosphere. Diffferent to the average Indian, rich in spice (not heat), with a varied menu. Recommend the Barra Champ
Great atmosphere, delicious food and good value for Monday. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the cocktails! Thank you for looking after us
Food was amazing fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and officent. The only problem was they seem to be in a rush to get you out after eating, this could be that it was a Saturday but it spoilt my enjoyment with being able to talk to my friends after each course.
Overpriced for Sunday buffet although food very good. Not much in the way of vegetarian options. Needs more attentive staff that need to speak better English and advise on extras re' nann breads and deserts.
We had a lovely family evening meal. A hot day and water was topped up regularly. Good vegetarian options. I particularly recommend the coriander rice and the roti. The service and the ambience was excellent.
Awesome and delicious Food, 1st Class Service... Thanks to Staff, serving customer very delightedly.. Like to recommend to friends and family .will definitely go again.
Lovely food and excellent service. The food is very fresh and authentic. Uniquely different taste from other Indian restaurants. We really enjoyed it. Especially enjoyed the aubergine and chilli salan and the lamb curry.
Fantastic food and good service. I think it's the best Indian in St Albans. I took work colleagues, who were from all around Europe, who all complimented me on my choice of restaurant.
The Sunday buffet is fabulous value for money, and the food of excellent quality. There was even entertainment in the afternoon which was great for kids and adults alike. Highly recommended.
Food was Great until we ate Banoffee Pie for our dessert. It smelled different from usual and taste blunt ,We had to tell the managers but one of manager was telling us that it made three days ago and its last three days,if we did not like the flavour they would refund. I have been complimenting their tasty Banoffee whenever we ate there, so this manager's response was very disappointing and made us feel that we were wrong to taste the rotten pie. Since management changed , they did not handle the customer well and service was not to standard as before.
Great restaurant, food was excellent and service was very good. We were a large group and the restaurant team had no problem with this. only marked down due to one below par biryani.
First time here, the food was good however the service was a little slow, had to ask twice for drinks to be bought to the table however it was a busy restaurant
Excellent and interesting food with modern and attractive presentation. The best indian restaurant I have been to for at least 25 years . . .
Good food, but let down a little by the service. Seems understaffed and staff done always understand specific request, however, quick to rectify without fuss.
Service was poor Food was not worth the money - Tasteless dish. I have had a better curry from a local takeaway. Your paying for the fact it's in St Albans.
Really impressed with the quality of the food and service. Would gladly recommend for those seeking a authentic Indian cuisine. The location and restaurant were tastefully designed as well, we were impressed
Food was superb. The restaurant was busy with a good vibe. Service was attentive if perhaps a little too quick. My main negative was it was noisy given the number of people, sounded more like a pub than restaurant.
Lovely restaurant, great food and service! They advised us on portion sizes and the specials menu was amazing. Had a great birthday here and would recommend to anyone in the area.
The Main food were fresh and tasty Nan was very good . And Banofee was exllent. We will be back soon . Thank you chef!
I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is always good and the service excellent. The decor is attractive and I would recommend a visit. The vegetarian menu is particularly extensive
Had a lovely evening with family at Veer Dhara. The taste and quality of the food met our expectations. Very nice ambience too. Good options for vegetarians too. Service is bit slow as it was very busy on the day even though it was a mid week visit.
Great food, lovely surroundings and welcoming staff. Something for everyone on the menu, whatever yiur tastw. Its an Indian meal with a difference. Recommend to all
