Good food and staff. Food was hot and plenty of it. Staff were very attentive and well organised. Menu was good plenty of options. A
Very friendly staff and speedy service. The food was good and fancier than your average curry. My lamb dish lacked a little punch, otherwise I would give this a 6.
Very good quality food to go with excellent service . The restaurant is fairly small inside but this created a nice atmosphere and the decor was really top notch also
One of the most expensive Indian meals I've ever had, but it was quite nice. My husband in particular liked his meat dishes. Naan were a bit under-cooked and a bit sweet for my taste. The rasmalai was delicious. Would come again, but as a special occasion - I couldn't afford to eat here every month!
Very tasty food, perfect quantity and reasonable price. The setting and service are decent, too. Recommend this to all. Lots of free parking nearby after 6pm.
We had a great night following a day out at the NEC - Fabulous food and equally excellent service - highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.
A real jewel in the jewellery quarter. Wonderful attentive service, nothing too much trouble, and the food even better. Great veggie selection, definitely going again.
Staff were excellent, shame same could not be said for the food. My starter was described as made from chicken livers but appeared to be made from lambs liver! My main of duck was overcooked, tough & dry! Overall disappointing & i shall not be returning.
Good service and good food, will come back again. It's worthy to tast it! Besides the price is acceptable. Best India food in Birmingham I have ever tried.
Food - delicious, not your average curry house - if you want run of the mill 'traditional' curry dishes, probably not the place for you, but if you want somewhere a bit different with a range of delicately spiced dishes with tender meats and seafoods/fish this is fab. The mackerel samosa is incredible! Service - excellent - friendly and welcoming manager, always recognises us when we go, attentive, not pushy waiters, very prompt service also. Super lucky to have the Viceroy on our doorstep. We'll be back AGAIN very soon!
Great food, good service, definitely the best Indian meal I've ever had. The restaurant is clean and modern and the view into the kitchen through a widow is an interesting twist. Highly recommended.
Have heard good reports about this restaurant so decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. Nice clean, modern layout. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Food was delicious and tasty and came out in good time and hot. Would definately recommend going here and we will be returning.
The service was excellent, prompt and the food was fantastic, well done Viceroy !! We are definitely coming back again, my family had a good time.
Starters were excellent. They used too many cloves in main dishes which then overpowered the food taste. Lovely restaurant very clean and staff very friendly.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff who really had a passion for delivering great food and service. Needless to say the food was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys the authentic tastes and intimate atmosphere
Great restaurant. Food was delicious but the service wasn't very attentive. We had to wait for ages to order our mains although the restaurant wasn't busy.
Very good food reasonable price very pleasant attentive staff can't fault! Atmosphere is good the food appeared quickly as ordered with great flavour ! Keep it up!
Great service, food was great but a little pricey. Lamb Korai was cooked beautifully but perhaps lacked a bit of flavour. Loved the way that our order for starter was taken first then mains after we were done and ready to order. Food came out promptly.
Always good food here and very nice service. Not the cheapest but very good food non the less. Recommend peshwari naans and the lamb dishes. Always nicely cooked.
Food was amazing and the service could not have been better. The owner was in the dining room for the entire evening, making sure that every table was taken care of. Perfect!
Brilliant!! Four friends went because it was rated best indian on trip advisor... and we were not disappointed. Excellent service and the food was fantastic. And the wine list to match! Highly recommended on every level. I will visit again when in Brum.
lovely venue, great food, friendly staff. Went for my daughters 18th birthday staff were great, also very patient as one of our party was half an hour late. would recommend.
Excellent food and service. Inventive, modern menu which provides a different dining experience when compared with the stereotypical Asian restaurants. Great location and friendly staff.
Fab Food, the staff were so friendly and very helpful on helping us choose the right food. I would reccomend this to anyone :) thank you
Excellent as usual . Staff are very attentive . Best lamb I've every had .
An excellent meal served by very attentive but not overly sycophantic staff. Well organised - we were in a group of 16 and two cancelled last minute of which none was a problem. Good contact by text from booking. The food quality and range was much better than the average take away. We were offered the set meal which as we arrived at 8.30pm and was a much better option. This was fully explained before hand and we were offered other options if anybody did not want it. There was plenty left over too so no chance of starving.
My wife and I have just had one of the best Indian meals ever. The Viceroy is right up there with the very, very best. I can offer no greater praise than to say it is as good as (if not better than?) The Clay Oven.
Fabulous place. Very attentive staff. Amazing food. Nice wine. Ambient setting. I ordered a king prawn dish with spinach. Excellent as always. Have been there 3 times in 6 weeks. Now my go to place for Indian food. Love it!
Best Indian food I have tasted. Very lovely, helpful staff and reasonably priced for such exceptional food. I really can't recommend the viceroy enough !
This was my first time 10/10 Excillent food, ambience and had a great modern look.the service was exceptional would go again. If I was to suggest anything it would be to get better white wines 😉
Absolutely amazing food, I tried the duck, lamb, beef, chicken, vegetable and fish dishes and all were perfectly cook, moist with such awesome flavors throughout.
Absolutely excellent service, friendly & attentive. Delicious food, amazing, different to other spicy meals out. Some dishes display a more subtle spice, but all are absolutely delicious unless you expect cliche 'curries'.
Great food as usual and great friendly service, can't wait for next time!
very good food, hot and tasty. I will definitely be getting down there again, possibly next week. In fact I will be booking as soon as possible
Another great meal , consistently good . Quiet , value for money , friendly staff
Nice ambiance and relaxed atmosphere. The dishes were full of flavour but could have done with a bit more spice.
A nice restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, quality décor, good quality food, honest and helpful management and staff. An overall positive experience. I will return again in the future.
Welcoming and friendly staff, nice environment, very clean and exceptionally good food cooked express. Definitely recommended if you happen to be in Birmingham. I really enjoyed the meal.
I took my wife here for her birthday with friends and found Lovely food and great service. Restaurant is very small and intimate. Highly recommended.
Absolutely lovely, will come again. Highly recommend the Garlic chilli lamb and the Old School. Really tasty, good value and service was excellent. Definitely try here!
Friendly staff and excellent food with an interesting menu. Highly recommended- if you find yourself in Birmingham and want classy modern Indian food in a stylish environment then Viceroy is the place for you.
Great menu, with some different dish's to choose from. Food and service was first class. I always judge a curry house by the Sheek kebabs and these were first class!
Great food , friendly staff . Excellent quality , consistently good . Great lamb.
I recently paid my second visit to Viceroy Tandoori - the first for a romantic meal with my husband, the second for a celebration meal with female friends. On both occasions, the food, ambiance, and service were excellent. The range of options on the menu include old favourites and some really lovely, more unusual dishes for the more adventurous. Everything I have tasted (sampling not just my own selections but those of my dining companions as well!) has been superb. Fresh, full of flavour, incredibly succulent meat, and generous portion sizes. The spicing is very nicely balanced, delivering on expectations (which in my case are high!). The pricing is reasonable (especially compared to other of Birmingham's high-end Indian restaurants) - and certainly fair in light of the quality and quantity delivered. I really like the decor and ambiance of the restaurant - modern, fresh, comfortable, elegant and clean - and the view into the kitchen is reassuring of kitchen standards (the kitchen also looking immaculate). The front of house team are very friendly, professional, seemingly valuing our custom and unable to do enough to make our visits comfortable and enjoyable. Service was nicely paced - we never felt rushed, even when we were the last table left in the restaurant and I am sure the staff would have liked to shut up shop. I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants over the years, and Viceroy Tandoori has established itself as one of my firm favourites! I'll definitely be back on a regular basis.
Lovely restaurant, highly recommended for a something a little more special. Clean, bright and contemporary, the widow into the kitchen is a nice touch. The staff were attentive, welcoming and very efficient, getting the balance just right. The food was delicious and the menu offered a nice range of varied and unusual dishes, not just the run-of-the-mill Indian stalwarts. It's not the cheapest, but you still feel like you're getting value for money as the quality of the food is well worth the price
Excellent service superb food very friendly. Well worth a visi if you remember to book a table. We will go again like the look of the banquet menu
Great service , very attentive , food was beautiful and all cooked perfectly . There were 4 in our group and we all eat out a lot and all 4 of us will be going back very soon !!!
The staff where great the food was fantastic , service spot on what more do you want ? . We arrived an hour early and they still managed to fit us in a very busy restaurant . Highly recommended . Just go .
Super restaurant, polite and helpful staff, good atmosphere. It was a delicious meal, the king prawns were beautifully cooked and one of my fellow diners had lamb, so often rather tough in Indian restaurants but this melted in her mouth. You could taste the freshness of the produce. We loved the accompaniments with the poppadums so much we kept them for the main meal! staff could have not done enough.
Exceptional service pleasant and clean surroundings and lovely food at a reasonable price all served quickly. we will definitely be going back even though it will be only twice a year.
