Service good but sat by door and it was a bit of a Draft because so any people were coming in. A pint of beer a little expensive
Went here last night with family & friends, firstly was shown which table we where to be seated at by pointing over to the table, ordered from the 2 course deal, which the food was very good and was good value for money, but it was the waiting for meals, waiting for drinks for ages had to ask again to order drinks,
Lovely food and great atmosphere making it a place I would definitely revisit . Location makes it perfect venue for night out with friends or impromptu visit. Also great value for money.
Pleasant restaurant- light and welcoming. Food good and service friendly although they forgot our French fries. Went prior to the theatre as part of a package but would go again
Excellent meal. Good value.attentive staff. Mushroom starter was particularly nice, and partner enjoyed beef stroganoff. A welcome addition to Preston city centre. We will be back
Brought Grandchildren after Pantomime, age range 4 to 16, fussy eaters! All enjoyed experience ate most adults thoroughly enjoyed. Took Doggy Bag home neighbours enjoyed!!
Enjoyed dinner however staff put all couples in a row together despite it not being that busy so lacked a bit of privacy needed more experience from the staff don't be put off though
Food excellent, service excellent. Good choice on the menu. Dishes competitively priced. My 5 year old granddaughter said her pasta dish was "delicious"! Would go again.
Lovely meal - great way to spend an hour or so before going to watch the panto at Preston Guild Hall - good value for money
Great service, lovely food and reasonably priced. The restaurant is modern and well set out. I will certainly be returning with my family. The Show and dine offer is good value.
Only a Christmas menu available, . Bit of a mix up on the night. Staff thought we had pre ordered, didn't know anything about it. Had we known there wasn't a full Italian menu don't think we would have bothered.
Great food, good portions but excellent service. The festive menu was great value. Soup and pate really home made. Staff got the right mix between efficiency, friendliness and discretion.
Food was really good. Unfortunatley service not so much. 20 minutes to take a drinks order, which was prompted by one of us going to the bar. Then one of the drinks was forgotten which took another 10 minutes. Considering there were only 3 tables this is not acceptable. Thankfully the food was really nice but the waiters need to up their game and be more aware of the customer. I have worked in this trade for 10 years, it's so important to get the service right.
Great meal great atmosphere staff were lovely and atmosphere great
Only short Xmas menu available, restaurant busy with groups so not great experience as couple. Service not great - starters arrived before the wine, no offer of dessert.
Very average. The restaurant itself looks nicer than the food they serve. There’s nothing wrong with it - but it’s just not amazing. Service was attentive though.
Terrible service. Waiting around 1 hour for food to arrive even though we were only customers there. Everything took ages and the food was mediocre
Party of 6, food awesome, service rubbish...they’ll get it eventually l....took 20mins to take drink order then our drinks went to another table, funny night x
Nice surroundings, delicious food, recommend it. Why do you need 25 word? Don't see the point when I can say all I need to with six words
The food was lovely but I thought the portions were small great for me and my girlfriends but my husband would have left hungry had he been with us
Very good plenty more staff on this visit. Food was very tasty and good value for money. We will be visiting again in the near future
Food was lovely and not too expensive but they need to close the outer door; it was freezing outside and eveytime somebody entered or left an icy wind passed our table and we had to sit in coats.
Rubbish, the service was appalling, booked for pre theatre meal which we ended up with 15 mins to eat. The service was so bad I actually took time to email the restaurant direct. Could be a great place but ..... so many bad reviews, will be out of business if something doesn't improve 😔
over booked, poor service, do these experience reviews ever get analysed for improvements are are they just a paper less exercise? please respond etc etc etc etc
We found the restaurant very good for food, choice, location, service and ambiance. We were going to the theatre so it was an ideal venue.
The food was excellent and portion size just right. We had the pre theatre meal, we arrived at 6.45pm and the restaurant was very busy so service was a bit slow so the end of our meal felt rushed. We will go again but try and arrive earlier.
Appalling service .Food ok when eventually arrived. Four people got starters and mains spasmodically!! Couldn't leave as going to a show and had no time!!
Lovely food, ant pasti sharer stater could have been more substantial. Staff lovely. We would come here again . The Tagliata was gorgeous . Facilities good.
We booked a table for 6 o'clock, Over an hour later we hadn't even had our starters. Had a show to get to by 8 so had to leave having not eaten a thing! Resaurant had been overbooked, food was slow coming out of kitchen and other tables hadbeen in an hour and a half and were only just receiving their main courses. Real shame cause the food that was being served food did look nice, but can only comment on our experience.
Food was very good. Only thing that slightly spoilt our meal was our table which was just opposite the entrance. Every time someone came in we felt a draft of cold air. Next time I would ask for a different table. Everything else was excellent.
They had a new menu and the food was delicious. We were looked after by a caring and friendly staff. The people in my table were also very impressed. I will definitely go back!
food good poor service when we first entered the villa we must have been in 10 mins before we were offered a drink and then we had to request them to take our order
Not too bad food, not much atmosphere, prefer a traditional Italian family run restaurant. It was very noisy from an event above in the Guild Hall so wouldn't recommend for a quiet romantic meal.
They seemed to be short staffed, turning people away who had not booked a table. Took 45mins before the food arrived. However the food was extremely good tasty, hot, and most enjoyable.
The order for our meals was mixed up & we had to wait a further 25 mins before the right meals came out - one of the meals was only luke warm
Service cheerful and prompt, chicken wings great, but we asked for poppolette with pasta rather than potatoes. Obligingly this was provided but with pasta and meat balls served separately in small dishes, also the meat balls were smothered in Bolognese sauce thick with mince! really these were fundamental errors for an Italian restaurant. Flavours were reasonably authentic so OK I suppose...but this sloppiness needs looking at by senior chef.
Lovely food reasonably priced and pretty fast service. Perfect to eat at before a show. All dishes in our party were lovely. No complaints at all
Staff were reasonable and friendly, prices are fair but the food is very much underwhelming. For starters, my son had the chicken wings which went down well, my wife had the tomato soup which she says was good but not exceptional and I had the bruschetta which was bland, lacked seasoning and needed some olive oil. For main, my son and I both had a different pizza each but both bases were very soggy. My wife had a chicken dish with roasted veg which equated to a lot of parsnips. Maybe that was all the veg that was available.
The staff were rather unhelpful. Arrived and girl on desk stood on either her phone or some device and never acknowledged us what so ever. Had to wait for someone else to come an attend out arrival. Not good. Ordered wine and it was just put on table. Good job it was screw top - otherwise we would have been calling waitress back to open it. The staff we're also turning customers away for some reason and yet place was empty and plenty of time to serve prior to local show/event. No light in cynical of toilet and no paper and rather grubby . Food was good though 😉
Superb food, good atmosphere and excellent service. Well worth a visit. This is the second time of visiting and it never disappoints. Thank you very much.
We had a most enjoyable meal very pleasantly served and presented. We shall certainly come again when coming to the Guildlhall productions. John & Jose
Service good, ordered a meat dish with veg, the meat was nice although the vegetables had been cooked and re warmed up which was a disappointment.
Food was excellent, quick service and pleasant staff. There was an event in the guildhall which meant quite a lot of children in the restaurant which, needless to say, increased the noise level in the restaurant. This obviously effected the enjoyment but cannot be held against the restaurant as we chose the time to dine. Will certainly dine again.
Had fixed price two course menu, plenty to choose from for starter and main. Portion sizes very good. Food all very tasty, especially the meatballs.
Food was really good but our waiter was awful. He completly forgot to order my dad's starter. I'm not sure if it was his first day but he didn't have any concept of how to take an order, he took 4 out of 6 orders and then started collecting menus and almost forgot to take the remaining 2 orders. Also, there was a loud party next to us, which we didn't mind, but the waiter chose to shout orders from the other side of the table rather than moving closer to the person ordering as he was struggling to hear/understand us. Finally he tried to charge us £4.50 for a bottle of water which he appeared to offer as complimentary table water. (The Manager did cancel this charge when we came to pay). We couldn't fault the food though, my Pork Belly was amazing and I would highly recommend!
The polpette was meatballs covered in a meat bolognaise sauce with 2 types of pasta. Who does this? The is not an authentic Italian restaurant. The decor is nice, modern and fresh though. No offer of Parmesan with our pasta dish. The melansana (Obergine) was way overlooked which ruined it. Plus it has been cut length ways which is a no go.
Service bit hit and miss at times but food and cocktails good. The Porchetta is superb highly recommend one of the best and tastiest dishes eaten.
Shown to our table quickly ... food served hot and deliciously tasty ... and customer serve 1st class.. Will certainly be returning yet again to this lovely eaterie 👍
Dinner with friends and it turned out to be a good choice. The style and decor of the restaurant is modern and with the friendly staff this means that the atmosphere is relaxed meaning you can enjoy the evening with friends. The food is excellent and there were four empty plates at the end. The one criticism is the high price of a bottle of prosecco but that won't stop us going back
Excellent place to eat spent 3 years looking for somewhere great to eat in Preston when visiting our Son at Uni ! Wish we had found you quicker ! Very good value for money !
