Gorgeous Sunday lunch, the choice is excellent, and the price is very good too. The staff are wonderful and the ambience is lovely. Got to be one of the best places to eat in and around Newport. A delight.

We have eaten at Vittorio's quite a few times and we've finally visited to try their Sunday lunch menu. Although we haven't been for a few months, Anna, the owner, recognised us straight away, asked about our family, and we were seated immediately. The food was wonderful - roast beef sirloin for me, stuffed roast pork belly for him. Plenty of food, and three courses for under £20 each is excellent. The only thing that I'd have to mention is that there was a huge party of 38 booked in and the staff were struggling to keep up with service, meaning we had to wait for a long time and find someone to ask for dessert. The bill, including coffees and wines came to under £60. We're definitely going back for another Sunday lunch, it was great value and delicious!

food was ok would I go back not really when you pay nearly £7 for a starter and £22 for a main you expect it to be exceptional rather than ok staff were really helpful and pleasant just wasn't the wow factor

As regulars, the food & service here never disappoints. The cheesecake from the dessert menu is a particular favourite! Would thoroughly recommend. Only point to note is that prices for main meals are a little steep for the portion. Having said that, it really is delicious!

We have used Vittorio's Restaurant on several occasions over the years and always find the staff welcoming and friendly and the food exquisite. We will continue to visit as long as we are able.

There isn’t a bad word to say about this restaurant or it’s staff, the numerous times I’ve visited myself and others with me have never had a bad experience, the food is always cooked to perfection and staff are beyond friendly, warm and welcoming. A perfect restaurant in my eyes.

Brilliant restaurant, serves great food, has fabulous service, and a great relaxed family atmosphere. Perfect for a meal out where you want to chat with family and friends. Cannot ask for more :)

Not enough staff to cope with busy times. Took over an hour to be served our food and we were waiting with young children. The staff did not warn us of the likely delay to receive food and did not once check that we were OK whilst we were waiting. They could quite easily have made the children's experience much better if they had provided some bread to dampen the hunger. When the food arrived, the plates were cold, the portions were small and there were very few pieces of fish or meat on the pizzas and in the pasta. Not at all good value for money and not an experience we will ever repeat. Staff not very friendly and helpful. Unenjoyable all round.

Never been to an authentic Italian restaurant before and I was not disappointed, the place itself is nicely decorated and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is just fantastic quality, the meatball starter was the best meatballs I've ever had and the lasagne was like none I've ever tasted, you could tell it was homemade with proper pasta. Will definitely be going back.

Had a great family evening in Vittorios. Relaxed atmosphere, good service, and of course lovely food. We all had starters, mains, and desserts, and left the restaurant happy and full so what else can you ask from an authentic family run Italian restaurant.

We have been dining at Vittorio's for over 25 years, and have never had a bad meal. The food last night was superb, my steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta dishes were well received. I have no problem with highly recommending this restaurant.

A wonderfully welcoming atmosphere and excellent quality of food in this family run restaurant which has been open for over 30 years in the same spot in Newport opposite the cathedral.

Big portions Proper Italian food Stonebaked pizza was heaven Dessert tiramisu and fresh raspberry gateaux anazing Can't wait to go again Mothers day set menu looked good too 65 quid for two starters. Three sides two mains two desserts one glass if house red and on glass of prosecco

The service was excellent and very attentive, the starter of polpotte and bruschetta were perfect, the one meal (Penne Arribiatta) was over cooked despite asking for the pasta to be aldente, despite the over cooked pasta I would recommend this restaurant.

The food was beautiful and the service was fantastic, all very friendly and tentative. The food was served in a good time, I had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly and my husband had a pizza which was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again!
