Lovely lunch staff were really helpful and accommodating. The only downside is if you go when there is a coach party, then you have to que among them and it takes a while.

I have been to the Punch Bowl several times before when I have enjoyed and been impressed by the excellent carvery. This time I took 2 friends who chose from the menu while I again had the carvery. One had gammon which she pronounced uneatable, being tough, difficult to cut and cold, so it was sent back. A replacement or alternative was offered but she had understandably lost her appetite. The other lady, who had salmon, did eat her meal but said it was not hot. My carvery meal was again good. Our starters and puddings were all fine. This was a disappointment after my previous experience, but to be fair, the cost of the whole meal for friend 1 was deducted from the bill which we considered more than reasonable.

The starter wasn't what I ordered as apparently it wasn't available (why not?) but I wasn't told just given something else. When I complained I was offered a complementary dessert - good customer service. But, guess what, the dessert wasn't as described on the menu! Food was OK but not special so if you don't care what you actually get to eat it was OK. The service was excellent and very friendly.

Brilliant food as always. Staff are always polite, friendly and serve you with a smile. 2 meals and 2 drinks for less than £20, can't complain at that!!

We always enjoy our meals usually at the punch bowl, however this time it was not so good. No taste in the roast potatoes or couliflower cheese, gravy was very thin and the beer was awful. The saving grace, all the meats was good.

Good selection and meats. I was disappointed somewhat with the vegetable selection, no mashed potato!!. But the food was hot and we enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately our table was positioned next to the actual carvery queuing area so it was noisy and we felt ' over looked' and uncomfortable as we ate. I thought this carvery was ' nothing special' at all and equal to other caveries in the area.

After being allocated a table (5) we were not happy about being virtually in a thoroughfare with hot food being passed over our heads and people standing to talk with their backsides perched on the edge of our table. We were moved to table 1 much better. Lovely food will come again perhaps next time wee will get a much. Better table.

We're so glad we chose the Punchbowl for lunch. Great service and really nice food. We'd ordered 3 carvery meals and the fish and chips. We were told when to go up for the carvery so all meals came together. Perfect. The carvery was the best I've tasted, fresh, lots yo choose from, good portions and so much flavour. We'll definitely be back again.

First visit and impressed with food, choice of meats was good. Plenty of different veg was a plus and the garlic potatoes were a treat. Only downside was table service was slow bringing menus and ordering.

Sunday Lunch was good. Outrageous price for a glass of Prossecco £7-95 !!! We would like the Ownership to justify this level of price when we were told that the cost for a whole bottle was £20-00.

First time at the Inn but the food was very good meat melted in your mouth and cooked exactly as we like it and not raw as in some places. Both my wife and myself also had a dessert which again was excellent. Definitely eat there again and will recommend to friends.

Good location, nice atmosphere. The older section of the Inn is nicer than the large dining area. Friendly attentive staff and the carvery was tasty and there were lots of vegetables.

Good food, however service needs improvement. Our table was for 12 midday and we had to wait outside until the door was unlocked just on 12 O'clock We each chose the Aga carvery. The carver wasn't sure where the meat was from when I asked if it was local. The coffee arrived before the dessert ? My husband ordered a cappuccino yet the waitress delivered a latte and described it as "here's your cappuccino? We also ordered the cheese board and another waiter followed up with "here's some extra cheese " yet it was butter? It was something of a comedy of errors.
