Selection of meats was very good including Lamb which is very unusual.Plenty of vegetables and help yourself.Very well priced and reasonable.Tables clean.Staff very helpful. Will return.
Excellent food, excellent service. Would recommend to anyone. Went for the carvery on a Saturday lunchtime, good choice of food and well prepared. Excellent value
The Carvery had lovely tender juicy meat, and the roast potatoes were particularly tasty and crisp on the outside. The only problem was Christmas decorations attached to already low beams further reduced the headroom.
had an absolutely fabulous meal which was one of the best carveryies I've ever had .The staff were very polite and friendly especially Kerry who made us feel very welcome .Would recommend this to all my friends.
Lovely setting in the country. We had a carvery lunch in the restaurant which was really good choice of four meats and plenty of vegetables all piping hot. Staff very charming and attentive. Would certainly pay them another visit. Very reasonably priced.
Excellent food and a choice of 5 meats at the carvery. The house red wine was of good quality. Although the wine glasses on the table were small much to my husbands amusement.
Really great atmosphere, food was delicious! Only reason I gave a 4 was because we were told what time we had to leave by before we were even seated. Many thanks.
The food was excellent, selection of drinks caters for all preferences. All the staff are friendly, we would highly recommend you pop by and see for yourself!
It was our first visit and we were really pleased with the surroundings, food, price and service. We've told lots of friends about the whole experience.
Roaring log fire, wonderful cosy atmosphere , superb food and all on a midweek lunchtime. The staff were really friendly and gave us ( my cousin and her 93 year old father) a table opposite the fire. You couldn't ask for more and I highly recommend this fantastic place.
the staff were very friendly and there was a good choice of food on the carvery. I would come here again and recommend this to friends and family
This a lovely busy pub, great atmosphere, friendly and efficient. The carvery is tasty and good value for money. Not local for me but visit about 5 times a year.
Food was great , but to be honest we went to see maetloaf tribute act and that's what i thought i had booked , misleading web site , ps I thought i had booked it wrong , but there where a lot of other folk who had been mislead needless to say we did not get to see the tribute act
Yet another lovely meal there, it's such a nice treat. The look on my aunts face as she is eating her meal is one of sheer ecstasy.
The food here is amazing, always fresh, always wholesome and put that with a good pint, what more can you ask for?
lovely meal, staff very friendly food good. Will certainly visit again and will try the carvery which looked amazing. Very cosy atmosphere and amazing open fire which smelled fabulous when we walked in.
Fantastic! Will definitely be returning:) cavery and huge pudding was enjoyed by all of the family. Worth paying a bit extra for. A lovely birthday outing.
Really tasty Sunday carvery. All the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this place We will be returning soon Great value for your money
Lovely food, definitely going again. Great value for money, will recommend to friends and family
Excellent choice and the carvery meats were juicy and delicious. The pub is VERY warm with a combination of the Aga, heat lamps over the carvery and an open fire! Dress accordingly!!
What a lovely place, this was our first visit. Beautiful setting lovely staff reasonable prices and very tasty food.we would definitely recommend it to our friends and will revisit in the near future Dave Julie and Jill
Very friendly welcome by the staff. Excellent food and service. Pleasantly surprised by the bill. Would recommend but would advise that you book a table..
Lovely lunch staff were really helpful and accommodating. The only downside is if you go when there is a coach party, then you have to que among them and it takes a while.
POOR, LIMITED CHOICE, TWO ITEMS OF FOOD NOT AS ASKED FOR, STAFF NON TO HELP FULL, OVERALL, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING, SUFFICE TO SAY , WILL NOT BE RETURNING
Friendly accomdating staff. Excellent food and service and reasonably priced. Good choice of vegetables all perfectly cooked. Fourth visit and can not wait to return again soon

Very good service. Staff very pleasant and knowledgable. Very good food at very low price. Good variety of food on the buffet. We booked in advance because it ca get very busy.
Excellent food, great staff, all as it should be, very pleased. I am a big water an I struggled to finish the carvery, certainly no room for a desert!
Carvery was lovely, plenty choice and food nice and hot. Really enjoyed my meal. Service was also good. Nice quiet relaxed atmosphere, with little area which are ideal for families.
There were twelve in our party ages ranging from 9 to 77. We were celebrating a 21st birthday. We all enjoyed the carvery, it was excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Great venue. Thank you
Very good meat was nice and the veg were the best I have had at a carvery .service was good and staff were very nice
Lovely food , great service, good atmosphere, nice setting , fab , fab , fab , fab , fab , lovely , good , fab , nice meat
Fantastic as ever!! The food is exceptional and the staff are always so friendly. Its the best carvery by far and It's a lovely place to visit.
I have been to the Punch Bowl several times before when I have enjoyed and been impressed by the excellent carvery. This time I took 2 friends who chose from the menu while I again had the carvery. One had gammon which she pronounced uneatable, being tough, difficult to cut and cold, so it was sent back. A replacement or alternative was offered but she had understandably lost her appetite. The other lady, who had salmon, did eat her meal but said it was not hot. My carvery meal was again good. Our starters and puddings were all fine. This was a disappointment after my previous experience, but to be fair, the cost of the whole meal for friend 1 was deducted from the bill which we considered more than reasonable.
Good food. great service. Will be going again without doubt..
The starter wasn't what I ordered as apparently it wasn't available (why not?) but I wasn't told just given something else. When I complained I was offered a complementary dessert - good customer service. But, guess what, the dessert wasn't as described on the menu! Food was OK but not special so if you don't care what you actually get to eat it was OK. The service was excellent and very friendly.
We always enjoy our meals usually at the punch bowl, however this time it was not so good. No taste in the roast potatoes or couliflower cheese, gravy was very thin and the beer was awful. The saving grace, all the meats was good.
The food here was amazing! Well worth the drive from Shrewsbury to visit... Will be back again very soon, both the food and the customer service was second to none
Brilliant food as always. Staff are always polite, friendly and serve you with a smile. 2 meals and 2 drinks for less than £20, can't complain at that!!
First visit and impressed with food, choice of meats was good. Plenty of different veg was a plus and the garlic potatoes were a treat. Only downside was table service was slow bringing menus and ordering.
