Had a lovely meal in pleasant surrounds so will definitely be returning as soon as I can. The menu has plenty of choice and the quality of the dishes I had were great.

Nice food but obnoxious music or videos being played from a phone by a staff member over the top of the dining room music ruined the ambience.

In General dinner was good with one exception. We ordered papadum to share at the table but realised we were charged 5 times the amount according to the number of people seated. No one asked us how many portion we want and to pay £12.5 for papadum is not reasonable. We are many times in Indian restaurants and never paid this amount.

Lovely relaxed dinner with extended family. The food was delicious. The service was great and the person was informative about the dishes and how they are prepared. This is a very nice restaurant indeed.

Our first visit to Zaffrani, and we will definitely be back! The food was excellent; the welcome was warm and genuine and the service very friendly and attentive, but not not overbearing. It got a bit noisy, but nothing can be done about that, in a popular restaurant and it guess it did at a bit of atmosphere.

I have a lovely meal in this restaurant which is in a good location. The menu offers plenty of choice and it’s reasonably priced for the area.

Food was excellent. Staff very attentive without being intrusive. It is a vibrant place to eat so it's not quiet but a nice background noise of other customers chatting and enjoying their food.. A nice atmosphere.

My family took me to Zaffrani for Mother’s Day. I had a wonderful time/. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I would definitely go there again. Thanks Zaffrani. I recommend anyone to try it you won’t be disappointed.

First time trying this restaurant and it has dishes I’ve not seen before so went with the spicy Murghi chicken which was really good so would definitely have this dish again.

We were steered away from a tikka starter, to another wrapped prawn dish which was lacking in salt and flavour - wondered whether they were unprepared at lunchtime to serve this oven-requiring dish? Similarly, the slow-cooked lamb shank was unavailable, and we ended up with a lamb chop dish where the meat was of average flavour and a little tough - had been hoping for a fall-off-the-bone slow-cooked offering. Again, perhaps they are only ready for clay-oven slow-cooked orders in the evening.

We really enjoyed the evening meal .Staff were so attentive and friendly- there was a big noisy group nearby and the staff offered us another table even without us asking which we thought was very thoughtful. The menu is extensive and the food came quickly and was delicious

Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere for very reasonable prices. We were served by Jack who was most helpful. The place is a lovely finding in Angel, I didn't know it before, and I will certainly visit again.

We booked for 8.15, it was to be a special birthday treat. Arrived at 8.10 behind a substantial queue of people awaiting takeaways. Every table occupied. At 8.20 two people arrived claiming to have booked for 8.30. By 8.35 they were seated at the first available table which was large enough for 4. No sign of anyone joining them. We continued waiting but still no table by 8.45 despite profuse apologies but no explanation as to why others had been allowed to jump the queue (they were obviously regulars) or why our reservation had not been respected. We left at 8.50 to eat elsewhere. Zaffrani serves good food but not so great that I will miss going back there. For the sake of over-booking they have lost all of my future custom and recommendations.
