After visiting a lot of Chinese cuisine restaurants in Bournemouth and Poole, I found the best finally…. 1805 is as authentic as the food back in Hong Kong, the service is quick, the ambience is outstanding, the pricing is on point and the wine selection is good.

I was a bit disappointed that a part of my order was missing; I’d ordered egg fried rice for my daughter and one for myself but only hers arrived. The waiter offered to fetch some but I already had my Singapore vermicelli at this point and didn’t know how long it would take so I declined. Also I think that £6.50 for a bottle of water is excessive as is £6 for a small bottle of Asahi lager. The food was top notch and the restaurant itself is beautiful.

A lovely restaurant, friendly and attentive staff. We chose the set meal the food tasted lovely but felt that the quantity was not great. The Duck and pancakes were cold on arrival.. we felt had been waiting for us to finish our starter.. we told the staff and it was brought back to us warmer, yet the duck was even drier. Although a lovely restaurant we would not rush back.

We had friendly and efficient waiting staff and all the food your delicious. The small bottle of beer was £6 which was outrageous so we won’t bother with that in the future.

A quiet Monday night. Good food. Especially the duck, crispy shredded beef and beef in Mongolian sauce. We will definately be back to try one or two of your other dishes.
