Great food and service highly recommended , soft shell crab was superb

the Spicy pork was dry and chewy, the setting is lovely but the whole evening was Hugely over priced. Unfortunately I would not come again for that reason. I didn’t leave full

Came for a birthday meal which was our second visit. The 1805 is by far the best Chinese restaurant that we have used the food is second to none and the setting is excellent, the staff are attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be back.

lovely place to go for Chinese meal - as it was a Saturday night it got quite noisy after 8 pm. However, service and food were great.

Lovely fresh food, very tasty & delicious, great service surprised it wasn’t busy for a Thursday evening in early December. Only negative... it was a tad too expensive to go there other than for a special occasion. Don’t mind paying for good food but would like to be able to afford to go more often & think they would be busier if they slightly reduced their prices.

Extremely friendly and attentive staff (who keep there distance until needed). Ordered the set meal for 2 - WOW, brilliant value for money. Would highly recommend visiting 1805. We will definitely return when in Bournemouth again.

Great atmosphere but very noisey. Food was delicious and plenty of it, however it was very slow service. We had to prompt staff with our empty drink glasses but they were all very busy. Great meal and drinks with friends. Will visit again.

This wonderful restaurant produces consistently delicious food. A regular favourite for the ladies who lunch.

Great food but we would have liked to have ordered three of the set meals for the four of us as there was far too much to eat and we left a lot.

Fabulas chinese food and great service..5 star!! wiil be back

Food and service is excellent but the restaurant design makes it incredibly noisy. The problem is that the the walls and floor are very hard flat surfaces which look great but reflect the sound back into the restaurant. There is a false ceiling which also adds a sort of echo effect to the noise.

This place should have more people in it. The place was a little empty but I can’t imagine why as the food was absolutely amazing and the service and drinks were also top quality. The duck with truffle sauce, crispy prawns with cashew and dry chilli and the soft shell crab were particular highlights but honestly, everything was delicious! Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.

What we most disliked was the noise. It is minimally furnished with hard floors and no curtains, therefore there is nothing to absorb sound. The restaurant was practically empty on a Monday lunchtime, but we found that the noise of people chatting and laughing at nearby tables meant that we couldn’t hear each other. All the diners had been put at window tables. Next time we will ask to be away from other people. There was plenty of room.

Problem with a dirty glass quickly resolved and a large complimentary Pinot provided . Lovely food and decor so worth that little bit extra price wise . Will go again when next in Bournemouth .

The restaurant looks good as you approach which is always nice when you visit somewhere for the first time. We were given a table at the front by the windows and not far from the main entrance. This was an issue as people were exiting the restaurant to smoke right out the front of the restaurant and the smoke/smell was coming back into the building. If we had approached the restaurant with people smoking right out the front we would have had a very dim view before we had even entered. The waiter who was serving our table was literally watching us eat. The minute we put anything down he was over to take it away. We had to stop him taking our first course. We pay to be in a restaurant to relax, enjoy the food and talk. We felt watched the whole time and when we started to chat we were interrupted unnecessarily. The food was ok, not what we had excepted. Our favourite restaurant of all time was the City Bay Veiw in Poole so we have eaten Chinse food before and really enjoyed it, however not on this occasion. The whole experience was not great. We will have to continue our search for a decent Chinese restaurant.

From arrival to departure our visit to 1805 was excellent. The service was attentive and friendly throughout and the food was of the highest quality. This is the third time we've been and we will be going again.

The girl that greeted us was not very welcoming. We thought to be told that we had to order drink before we could see the food menu was EXTREMELY odd and we were not happy about that at all. (my husband orders the wine so my daughter and I were left looking at nothing). It took ages to get our wine; we had to ask for it. We were asked how our food was before I had even taken a mouth full!!
