Excellent food - wonderful white truffle with tagliatelle as well as the delicious tagliere. Nice choice of wines by the glass. Good service, warm and relaxed atmosphere - thank you!

Hard to find but 500, the Italian restaurant in Archway, is worth the effort for its surprising range of Italian food and high-class cooking. Servce is excellent as well and a big wine list to boot.Not hesp but you get what you pay for.

Gorgeous meal and great service. My husband and I have wanted to go for a while, very glad we got round to it. We shall definitely revisit!

Excellent meal and service - an absolute delight of a place

Have been planning on going here for years, and it didn't disappoint. We started with the selection of cold starters, then my wife had the venison and I had the lamb - really delicious food, affordable wine list. We will be going back.

Amazing olives, good unobtrusive service, good wine, good homemade gnocchi but unfortunately the rest of the food we had left us feeling underwhelmed. Nothing awful or bad but not as special as the last time we went which was a few years ago but left us talking enthusiastically about it for ages. We won't mention it much after our last visit...

The food here is delicious and feels authentically Italian. Service is very friendly and also efficient. We shall definitely come again.

As usual, a great meal with attentive staff. We had light parcels to start followed by "Chargrilled loin of lamb served with oven baked squash e chestnuts. Almonds and anchovies dressing" - succulent lamb, soft squash and a delicious dressing. Yummy!! We also had a rather good bottle of Nero d'Avolo. As always, the bill was a lot less than we expected. Highly recommended!!!

Great flavours. Have the pork ravioli! Best pasta dish I've ever eaten, and I've been all over Italy!

Shared starter was great. We think the crab is the best bit but its a tough one. For main course the pasta with white truffle was absolutely delicious.

Food was great when I went a few years ago. Lukewarm and bland in 2014.

Nice food, nice staff and good wine. Just a tad loud. Some soft furnishing in the room to absorb the worst would help the acustics.

The food and service were excellent. I like the fact that the menu is changed regularly.

Excellent evening - very friendly owner/manager; good soup with an abundance of slivers of truffle, great pasta with tender beef ragu and delicious side dish of vegetables. Impressive wine list with a very affordable wonderful Canonnau. Shame that all things come to pass, including a great meal with friends at this gem. So I can only promise myself and the staff to come back soon. I will, still in 2017.

Admittedly it was Saturday night, but we found the place very noisy - maybe some soft furnishings, carpet, would help. The service is very pleasant, if slow when they are stretched. The portions are too large, thought the food is tasty enough.

The place was small, nice but small, and very quite since my husband and I visited at 7pm on Friday evening. Service was friendly and attentive, but as I said there were less then 10 customers. The food is not great, just average. We managed to taste all the starters and I have to say we weren't impressed. The cantaloupe melon was tasteless, so was the tomato with mozzarella (no heritage tomatoes as they say on the menu, just a basic and tasteless tomato). No dressing, no extra virgin olive oil, no salt... and you need some dressing when the ingredients are not top quality. Vitello tonnato are very cold, straight from the fridge, and its sauce wasn't enough to dress it pleasantly. Crabmeat, again, no flavour. Also, we had pasta with monkfish. It was ok, al dente, but too much salty for my taste, not well balanced, especially after all those blend starters. In a nutshell: not so bad, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Fantastic food and really good service. It was our anniversary and I thought they knew it so a drink after dinner would have been appreciated but didn't arrive - but none the less it was very lovely and would definitely go again

Second visit and once again the restaurant delivered excellent food with great service. At first sight the menu appears limited when compared with other Italian restaurants but there is sufficient choice. We had the beef for two and it was top rate.

Excellent food the 500 mixed starter is perfect for 2 people as you get to taste a little of everything. The pasta is homemade and delicious! It's a local regular restaurant for us.

I have been this small but brilliant Italian restaurants quite a lot and never been let down. They change the menu regularly and always offer fresh dishes. Anything from the starters and the desserts you can't make a mistake!

Lovely local Italiam restaurant! Fantastic food and great service. We had frito mixto starter and ravioli with lemon zest and asparagus, and pasta with slow cooked ragu. Delicious!

Excellent restaurant, been many times, never disappointed. Very good value for the quality of the food. Quite generous portions, they are often not too fussy about presentation, too straight forward for that perhaps..

It was my 2nd visit - the last one was 9 months ago . I can't work out why it took me so long to go back . The food is authentic Italian , the menu imaginative but not too long . Service professional and friendly and the price , for great quality , very reasonable. Give it a try - you won't be dissapointed!

This restaurant is a very good local italian restaurant with excellent food, very pleasant service and a lively atmosphere.To be recommended, particularly the home made breads.

Along the lines of good to very good home cooked food at reasonable prices, attentive and friendly service. also very reasonably priced wine list of Italian wines.
