Delicious as always. Particularly good value being able to use the early discount. This is a real gem of a restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food - it was imaginative but unpretentious. Pleasant, efficient service. It is wonderful to have a local restaurant like this. I wish it was easier to get into.

The quality of the food, especially the cheeses, is excellent. No frills, just good cooking. We have eaten here several times and will continue to do so

We had the shared platter to start. a nice way to sample and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious. The pasta we ordered was also very good, al dente as should be, with wonderfully rich and velvety sauces. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The only let down was the decor. It is not as elegant as the food. And I did not like the slight unpleasant smell of cleaning product in the restaurant. But even that did not spoil the experience. We will definitely return .

Went with the family and had a very enjoyable experience the food was Fantastic and prices reasonable for the quality. Service good with nice relaxing atmosphere.

Italian food done really really well - from bruchettas, pasta, roasted rabbit to lam chops. Large portions so no room for puddings, wish hadn't front-loaded so much! Service not ultra-friendly but competent.

Really excellent food, well prepared and served in a friendly and professional manner. Varied tastes in our party were well catered for. And white truffles are in season.....

A relaxed local Italian with really excellent food & wine. Really reasonably priced. Great for meeting with friends or larger group celebrations. We have done both there.

Shared starter plate not up to usual standard. Everything else - mains excellent (lamb, tuna, contorni) all cooked to perfection. Service, as always, was attentive without being intrusive. Waiter's recommendation for red wine was spot on. All in all, the usual festive dining experience despite the slight let down of opening act. We continue to love 500.

We had a truly excellent meal and found all the staff extremely courteous and helpful (especially concerning my intolerance of onions - rather inconvenient in an Italian restaurant!)

Never a negative experience at 500. Excellent food, excellent value. Don't really want to say how great it is or I will never get a table !!

Very nice place! We had the mixed starters Tagliere 500 which was excellent. Most of the mains were very good, we thought they could've been more seasoned and a risotto could have been more mushy for our taste but it was definitely all'onda. We had excellently cooked hake!

I'm always astounded by what good value 500 is. The standard of cooking is very high and the bill always surprisingly small. They also have a great selection of reasonably priced wines. The food is delicious, especially the pasta. Our favourite is the beef ragu which is meaty and rich. We always have the selection of starters - you get to try a bit of everything and it's a generous amount for two. A wonderful neighbourhood restaurant but worth travelling for too.

Still buzzing after another excellent meal at 500. The sincere friendly convivial welcome & service only bettered by the kitchen who offer up dishes of true perfection. The antipasta are wonderful, with the San Danielle and melon, & white and brown crab Carta music "lasagna" standouts, whilst the ravioli is ravishing richly delicious. The place to go for Italian, with a sublimely sardegna vibe, luxury at more than affordable prices!

If you go to an Italian restaurant called 500 in Holloway Road, you won't be disappointed. The food is outstandingly good and the Italian waiters delightful. One always gets a warm welcome.

Grazie mille a tutti! As ever 500 just as concisely, chic, Unitarian, and excellent as the vehicle it is christened after, perfect in every way. I recommend it, the food, wine and service consistently supreme, but don`t just take my word for it, book and try it yourself!

I feel lucky to have this great local restaurant. We love a sharing starter which has a lot of variation, which fits for summer evening especially. Service was very friendly.

Pleasant intimate Italian restaurant. Good menu, food and service. Open on a Sunday evening which is not always the case with other restaurants. Must book as a small number of tables.

Good food and service, and decent prices, at 500 Restaurant hidden away behind an unprepossessing front facing the street which you could easily walk past without realising that somewhere worth visiting lies behind it.

The food is very good and service efficient and friendly. The restaurant suffers from the usual noise because of the hard surfaces. Overall though very good.

It's a lovely gem -- an oasis of Italian tranquillity on one of London's busiest roads. You feel like you've stepped into Italy. The food is exquisite. I went with a friend who has been to the best five-star restaurants around the world, and he thinks it's a brilliant restaurant that gets it all right: food, ambience, service, price. Starters were delicious but unfortunately the crab starter gave my friend a very bad stomach when we got home. The lamb and steaks were brilliant, my rabbit was ok but the sauce way too strong and mash too sloppy

Great food and service. A real local hidden gem. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. Please book as it gets busy and they were turning people away.

It's not in the most prepossessing location, but 500 is worth it when you walk through the door. Service is great, it's a friendly family-run operation and the food is truly splendid. Burrata and fritto misto are stand-outs if you see them on the menu.

A fabulous evening - excellent, delicious food (was only planning two courses but ended up having three) and extremely good value. We will be returning soon.

Excellent, authentic and reasonably priced Italian food; fascinating wine; attentive and friendly service; attractively laid out; and situated in the centre of a vibrant, local community outside the frenetic confines of central London but also readily accessible-this restaurant is a real treasure which we are determined to visit again on our next expedition from Liverpool to London.
