Al Porto

Love the food here. Authentically Italian especially the nduja sausage pasta. Staff are great, well trained and proud. Always smiling and efficient. Nice easy location for a walk around the marina after dinner. It's a hull hidden gem for me!

Very nice meal food was top end very friendly staff on hand when you needed them location is good would recommend will be back soon

3rd time we've been and it was as good as the first. Can't fault the food (my mouth is watering as I type! ) or overpriced and the beer is good too

We took our son out for a Birthday meal, what a fantastic meal, we all chose from the 'Specials Board' It was cooked to perfection!

The Scollop started was excellent. Whilst the Halibut main course was tasty it was not as advertised on the Specials Menu.. The risotto was shown as pea risotto on the menu but it was served just plain. We spoke to the waiter about it who said it was a mistake and apologised.

Great service and food. I took friends for a birthday present they were over the moon. This is the fifth time we have been and will soon be back again.

We had a lovely meal at Al Porto to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and very efficient.

The restaurant wasn't too busy when I went and the staff were pretty slow considering. But the food was amazing and the atmosphere/aesthetic is lovely, I would definitely go again.

Food service and atmosphere was spot on was a little busy last night and loud to the point where you couldn't hear each other speak but apart from that everything else was faultless.

Excellent, chilled out experience. All staff were smiley and courteous, food was delicious, a lovely time was had by all. We will definitely return 😃

Nice welcome. Good cold beer. Excellent steak. Meals arrived pretty much all at the same time for a party of 8. Been several times and good consistent service. We'll be going again. The only posible negative was the choice of background music.. ;-) (reflected in the noise score!!)

Attended on a Saturday evening, table of 4. We were early but got seated straight away with no problem. Restaurant is not too small to be crowded, but again not too big to be just a commercial business, a good balance for which made a good atmosphere. Decor is good, a little themed but doesn't leave you thinking what the.... Pretty good main menu with a not too expansive choice, a case of what was on the menu done well and not a big menu done average, and the specials board was very good, we had starters, mains and drinks which worked out less than £30.00 a head. Food was well cooked and beautifully presented, fresh and had not been stood around waiting kept warm Staff attentive but not in your face. All in all a very pleasant first time and will defiantly be going back.

Excellent food and service and reasonable prices. Good range of specials also. Don't be put off by the entrance and the steps up, it is worth it.

We arrived at warehouse 13 on the Hull marina to a Very Pleasing afternoon, Surrounding,Service & Food excellent. This was our first visit and won't be the last.

We went here for my husbands birthday. Service, food and wine were excellent and the best we have had in this area. Would most certainly recommend. 10/10 from us .

I enjoyed my visit to al Porto with friends. We had the lunchtime menu. The food was very good and excellent value. I have recommended the restaurant to a number of friends and family.

We are disappointed that this restaurant has gone down in food quality ,menus and service Atmosphere is not as welcoming as it was a year ago

Food was OK vegetable's were hard Tiramisu just tasted like cream no flavour.beef ravioli was good and chicken with pesto good . . . .

Amazing restaurent with excellent food. Service was brilliant , Childrens choice great as they could have any meal at half the price, ( no chicken noughts for us) Will defiantly be going back.

Beautiful food in lovely surroundings. Food very reasonably priced for its quality. Service perfect, not rushed nor too slow. Would definately recommend for any occasion.

Really nice setting and very attentive staff. The main course was good but slightly spoilt by too much courgette in the lobster ravioli. I would definetly go back though.

6 . Very good food, excellent service ,had scallops followed by sea bream. Went afternoon of 14september before RodStewart event. Would go again when visiting Hull .

Lovely interior, nice staff. Good menu, nice to see a italian thats not all about the Pizzas. My dish - monkfish was very very good, my wife agreed. Hers, chicken in mushroom and wine sauce was 'alright'. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasnt tge taste explosion of the monkfish dish. Desserts were a little narrow - I think maybe 4 different cheesecakes as well as Tiramasu or Ice Cream. We didnt try one but just didnt fancy cheesecake. On the whole, pretty good place. If both dishes were as outstanding as mine the review would be higher 5 or maybe a 6.. but a high 4 means I would still recommend.

We've visited on numerous occasions and never been disappointed, food was tasty and plentiful with lots of choice and a nice specials board. Service was attentive

The whole family went for my sons birthday and we enjoyed it very much, all our choices looked very appetising and we soon cleared the plates. The staff were attentive but not overbearing

An excellent evening for our party of 6. Restaurant was great, staff exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. All 6 of us had different meals, and every one commented on how good it was. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again.

Excellent setting, great service and lovely food - winner I will definitely visit again, well worth looking at as a venue for corporate events as well.

Service was very good. Excellent wine and the food tasted nice. Deep fried goats cheese starter was gorgeous. Only reason I give it a lower rating is because the choice of food for vegetarians is limited. But still would go back

Always a good evening at Al Porto. Nice atmosphere and good food. We tend to use this as a preferred choice for our business events.

restaurant was very busy and overcrowded, was offered a poor table alongside a closed door that was very draughty. waiters miserable and non engaging , food ok but nothing special . had to walk through cloud of cigarette smoke at the doorway of the restaurant. will not be returning there any time soon .

A lovely little restaurant. Very nice staff who were very friendly and always willing to help. The tables were set out nicely. I didn't feel as if I was too close to another table. The food was lovely. Menu is a little confusing about what comes with the dishes. Food portions were the right size for me. I always want to try a desert or something else but I'm usually too full. This was perfect for me. I will definitely be returning again.

Food was excellent, but we had been sat next to a door to start with and asked to be moved. After this all was well and a really good night

This was the first time that I and my family had been to Al Porto and I found the experience excellent, I cannot fault the staff or the food and I would definitely come back and I would recommend Al Porto to friends

Al Porto: This was our first visit and expectations were high, we were greeted and seated very quickly. We ordered a light starter of garlic bread and olives, unfortunately my wife’s bruschetta came dry so we asked for it to be returned and some garlic butter to be applied. When it returned she received two slices of bread heavily coated with garlic butter. So again we sent it back stating we wanted the bread to be bruschetta style this they did. For mains my wife ordered the duck unfortunately this had been cremated I however ordered the risotto marinara I was thoroughly enjoying it and would go as far as to say it was probably the best risotto I have ever had the texture and taste was amazing until that was, I reached a layer of salt which made it totally unpalatable. We then asked to see the sweet menu and having decided our choices we waited and waited until eventually the waitress returned at which point we decided to take the bill instead. The wine, which has been pointed out by previous reviewers was bang on (for my palate). In summary the front of house were charming, the ambience was relaxing the kitchen made some really bad school boy errors. Would we go again? Yes, we believe they deserve a second chance so watch this space!

Food was average, steak very well cooked but the desert cheese cake was still frozen which was disappointing. Staff very friendly and atmosphere nice. Didn't live up to a referral from friends.
