First time at Antico,and will definitely return. We were a party of six for my son’s birthday. The food was lovely,the service excellent and the atmosphere very welcoming . We weren’t rushed and had a fabulous night. We would definitely recommend this restaurant

Wonderful food. We had fillet steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Lively restaurant to sit in. Negatives: They had blatantly over booked. We were squeezed near a doorway and neighbouring table had someone plonked in the end. People couldn’t get passed without risk ok knocking out wine glasses over with their backsides!! Also, we felt very rushed. Courses came out within minutes of ordering and between each other (no rests). Glasses were cleared away with mouthfuls of wine left in and man was hovering with credit card machine 30 seconds after depositing bill. At £45/ head we don’t expect to be wing rushed out after 90 minutes.

Good service, friendly staff, reasonably priced and cracking food! Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future. Give it a try!

We had our first year anniversary dinner; and really enjoyed it. Restaurant has a perfect atmosphere, excellent service, and the staff were really helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone who is after a special dinner.

New Year’s Eve menu 3 course meal , starter ravioli was ok , fillet steak for main taste burnt , brownie dessert burnt, overall pice 120 pound rip off

Must be one of best restaurants in area .Its our second visit to this great place , first visit was a Sunday lunch . This visit we had the Italian , wasn't disappointed neither was my wife . Brilliant meal , lovely inside and great staff . Will be back at Easter on our next visit to Jesmond

The starters were very nice and the main course was nicely cooked although the sauce was a little bland. Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, relatively quiet, great staff. Shame the food wasn’t up to normal quality - over cooked fish and steak ...... They’re normally better than this

Great atmosphere and excellent food. Servers are attentive and extremely courteous. Food is cooked using freshest ingredients which you can tell with every bite. Could not recommend this restaurant enough

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and the food was good. Not the biggest choice of vegetarian food but a nice menu. There’s also a small choice on the early bird menu too which is great value.

Fabulous food - perfect service efficient and professional but not intimidating - loved it. We all had 3 courses - beautiful wine and a liqueur and at around £50 very reasonable for fine dining.

We enjoyed our visit to Antico. The restaurant was busy, which was a good sign, and the waiting staff friendly and knowledgeable. We had a long wait between starter and main, but it was worth waiting for. the mains were hot and tasty. Unfortunately, they started adding another table to ours and laying up ready for the next customers before we had paid, which was appalling.

Lovely restaurant to visit in Newcastle. The food was great, really nicely presented and such good value for money. The service was very good, I'd highly recommend a visit.

We’ve lived in Jesmond for seventeen years and visited Antico for the first time last night with friends after completing Great North Run. Really enjoyed it, great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food, we’ll be back.

Antico was a real find in Jesmond, despite being within a hotel - good food, especially the prawn risotto, good value wines and good value overall, and they take the Gourmet Card! We'll be back!

it was our 38th wedding anniversary and we'd traveled up from Winchester as our horse was running at Newcastle racecourses the next day so I went on the web to find a nice Italian restaurant and we weren't disappointed the staff were attentive and the food was excellent can't recommend you enough

Lovely meal and great service. We had three courses and enjoyed every one. The service was excellent, the waiter quickly noticed when our drinks were empty and was over to fill them up immediately.

Very friendly welcome and a really varied menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely and very relaxed, all diners can feel special. The decor is calming.

2nd visit and was bit busier tonight at 8 pm but we weren't kept waiting ling for our food . Lovely food as last time and lovely friendly staff.only complaint would be about trying to park near restaurant but other than that well worth a visit if you haven't been.again two starters two mains and 4 tonic waters bill was just under £40 very reasonable.

Poor service this time, waited to be asked for drink and never offered sweet menus or offered coffee. Disappointed this time, won’t rush back. Was our anniversary too!

Good food, good service, good value. Early evening meal in the busy restaurant, suggesting that it is recognised as a great place to eat. I would certainly return. Pizzas are large with a right amount of topping, rather than overloaded, pasta dishes have interesting combinations. We were sitting right under a speaker but the staff quickly reduced the volume when asked.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The manager was aware we had tastecards to use but we received the same excellent service as everyone else and the food was delicious! It was a busy Friday evening with a good atmosphere, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and didn’t rush us at all even though we wanted a long gap between our main course and dessert, this wasn’t a problem whatsoever. Highly recommended !

I have selected, on a few occasions, Antico as a business meeting venue with my managers. The staff have been very helpful, efficient and friendly. The meal was excellent and enjoyed by all. Highly recommended.

Good food, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Will return for more! Just a 10 min walk from West Jesmond metro - so we could enjoy a glass or two without worrying about driving.

Great service and good quality food. A nice varied menu but they were sold out of all but 2 dessert options. We will be back!

A Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food which was priced reasonably . All round a great experience, we will defiantly be dining here again!!
