Further Information

Glasgow West End is the perfect place for a night out in the city, and there’s no better way to kick your evening off than with a trip to Ashoka, located in Kelvinhall a few moment from Kelvingrove Art Gallery. Decorated in a simple style with some traditional Indian touches, the food on offer here really speaks for itself. With forty years experience, Ashoka’s cooks have got the art of Indian cooking nailed, and you’ll find an array of their flavour-packed contemporary Indian dishes on the menu.

Start off with something with a bit of a Scottish twist like the haggis pakora, or dive straight into traditional Indian territory with the malabari khathi roll (meat flavoured with Indian herbs and spices, cooked in a tandoori oven and then wrapped in a malabari paratha). Whether you’re seeking out a bit of spice or are more a korma kinda guy or gal, Ashoka’s menu has something for you, with all of its time-tested classics as well as some chef specialities. Situated on Glasgow’s buzzing Argyle Street in the Kelvinhall area, Ashoka is the ideal location for a night out in the West End. Booking in advance is advised!

First class service and food was excellent thank you. The only downside being that the poppadoms had obviously been sitting out for a while as they were soggy. Other than that, great evening.

Great food and good value pre-theatre menu at £10.99 for 2 courses :) We will definitely be back here. Curries were very flavourful and just the right portion size.

Not a great experience. Found a hair in middle of curry. Whilst waiting on someone to attend to us 3 pictures fell off wall onto our table and hit my arm and shoulder. Not impressed! !
