The food was delicious, and the waiter was friendly and attentive. Great location and nice spacious space. We had a nice experience. We will come back again!
We were a party of eight straight from Majesty's Theatre 20yds away. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful with a special dietary requirement. FAB.
Friendly and efficient service, lovely food and good value. Thoroughly recommend!
good food, good service, easy to order, staff with a good understanding of the menu and happy to explain the selection, busy at lunch but good arrived in a reasonable length of time
great food and lovely decour. the service was really good. The location to the venue we were going to was ideal, only a quick walk.
We went to Assaggetti before going to see Phantom of the Opera for a birthday treat. We couldn't fault it. Fabulous restaurant, delicious food, attentive staff. Can't wait to go back again,
Freshly cooked food, very enjoyable. Great place to eat as pre-theatre venue. Very well priced and nicely presented by friendly efficient staff. Will visit again when in locality.
Very convenient for the royal theatre, nice food and good service. They were nice about our lateness and disorganisation. I will certainly be going there again.
Overall food is very good - excellent for sharing. Service was fast, friendly. Have been a couple of times now and will probably become a regular user.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. It was perfectly situated for London Theaters, hence our use. The food was great and came to us extremely quickly upon ordering. The only criticism we had was the whole experience felt rushed. Upon arrival we were asked if we could vacate the table within 1hr 20 minutes.
Everything was lovely and the food was exellent. Staff were very attentive. Good wine list. Great location. We had a lovely evening all round and would certainly go again.
lovely and cosy itialian restaurant with friendly service and good food. definite recommendation for a casual bite. I would recommend making a reservation, rather than walking in as it is quite busy.
Waiters very good. Menu expansive, mixture of Tapas style smaller dishes and mains. Location ideal. However paid £12 for 10 pieces of ravioli, which I feel is a bit of a liberty. If it wasn't for this tiny portion (and equally small dessert) I would have posted a perfect review. Gratuity was included in bill as standard.
Very good food, would try them all again. Good service, we wanted to eat quickly and were in and out within an hour without feeling rushed.
We chose this place as somewhere a little different to the usual pizza/pasta restaurants. We both had pasta dishes - very tasty and well cooked. There was also a good wine selection. The staff were friendly and the service was attentive. I would recommend it as a well priced Italian with a fantastic central location.
An excellent and much enjoyed meal with pleasant staff; have used Assaggetti many times and it is always a pleasurable experience; my colleague also enjoyed the meal and it was their first time
Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and found the portion sizes to be just right. The only thing I could possibly fault was that at times the staff were a little over attentive. I think in total during our meal, we were interrupted 8 times to ask if everything was ok. But overall a very enjoyable meal and, definitely visit again and also recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Restaurant was used for meal prior to evening show. Nice ambiance. Good service, Food was good and arrived quickly. The wine was expensive. Good overall experience though.
Lovely decor and very helpful staff. Had the half-portion of gnocchi filled with Gorgonzola and calf's liver, both of which were delightful. Unfortunately the pannacotta I ordered had too much gelatine for my liking, but overall I'd certainly come back again.
We had reserved for three but ended up with five people for pre theatre drinks and food which they accommodated without problems. Portions for pasta mains were quite small but very tasty, pizza was good and more substantial. A bottle of Prosecco went down nicely! Our order of bread never arrived except on the bill - but was removed when we pointed it out. Overall a good experience and really handy for the Theatre Royal.
Very quick service. Really liked the option of having half portions.
Nice, flexible service, all the plates we chose were good - mushroom risotto and fennel salad stood out. Tartufo for dessert particularly well received, the panna cotta a bit weak
Excellent staff, wonderful food. Only issue was both liver and chicken dishes came without a side dish. However both were lovely. No one in our group wanted a starter, so only ordered pate, meatballs and mixed bread to share, these were delicious and soon disappeared funnily enough!
Great service and good value for money. Excellent location for Her Majesty's Theatre. Only negative was I ordered the chicken parmigiana not realising their version came with mushrooms, but my fault for not checking.
Delicious gluten free pizza. Main pasta portion a little small but very tasty
The food was delicious - would definitely recommend as an alternative to high street Italians, much more authentic
Great service and delicious food and wine! We'll be back! :)
We were greeted on arrival by an extremely apologetic manager who explained that their pizza oven had broken down only 10 minutes ago and they could not serve pizzas as a result, we were offered a table at a nearby sister restaurant but chose to stay and had a very pleasant (pasta) meal served by very helpful staff. I like the place.
On the plus side we enjoyed the food and the service was attentive but not fussy. On the negative side we had to ask twice to get all that we'd actually ordered so had our starter with part way through our main!
Food as excellent, fresh flavours and cooked to perfection. I wanted a variation on my dish from the menu and this was not a problem for them to do and they did that very well. Service was excellent also.
Good food as the last time but had to ask for a waiter to place our order. Never the the less the meal was fine.
Friendly welcome; prompt but not over-quick service; food good. Mixed age-group in restaurant so, whether you're young or old, you wouldn't feel out of it here, at least at lunch-time. Not overly expensive for London West End.
Visited this lovely restaurant with two friends. The food was wonderful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.
Lovely restaurant, great food Italian tapas, genius, fast service. Great quick pre-theatre
We really enjoyed our lunch, very friendly staff, good advice on what to choose, a very cold day but a very warm welcome!! We will be back! LIZ JONES
Lovely food. However, tiny tiny portions. Even the pasta dishes were small. Tiny sausage and not much meat so order sides with any main. Desserts were heaven however they were also tiny tiny, think sample size. I'd get two or three if I were to go back which I might consider in the future.
Very pleasant and attentive staff; good menu and tasty food. The restaurant is ideally placed for cinema and theatre. This time we went to the cinema next door, and found the location very convenient.
Another enjoyable lunch with lovely staff! Please tell the waiter from Genoa that our grandson was fine. The waiter asked did he have any allergies and checked his menu choice did not contain peanuts. We explained he had a peanut allergy and he went off to check with the chef. Please tell him all was fine and he really enjoyed his lunch, as did we. We'll be back. LIZ JONES
Having booked the restaurant twice now for clients the feedback is; excellent service, excellent food and a very enjoyable experience. I will certainly be booking again in the very near future.
Good location and fast, almost over enthusiastic service. Menu selection looks wide but rather short on interesting pasta dishes. Wine rather expensive for what it was.
Good meal with attentative staff, perhaps a little to so as we felt rather rushed. Perhaps they thought we need to get to the theatre, which we didn't. So if you are short on time they would probably be just what you needed.
Really tasty pizza and very nice setting. Service was quick.
Excellent service, lovely food and perfect location for theatre in Haymarket.
We enjoyed our pre-theatre meal. The smaller bites (like tapas ) were a welcome change from large plates of one dish. Service was cheerful and efficient
Very poor quality food and not good value for money. Really disappointing compared to what it could be. A real Italian would be horrified that such poor food is being sold as Italian.
Italian excellence. Hidden gem near theatres of the west end. Food and service ezxeptional. Will definitely visit when next in London
What a great find. Attentive, friendly staff and fabulous food. A great alternative to the usual tourist traps of the west end!
Very central, buzzing atmosphere, excellent service and therefore great for a pre-theatre meal. But I thought it was quite expensive for what we got. Also I felt the description of my main course was misleading. It said 'ravioli with scampi', which sounded nice. However, when the waitress told me it was actually ravioli filled with salmon, with a cream of scampi sauce (no actual scampi pieces), I went off the idea and opted for the scallops and seafood. I assumed it would come with pasta, but this had to be added as an extra, which also wasn't made clear in the menu. So, overall a mixed experience and I'm not sure if we will go back a second time.
Service was quick and friendly. Very good menu and good value for money. The only downside was the adding of a 12.5% service charge to the bill.
Although the service was friendly enough, the efficiency, speed and accuracy of the service wasn't very good at all, and it was hard to get anyone's attention and they add a 12.5% service charge to the bill regardless, even for small parties. The food was quite tasty but small portions and not great value for money - though this is an expensive area of London. We had to chase our food a couple of times as well. I don't think I'll return here even though it is very convenient for the theatres in the area.
