Great place. Quality food and friendly staff. Shame it wasn't busier. Probably the best non-chain restaurant in Godalming. Much better than the other independent Italian in my opinion.

it was such a lovely dinner . This was our second visit at the restaurant and again it did not disappoint me and my family great fresh food and lovely staffs !

It was very nice and had fantastic starter and main course, both utterly fantastic. Service was impeccable as always. Highly recommend and is a popular restaurant so reservation is strongly recommended.

Went for the special Sunday lunch menu; booked well in advance. Arrived to find that only the normal dinner menu was on offer because, to boot, the chef was on holiday. Asked about the catch of the day which was on the menu but was told that was not on offer. Expressed disappointment on both counts, noting that the website gave no indications of disruption and no one contacted us once we'd made our booking. Observed that it was not what I had planned for our wedding anniversary lunchtime celebration treat, away from the kids. Basic apology given by the waitress but no other gesture made (eg manager apologising; complementary coffee;...) Not sure who was cooking but they did a good job. Core Italian food with good ingredients and decent composition. Will go back at some point but will not rush as there are other places out there.

Such friendly, helpful people. Good sharing starters and tasty mains. A reasonable wine selection too. Great place to take the family...and there is plenty of parking nearby.

We arrived for our dinner reservation and were greeted immediately by the welcoming and friendly staff. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We were served some fabulous food made from fresh local produce which tasted great. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend for a relaxed great tasting evening meal.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Authentic cuisine with Scicilian specialities. Perfect place for a quick simple inexpensive meal or for something a bit more special with an excellent choice of wine or craft beers. Highly recommended.

The food was wonderful. The service was friendly, but not too in your face. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. And it was all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Lovely warm welcome and we were seated quickly. The hot starters were fantastic. My main course was fantastic (Hake) and my wife's pasta was tasty but lacked much aubergine which when it is called an aubergine & tomato pasta was a shame. The decadent sundaes are great to share and are delicious. We had a nice bottle of wine and a couple of dessert drinks and the bill was around £75.00, not cheap but hardly extortionate for the quality of food.

The staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The service was prompt and the food was amazing! Really tasty! Will definitely be visiting again when I'm in the area.

Great food and great service. Can't wait to come back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We came earlier in the year and it was very busy so it took a bit longer than normal to get served. We didn't complain and didn't consider it excessive, but got an email later in the evening apologising and offering us a free bottle of wine, which we have just had.

Another great meal in the friendly atmosphere at Barbaracca. We had the Seafood risotto, Lamb with peppers, and spaghetti bolognese sicillian style, all delicious. I thought I would not be able to manage a dessert but the Tiramasu was as light as anything and soon disappeared. Thank you Danielle and your staff.

Excellent service, meal and all around great staff. Very authentic and loved the slightly eclectic vibe and decor with hand painted plates and many other fun items. All the staff were upbeat and extremely helpful.

Great lunch with the kids. They were looked after with well sized portions (not too big or small). Really enjoy Barbaracca when ever I've been.

Wonderful and unusual Sicilian food, very different to the run-of-the-mill Italian. Lovely staff and reasonable pricing. Pear sorbet is heavenly. A big favourite of ours when it was La Luna - even better now.

Loved the food, the new deco is fun, happy and creates vibrant atmosphere. The service is excellent, friendly and refreshing to see that waiters know their wines and food. Would definitely go back again and highly recommend to others!

Lovely restaurant, great staff, very good wine last, delicious food. One very small suggestion - the panelle should be served hot in my opinion. Other than that, superb!

Pleasant welcome to all ages. Quality food without frills. Emphasis on food rather than comfort; although would prefer more fish options. Will plan to go again.

Traditional Italian restaurant with amazing food and amazing service. We couldn't recommend enough and will definitely be returning. The children absolutely loved the fact that they could make their own Ice-cream sundae too!

We were big fans of its forerunner La Luna. Barbaracca provides the same great food and service in a more informal atmosphere. Highly recommended for lunchtime and evening.

Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Lunchtime menu was more than adequate; would definitely recommend the Calamari and the Proseco was sublime, as good as some champagnes I have had, light and very drinkable, good choice for a birthday lunch.

The main part of the restaurant is very noisy - you end up hearing the mundane nonsense of those with time to watch the Jeremy Kyle show..it's more for the riotous... However, there is a quiet little room to the side and it is a sanctuary that allows the more peaceful clientele to really taste the delights of Sicily - my partner - Sicilian, was thrilled with the food, and once we had decamped to the quieter room I could begin to focus my senses on the taste and not the sound! Something for everyone and quite a favourite. :-)

Food was good as was the service and the general ambience, but the mediocre wines were outrageously over priced. So we are most unlikely to go back

Normally I avoid Italian restaurants as the food can be pretty variable and often is below what you could have cooked at home. In case, I couldn't have been more wrong The octopus and potato salad was lovely with the octopus cooked perfectly. I asked for the rump steak to be rare and it came as promised. Overall, one of the nicest restaurant meals, I've had this year

We've been coming to this restaurant for years, both in its previous guise of La Luna and now as Barbaracca, and have never been disappointed. Great food and service.

Great atmosphere, very welcoming and attentive. Good advice provided on wine selection. Mixed platter of meats and cheeses for starters was delicious and plenty for two.

Food was so delicious and amazing value for money, we went at lunch time. The atmosphere and decor attention to detail was quirky and amazing. Staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. My friend had looked at the dinner menus on line and they were able to accommodate her request for it at lunchtime. Our friend is Scilian and she loved her food too. Definitely will go again.
