We had a wonderful time service and food were amazing defo going back

We are a group of 4 ladies. This is my 3rd visit. Another has been here numerous times. First time for the other ladies. The food has always been exceptional. However the arrogant service persists. Female wait staff always very pleasant. The manager(?) is rude and arrogant. Last night was especially bad. He pushes and pushes to order appetizers. Does not take no for an answer. Eventually one of us gave in and ordered an appetizer to share. There was a mistake with my order. I didn’t bother to tell him. It would have taken another half hour to prepare. We didn’t notice the salt and pepper shaker on the table. It was a combined salt shaker and pepper grinder. We asked for the condiments. He picked up the grinder and demonstrated how to use it as if we were stupid. “I’m sorry if it confused you” in his arrogant tone. I just said we hadn’t noticed it. He continuously addressed as young ladies. They will not provide separate bills. They will allow you to pay separately if you do the math for them. On my last visit I was charged 90p to have a second cup of boiling water for my tea. I pointed it out on the bill. No offer to take it off. Trivial but very annoying. In summary despite the exceptional food and nice surroundings we will not be back to be treated in such a misogynistic manner. Cindy Penney

Absolutely brilliant night. Staff were amazing as was the food. We live a long way away but came here 3 years ago and couldn't wait to come back. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect. Hopefully not 3cyears till we visit again

The starter was poor...a small portion of a very poor minestrone soup. No bread with the soup. Main courses OK but pasta portion small Otherwise service good . Ambience pleasant.

Barleo is a lovely wee Italian restaurant . The staff are lovely and provide excellent service. The meals are beautifully presented and authentic . the atmosphere is always welcoming and warm.

First time at BarLeo. Food delicious. Other friends disappointed no vegetables included with mains and no pre-theatre deal available. But still enjoyed the experience and the veal and aubergine veg were delicious.

Excellent as usual 👌.. staff are so lovely, very relaxing atmosphere and beautiful place... Hubby and I had a very luxurious meal.. he had haggis bons bons, an Italian pizza (said both were amazing) and a few pints of peroni... I had haggis stuffed mushrooms (to die for), and a big scizzosi steak with chips as well as a few vodka/lemonades. We were £100 including tip. Well worth the money xx

Attentive, friendly staff. A very good menu and everyone enjoyed their respective meals. We have been before and it has always been good. Our friends were over from Canada and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Good service, reasonable prices, nice setting, my food was okay but my wife was a bit disappointed with the recommended house special of Prawn Ravioli, expected to be served prawns but there was not a prawn in sight, wasn't made clear that they would be mashed up in the stuffing

Friendly service. Good drinks list. Didn’t feel that the ingredients were fresh. This applies to the mushroom risotto ( rubbery mushrooms ) and the seafood linguine ( rubbery squid and prawns ) But overall a nice experience….

Lovely service & Lovely food. My only slight negative is that our chicken & steak were not very large & you do not get any vegetables with your main course. Otherwise our visit was really excellent

Food and restaurant were lovely. However the service was so quick it was bordering on unenjoyable. Booking was at 18:00 we were seated at 17:55 and three courses were done by 18:30! Not quite the chilled dinner we were after but food was lovely nonetheless.
