Bennetts Hotel & Restaurant

Fantastic food and a great atmosphere! was made welcome as soon as we came through the door, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed evening meal :)

Delicious food in a lovely, light and airy atmosphere. Food was second to none as was the service. Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent at Bennetts and will definitely be visiting again

Excellent meal excellent service could not fault anything would recommend for anything if we ere not in Tasmania for Christmas would book for Christmas lunch without hesitation

A simple tasty meal. It was a little quiet,alone most of the time in the restaurant but the waitress was polite & attentive. We've been before and will go again! Hottes chips in Long Eaton. Does Long Eaton know of this cool place?

This was the 4th time that I have been to Bennett's I cannot fault the food and service in anyway. You get a good choice of menu.

We had a wonderful meal at Bennetts....staff were lovely and couldnt do enough. The hotel was beautifully decorated. We will definately go back there. The steak and wine deal was very good value and was cooked to a high standard. Thank you Bennetts.

Top marks! We'll be back again soon. Clean, lovely atmosphere. Menu fairily simple, but excellent value. Also bistro type menu, (for next time). A little gem in our little town. Excellent parking, you do have to drive round the block. DO NOT BE PUT OFF. The website showed the rooms had been upgraded too. Staff pleasant, discrete, attentive. Choice of house wine even, likewise choice of beers. Would not hesitate to recommend

Excellent service very helpful staff was mothers 92nd birthday they brought the cake out with the candles lit after lunch as asked Meal was very nice and very good value i would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to take someone for a birthday meal or any other special occasion or even just a lunch or dinner out 10/10

Great lunch-food excellent. Even received a present as it was Mothers Day! Comfy seating. Had a drink in the bar before the meal, really lovely place.

Absolutely fantastic experience nothing too much trouble for the staff! Could not do enough for us! Treated like royalty nice added touch with the flowers for mum's on Mother's Day!

We dined there for my wifes 70 birthday family meal .Great food and excellent service , very nice smart , modern place, lovely, only slight downside was having to listen to the football on the tv which was louder than the nice music playing in the dining area, but I know you can't cater for everyone. other than than, great place.

We had 2 Sunday lunches which weren't hot warm at best. Customer care was poor and overall we were left feeling disappointed. We won't be going back.

Great service excellent menu good food at a good price. Great atmosphere. Waitresses were very attentive and wanting to please Will be going back again.

Out for dinner at Bennetts with three friends. The staff were attentive and friendly, the service excellent. Our meals were good, but the vegetables were seriously overlooked and this is why I can't give the restaurant a higher rating. It was also very noisy, as there isn't enough floor or wall covering to absorb the sounds in a busy room.

Great hotel and food was good quality staff friendly and helpful when needed. Room clean could have done with a comfortable chair. Or a bigger television so could see from other end of large spacoius room

We had the afternoon lunch 2 courses for £6.95. Good value, A Basic MEnu with about 4 choices including a vegetarian option, but food was enjoyable and nicely cooked. There was also a larger menu on offer with lots more choice but slightly more expensive. Lovely surroundings and attentive staff. Would certainly recommend to friends,

The restaurant was a great experience with high quality food served by friendly and efficient staff. Our main concern was that having booked a table using the Quandoo website the restaurant had no knowledge of our intended visit. The manager said this happened often. Fortunately the manager found us a table but it could have been very awkward due to the inefficiency of the website.

I have posted a review on TripAdvisor. I was not happy with the quality of food, bad service and rude assistant manager. I won't be going there again. It's a pity as it has so much potential.

The food was lovely and the one staff member very attentative. Would just have liked the place to have been warmer, as all 3 of us were cold.

Obvious a popular place, so parking was difficult . Lots of double yellow lines on adjacent streets. Warm welcome from staff. I had to request moving tables as the one we had was in a draught near door. Not a problem for staff though. Décor was modern and lovely, Food was great, nicely served. Good choices. At the end of our meal it got a bit noisy. A party going on , so if you want a quiet meal go early.

Had a lovely meal. The food was very nice and the staff were very attentive good value for money we will definately be returning again.

Really nice. We did the 2steaks and bottle wine for £25. I had to send mine back because the steak was cold, and as it was rare, I could understand. But when returnd it was really good. Chips great. Would recommend

Really nice environment and atmosphere, with friendly staff. Had a Christmas party dinner ,food was good ,but felt it was all a bit rushed .could have done with a few minutes between courses. Entertainment was excellent Overall a really good party night , refreshing to have such a lovely restaurant locally.

Well I must say that I was very disappointed with Bennets Restaurant. We went as a family of 3 generations and we all had the same meal which was Braised Steak with onions and gravy, Seasonal Vegetables, mashed potatoes and peas. The food came with the smallest bit of potato that tasted like Smash, peas that tasted like tinned, not an onion in site, no seasonal veg, hardly any meat and a whole load of sauce. Whilst we all ate it cos we'd waited over 40 minutes for it to arrive it set our mouths on fire all we could taste was pepper! Service was slack too waited 15 mins before our order was taken, 40 mins for the food and then quite a while before the table was cleared. When waitress was told it was too peppery she wasn't interested. Because of the small amount of food served, 2 of my party opted for pudding. They both had Apple Pie and custard which were cold! I'm sure others will have been and enjoyed it but for us it was rubbish and i wouldn't ever go again.

Lovely food, good service and a warm inviting environment. Well pleased overall, can heartily recommend this place as a destination for a good meal . Decent wine list as well.

Food was lovely and very reasonable priced, staff were friendly and customer service was good, felt very welcomed. The only thing that seemed rushed was before we had taken off our coats and sat down, they asked us what drink we wanted.
