Good food, very nicely presented. Service a tad slow but to be fair it was the busiest night of the week. All in all a good experience and will dine there again.

Compact menu, brilliant food, great service. I recommend this place to friends/customers all the time, perfect for lunch specials / dinner / drinks. Definitely one of the best places to goto in the area.

Helpful, attentive staff. Delicious food (I had the special Lamb Shoulder). Nice, busy ambience. Not for anyone wanting a quiet meal. Will go again when visiting the area next time.

Great food, great atmosphere thanks to everyone at the bird in hand. My wife's birthday meal with the family cheers. We will be along again sometime soon.

Fabulous food and great friendly service. Would definitely visit again. Menu changes regularly so you can always get different food each time you go. Also caters for vegetarians as well as the meat eater in the party!

New Year’s Day lunch time so busy, even so service excellent, good atmosphere and both food and drinks enjoyable. Food very well presented without too long a wait.

An interesting menu with really high quality food. Presentation was outstanding, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The midday lunch menu is really good value for money.

Excellent food, reasonable price, quite good service despite being busy, nice ambience, I would recommend it. Car Park was very full so get there early

Our meal was very good and as I am a Coeliac they were very adaptable with my choice I was able to have the fish I wanted but grilled instead of battered. The staff were very attentive and at the end of our meal we had lovely hot coffee(often it's served Luke warm which I hate) I would certainly recommend this Restaurant.

A thoroughly excellent pub. Very nice bar area with comfortable seating. Good range of well kept beer, including from Woking based Thurstons brewery. Pleasant restaurant area with sensibly spaced tables. Food really tasty, decent portions and reasonably priced. All the staff who dealt with us were helpful, friendly and cheerful. We will be going back!

First time visit and we thought the food was really good value for money and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Fantastic gastro pub, great atmosphere, attentive & friendly waiting staff. Great menu - was very hard to choose. I decided on a gourmet beef burger, and it did not disappoint. I was impressed that when I placed my order, the waitress let me know that the meat was cooked so it was pink in the middle, I was then able to let her know that I preferred my burger cooked to medium. It was delicious. The puddings were also to die for; I enjoyed profiteroles, and these were served beautifully presented, with a delicious tasting ice cream in the middle and a chocolate truffle on the side. I'll definitely be back!

A lovely atmosphere, friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble and delicious food. Perfect! Would highly recommended. (Very popular so parking can be a bit tight)

It was Busy today, great food, presented beautifully, good service, requested a large table and space for a pram at short notice and they were able to accommodate us,

Mediocre food. Pricey, dressed up carvery tasting like it was warmed up rather than freshly cooked. Service had to be prompted a couple of times. Very noisy. Couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Had to shout with the rest! Pricey for what it was.

Excellent food as always. Good service. No rush at all. When my husband asked for a slight change in the formation of his dessert it was no trouble!

Friendly staff. Lovely Caesar salad - quickly bought another portion when they'd forgotten that I'd asked for no anchovies. Were sold out of salted caramel ice cream but chocolate ice cream with salted caramel sauce more than made up for it! Would recommend.

Another excellent Sunday afternoon trip and the quality is still excellent. Food is great and staff friendly and efficient.

Once again a great experience. Friendly staff and food was served very promptly. Good quality Sunday roast and very tasty pudding off the specials.

Had a wonderful Friday evening meal as a group of 4 adults in Nov. Amazingly popular place, and we just got the last carpark space at 7.30pm. Every table was taken / booked, and the bar was completely full as well. We all had 3 courses, and each one was excellent. We shared the Bird in Hand mezze between 3 of us which was excellent, very varied and more than enough for 3. It probably would have been fine for the 4 of us to share. I then went for the Vegetable burger which was good, but the spiced bean and vegetable crispy fried pattie was perhaps a little too thick and therefore a bit too dense and soft, but still very nice. And finally on to dessert - which I'm ashamed to admit we all thought was our favourite course ! 3 of us just went for icecream, and one had banana split. But each had the salted caramel ice cream, and each came with a seperate pot of hot choc fudge sauce which was incredible. Simple, but one of the best desserts for flavour we've ever had ! Would highly recommend, and we had a lovely evening.

Fantastic food! Super fresh and superb tasty! Would recommend for a nice meal out. It’s not the cheapest, but it is worth the food you receive. Service was great. Waiter very friendly and made us laugh a few times.

The restaurant area is very airy and light. The food was lovely and good quality a good mix of classics and something a tad more fancy! Personally i enjoyed the sausage wheel. Only comment of negativity was that Service felt a little slow.

Beautiful food including gluten free for my friend. Attentive but unobtrusive service. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks time. Thanks everyone at Bird in Hand.

Great-tasting, well-presented food. Friendly service. Was able to get a bigger table for the group, not rushed at any point through and after our meal which was kind for a Sunday. View out to garden and an espresso martini!!!
