First time. First class.Well up to expectations. Nice quiet atmosphere. Expected the vegetable lasagne to have a stronger cheese base but rightly pointed out that it was sauce covering. Certainly will be returning and will recommend Peter

Great food - highly recommend the spinach and ricotta ravioli. Great service, welcoming, attentive without being overbearing. Extensive range of cocktails. Great value - will definitely be back.

Tableware and general appearance good. staff welcoming Food and meal generally very average. Ok but wouldn't seek it out again. Frozen chips. Bland tomatoes. Not best ingredients or presentation.

Our first time at this restaurant. Went with the family. Kids ordered the small portion on the regular adults menu. The food was excellent, service was good and selection of drinks was very good. Would recommend this place

4 of us visited on Thursday. I had Aubergine and mozzarella starter followed by Sea food pasta washed down with the House dry white wine all of which was great. We think Black Pepper is definitely the best restaurant in Hatch End.

Black Pepper is always a good venue for a family evening. Service isn't overbearing and the food and wine is good. We all enjoyed it.

The food was poor quality for the price you pay. I had the Gnocchi with mushrooms and truffles. For starters there was barely any sauce on the dish to give any flavour and there certainly weren't any truffles. I wouldn't go back here for food again. The cocktails were good, but the food definitely was not.

black pepper is an excellent restaurant. The staff always make you feel very welcome. The food is is excellent . It is very good value . I recommend this restaurant for all occasions

Was very disappointed. Expected much more. The Minestrone was like water with some vegetables and the bruschetta was the worst I have ever come across.

The food was nice but the service was very slow. We waited an hour for our main course and again a long time for our bill.

Good food, enjoyed our meal, best thing about this Resturant is that it is open till late we booked for 10.30pm as needed to go after a show. Good service

The host is very friendly, the food excellent, and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. Plus the added thoughtfulness of giving a boxed orchid as a gift for Mother’s Day. A great experience overall.

We were 30 mins late and the woman who greeted us was so rude, she just kept going on about how late we were and that she needed the table by 7:30pm. She put me right off. It was my son's 6th birthday and it spoilt the lovely day we had.

Excellent service from friendly and jovial staff. The Lunch menu was reasonably priced and the portions were generous. We were all happy (3 of us) with what we ordered, Liver for one of us and the Seafood Linguine for the other 2 of us. I thought the Seafood Linguine sauce was a little dry, but that is my own personal taste, otherwise thoroughly enjoyable and tasty meal. Dessert was a Panna Cotta with Plum Compote - it was delicious. All in all a fantastic good value meal for 3. Thank you.

I went to Black Pepper with family for my husband birthday celebrations. I loved it the atmosphere was calm, the background music was eclectic but relaxing overall a great experience and evening.

Service was good and fairly quick, food was lovely and hot, restaurant is small but pleasant, and prices are reasonable. Would definitely go there again.

Although 2 out of 3 rack of lamb were tough but overall food and service were good. Portions a bit small for size of plates.

Our meal was delicious - the lobster spaghetti is to be recommended. The staff were pleasant and attentive and let us mix and match the menus. As it was Christmas there were crackers for us all which added to a jolly atmosphere. I haven't been to Black Pepper in a while but I shall be back again soon.

There were four of us girls, we'd all left babies home with partners / babysitters and ended up having a terrible time. Such a shame as other online reviews of this place are good. The main order took such a long time to come out, we had to ask how much longer it was going to take. I ordered the salmon for main and it was over cooked and very dry. On the Friday they had a live singer there and he was just terrible! Out of tune and so loud. We did ask for the volume to be turned down but this was not possible. I'm reluctant to return.

Staff pleasant and attentive to our party of 8, but all main courses were not served hot, but only just warm. Didn't complain, as didn't want to spoil party atmosphere.

Went early on a Monday and had the Evening Menu. Service was quick, food was really tasty and great value for money. Would definitely visit again.

Very pleasant and courteous staff. Food very tasty and served up quickly. It was also nice and hot. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their food too.

We had an excellent dinner. The steak medallions were much appreciated by my guest. My dish of calfs liver was delicately flavoured with a delicious light sage flavoured sauce.

Good food, good service and reasonably priced menu. What more is there to say I lunched with three others and we all enjoyed our experience.

9 of us had lunch here and the food was excellent with good portion size. The service was friendly and efficient. We had the 2 course lunch for £12.95 and there was plenty of choice.

The food tasted great, good portion size. The cocktails were nice as well although it did taste like it was a bit light on alcohol. Fantastic value for money and definitely will be visiting the place again.

Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Service there when you wanted it . Probably very quiet as it was a Sunday lunch time. Desserts especially nicely presented.
