Two of us had haddock & chips, which were excellent. One had lamb but the meal was not hot.

Lovely food it isn't cheap drinks especially but is worth it for a treat.

Quick dinner as had somewhere to be but it was delicious and service was top notch. Asian crispy beef salad was one of the nicest dishes I've eaten.

Lovely meal. Chicken Supreme and steak were excellent. A special environment with good atmosphere and lots to see. Unrushed, and very friendly.

We were early but our table was ready which was great as I had elderly parents with me the Food was delicious and the service fabulous definitely recommend this place !!! 😊

Excellent food and very good service. Sad that we had to wait so long for our food (but it was Saturday night and busy!) but the food was definitely worth waiting for. Sadly we weren't left enough time for dessert.

Lunch meeting with friends. Food was very good however the restaurant area was packed and we were right next to a very hot radiator. Maybe better to choose the less busy and more spacious bar area.

Our first visit - many more to come. Upon many recommendations we visited with gift vouchers as a treat. We were warmly welcomed as though we were regulars, shown to a perfect table. Waiting staff were so very hospitable and helpful throughout. Food was amazing, so fresh. Perfect ambiance, we were sadly too full for dessert but just wanted to stay to enjoy the atmosphere. We left feeling full and content and very excited to come back!

Everything was great - only very minor issue was the length of time to get our food, however, it was absolutely worth the wait! The lamb is amazing! We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere, great food, fab wine and friendly team - what more could you want.

Food was excellent. Only downside was that my wife sat next to 2 radiators which were boiling hot which made her too hot. Also the chairs were uncomfortable.

Been here a few times and really enjoyed it, not so much this time. Staff are really good and very attentive but the food was disappointing compared to previous visits. It's at the expensive end of Sunday lunches at nearly £20 for beef sirloin roast, which would be fine if it had quality to match. It didn't and the meat was a bit tough and chewy,l, made me wish we'd opted for the cheaper cut. The main issue was the amount of vegetables you get for a table of 5. One small dish for 5 people is woefully inadequate, even with the turnip being separate in a tiny ramekin. Would still come back on other days but there are much better quality and priced Sunday lunches out there

Excellent environment, great food, great service but a short wait for dessert. The team kept us informed the whole time though, so no worries The Blackbird is a gem with very well trained colleagues

Bit disappointed that we had been seated for a while before we were asked if we required any drinks. Our Sunday lunch was excellent.

First visit - loved the atmosphere, the service and the food was amazing. The chairs on our table were uncomfortable and mine was wobbly, also felt squashed into a corner, would prefer to be seated in the restaurant next time. Will definitely return, thank you :)

From the time of ordering our food, we waited 40 minutes for it to arrive. Meanwhile, a party arrived just before our food came and their food came 5 minutes later! Our toddler was falling asleep by the time his food came so he barely ate anything. We won’t return
