All our family enjoyed their meal at the blackbird the service was very good . Thank you
The food and staff were wonderful. Absolutely no negatives at all. Lovely Sunday lunch. Thank you!
3rd time I’ve been there and it’s been good each time, it is a little expensive but then everything was delicious so can’t complain. Service was excellent, very attentive. Would go back again and I’d definitely recommend it.
Excellent, great food, great wine and top service as per usual
Lovely atmosphere and food! But of a wait for food but worth it.
Really enjoyed the evening but disappointed that we were downstairs when we specifically booked upstairs
Fantastic meal - very special setting. Thank you, we loved it.
The food and service were excellent , with a loverly atmosphere
Good food with great prompt service! Only minus was noise from other diners!
Love the atmosphere and food. Never a bad meal. The gin and beer selections are great too. A unique building and a gem in Northumberland.
We arranged to meet family ( 7 of us) there , everything was totally perfect ! Staff food and cosy ness ! Lovely to admire the dogs too ! Cannot wait to return ! Oh and had the best apple and almond crumble , ever!!
Great visit, good food, good atmosphere the negative thing i would say was that the food could have done with being hotter, it was hot enough but only just
Our first time visiting The Blackbird Inn and we were hugely impressed by the look, feel and atmosphere of both the bar area and restaurant. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our table was ready ahead of time and drinks were served almost immediately. The food was incredible and worth every penny. All in all, an excellent experience and we will be sure to visit again. Thank you.
We had a really good dining experience. Nice service and the food was delicious. We shall be back.
Good value and choice of lunch dishes. Great service and very friendly.
beautiful decor, great food, reasonable prices, and super friendly staff. what more could you ask for? it's a must for lunch or dinner. also a great function room upstairs.
Food is fantastic, probably one of the best Sunday lunches around, the atmosphere in the pub is great, location is lovely and the staff are always so friendly. This is my second visit and will be back again.
Complaint was dismissed by rude member of staff who appeared to consider our concern as unworthy and therefore did not bother to relay this to the manager. Stay clear of the nut roast which was inedible. Disappointing as everything else was tasty and enjoyable. Wouldn't rush back though.
Friendly welcoming staff. Prompt service. We all enjoyed our main courses. However, the sticky toffee pudding was inedible (appeared to have been overheated in the microwave!). We were offered a replacement and when this was declined, the desserts were taken off the bill. The staff went over and above when they found we had left a phone on the table, using our contact number to inform us.
Delicious Sunday lunch again, served hot. Plenty of everything and served promptly. Don't know how they manage to serve as many people and keep the high standard.
Wonderful food. Very busy but staff coped well and had lovely meal. Would recommend Sunday roasts lots of fresh vegetables and meat well cooked and tasty
We are regular customers at The Blackbird Inn , we enjoyed a lovely meal as always, friendly staff, excellent value for money and food was served quickly.
Great night as always, friendly staff and great service. We both had steak and it was the best we both have ever had. I fully recommend a visit.
Overall very good, pleasant time in the bar, food good, but a little slow on service (large party elsewhere delayed things - could have kept us informed).
Lovely Sunday Lunch, choice of food was good, large portions service was excellent , very popular restaurant, all the tables were full, which is always a good sign, nice ambiance. If I had to make a criticism, I would prefer the meat cut thicker
Staff good ... very friendly, vegetables good, lamb a bit tough, restaurant pretty noisy. I had requested a gluten free menu but nothing offered although I managed by leaving a couple of things off. Probably would return but didn’t quite live up to reputation
The food and the service was excellent. We had a good chat with Raoul the Italian from Ravenna. I’m going back today as I left my scarf yesterday
Lovely venue with exceptional food. Service was slow but staff were apologetic and are great at what they do which made the experience even more pleasant. Would definitely recommend!
Really poor service from start to finish, appreciate there were big tables in restaurant, but waiting nearly 2 hours for 2 courses is quite poor. It was a shame as food was nice.
Very poor service it took a long time to get drinks the plates weren’t cleared! No one came to ask how the meal was! Waited to get bill then waited for bill to be picked up!
Excellent food and good service. We were made to feel welcome and not rushed at all. A very enjoyable lunch with a very high standard of tasty food.
We had a fabulous night. great choice of food, that tasted lovely, and was presented very well. The staff looked after us all night, and although we sat at our table until late, as we rarely get together, we were never made to feel that they wanted us to leave or move into the bar.
First time we visited the Black Bird and we were not disappointed, service was prompt and food was lovely. We also noticed that the bar area was doggie friendly.
Friendly efficient staff. Very tasty salmon starter but less appealing cauliflower and parsnip soup. Average ravioli. Excellent roast lamb dinner with mashed & roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots and broccoli, swede and roast parsnip, Yorkshire pud and extra gravey. Sat downstairs in the bar area where dogs welcome. Bowl of water provided. Definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
Good Sunday lunch The staff were delightful and couldn’t be more helpful Unfortunately the booking for the bar was confirmed but I missed seeing that the reminder of the booking had changed to the restaurant We had a dog so had to be in the bar The only table at 1pm had to be vacated by 2.30 That meant we had to forgo a starter as not time for three courses This was a Christmas celebration with my mother who is in a local old people’s care home so rather special We felt rushed especially when the people for 2.30 arrived early and stood over us until we left So really not the perfect occasion we had planned
Sunday lunch. Beef quite tough and service haphazard. Not up to their usual standard. This is probably the fourth time we've eaten Sunday lunch here, they need to tighten things up but I suppose any gaff can suffer a glitch.
Staff are great , so helpful. Couldn't do enough for us.First time for our friends and they were so impressed with the advice that was given over choosing Gluten free dishes Thank you very Much
To summarise . No service, no smiles, table stuffed next to front door, no menus given, horrible gritty spinach, had anyone asked - terrible !
Good food from lunch menu in a very pleasant pub I had the steak and ale pie and my husband the burger .Solicitous service and reasonable price .Would certainly go again
Excellent food and service, tempura king Prawns expertly cooked. Could maybe have a few more vegetarian options on menu. Will try their desserts next time.
