Had a delicious Sunday Lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection and the food was lovely and hot. Will be back!

Pork was a little tough and could have done with cooking longer and there was no crackling. Lamb was excellent.

Food, service, atmospheres and staff were all five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The space we were in was noisy and the acoustics wee such that you could clearly hear what was being said at other tables. The bar area is far better.

We went for lunch and took our dog. The lunch itself was fine but there wasn't enough room for us and our dog at the table we were allocated. Our dog is a lurcher so he couldn't fit under the table and we had a small table for two near the bar where people were passing by regularly. I felt our dog was a bit in the way which meant we couldn't really relax.

There were 4 of us that went for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately we were sat next to the window when the sun (shouldn’t complain) was shining brightly in through the window, blinding 2 of us. The last time we visited, we had exactly the same thing. So next time I book I’ll request away from the window, although it’s be good gig the management to figure out a way to have a blind or something! The Sunday lunch food is very tasty and we were all happy with our turkey, chicken and lamb dinners on the whole. However, my turkey had way too much fat on it and we found a wire from a cleaning brush in the vegetables!! The team did apologies and took £15 off the bill for this. But could have been avoided. We do like the Blackbird, but these couple of things could be put right.

Probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had starters were amazing too .. we had pink beef and wow it was so tender also the vegetables were first class we especially like the turnip … super huge tasty Yorkshire too .. keep it up Blackbird we will be back !

Had Sunday lunch today.with my husband and two daughters. 2 nut roasts, 1beef and 1 lamb. All very good and nice and hot. The restaurant was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. Would go again

Reserved meal for 2 online. Got email confirmation. Staff were very friendly, service was excellent, as was the food. Would thoroughly recommend. Meal was Tuesday early evening and restaurant was busy, with a good atmosphere. Nice surroundings with interesting history.

The Tunnel room is very echoey we couldn't hear ourselves talk at times due to the noise and exceptionally loud laughter coming from the bar area, this is the second time our meal has been spoilt by noise from other guests. Perhaps the addition of some soft furnishings in the Tunnel room might absorb some of the noise echo or perhaps a large curtain draped over the entrance into the Tunnel Room

That was the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long while. Plenty of delicious meat and veg cooked perfectly. There were 3 of us and the veg was enough for us all. A delicious sweet of chocolate mousse to finish off. 5*

Three friends for lunch on a rainy day!! But inside The Blackbird it was warm and bright, and with a gentle buzzy atmosphere. Food was delicious and service attentive. This is one of our regular favourites and, as usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Recommended!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Food amazing & staff were fantastic. Sorry I didn’t get their names but the gentleman with the I pad when u went in & the young girl with the pony tail who served us on table 1. Other staff were polite & friendly. Will defiantly be back.
