Exceptional dinner (as all our previous visits have been memorable food and great experience in the dining room).

Lovely pub restaurant with different seating areas including outside tables. Plenty of parking. Light bite lunch menu a good option for smaller appetites and even then they are very filling. Service is friendly yet professional.

This was the first time we have visited and it won’t be the last, lovely setting, great service everyone one was friendly helpful and smiling, food was great and my Dad only eats fish so it was fab to have a fish course on which he said was amazing! Over all fab experience can’t fault it Thank you so much.

Overcharged by £10.00 until I queried it. The beef was so tough

Pleasant welcome, food tasty but long wait and we had to chase it up. Several tables served before us for no obvious reason. Also, we'd asked when booking (very early) for quieter table but were in the doorway which everyone has to pass.

We had a lovely meal and experience when we visited the Blackbird. The food was reasonably priced and we all enjoyed our meals. We will be returning.

Not the cheapest BUT food is lovely-not just in taste but presentation. A warm welcome and very friendly staff. Will go again and recommend to others.

Great place to eat. Very busy for a Wednesday lunchtime but we didn't have to wait too long for our food, which was delicious! A bit cramped feeling in the restaurant, as there was a large party in there, but overall no complaints. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful pub really lovely attentive staff unfortunately the food was disappointing. Triple cooked chips looked as though they were the leftover dregs , small portions tasteless burger . Very disappointing meal overall and expensive . Would go again for a drink but not for food such a shame

There are plenty of signs telling you to leave the registration of your car at the bar computer. The food was ok however for me I felt there was a limited choice.One of our company had the ‘ Lamb Shank’ and he loved it.

Food was lovely..I had the burger and wife had fish finger sandwich. Only slight negative is the buns they use just fall apart. Buns need to be more robust. 🙂

Fantastic food and great service. Very lively on a Saturday night so glad we were in the restaurant where it’s a bit quieter. Really enjoyed the visit and will definitely go back if we’re in the area

Excellent food as usual. It was very busy in the dining room and bar today but the staff were all excellent and we felt very well looked after.

Great food and lovely surroundings- first time been upstairs but made for special evening. Waiting staff excellent friendly and professional too.

We booked to celebrate our 54th Wedding Anniversary (I had mentioned this in my booking) The food was very good but there was not much interaction with staff other than taking our orders and “is everything ok” it would have been nice if a member of staff had wished us a Happy Anniversary.
