That was the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long while. Plenty of delicious meat and veg cooked perfectly. There were 3 of us and the veg was enough for us all. A delicious sweet of chocolate mousse to finish off. 5*

Waitress lovely. Polite Beef was nice and pink Chocolate brownie was to die for could have done with more ice cream tho

Three friends for lunch on a rainy day!! But inside The Blackbird it was warm and bright, and with a gentle buzzy atmosphere. Food was delicious and service attentive. This is one of our regular favourites and, as usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Recommended!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Food amazing & staff were fantastic. Sorry I didn’t get their names but the gentleman with the I pad when u went in & the young girl with the pony tail who served us on table 1. Other staff were polite & friendly. Will defiantly be back.

Fantastic staff! They could not have been more helpful and made sure that my dairy intolerance was fully catered for. I’ll definitely be returning!

Waited for almost an hour for food, looked like my chips had been the last in the basket as there were a lot of darker hard bits, disappointed as we have been before and was amazing

Food and service amazing however our seating wasn’t brilliant a table for two near the busy entrance. I had requested a table for 4 in the restaurant on booking unfortunately 2 of our party had to cancel. I feel we were then moved to this unfavourable position so they could re assign the table that I’d requested.

Food was great, couldn’t fault the Sunday roasts. Service was slightly disappointing, the two young waitresses were a bit abrupt and seemed desperate to rush us out.

Not the best experience, having dined there on numerous occasions previously, was expecting better! The soup for starters was barely tepid and had little flavour, the Topside of beef, which we had ‘pink’ was impossible to cut, very chewy and totally tasteless, the only redeeming part of the meal was dessert, the apple crumble was delicious, as was the dark chocolate mousse! Might wait a while before we return!

Had lunch for my birthday. We were taken straight to our table. Restaurant was full, was a bit noisy which did not affect me personally but my husband wears hearing aids and found it difficult to hear the conversation. The food was amazing, the fish were excellent as always. I had the coronation chicken ciabatta, which I think is new to the menu was amazing. All washed down with a free bottle of birthday Prosecco which was lovely. All in all a great lunch at our local. Well done team Mark, excellent service as a,ways.

Poor table. This had the feel of an extra table stuffed in to accommodate two more. It was poorly placed and uncomfortable. I would rather they had called us and changed our time.

An excellent gastro pub experience. All our meals were delicious and the chef has a real eye for detail. Well cooked food with some nice thoughtful touches above the ordinary.

Long delay at being served from starter to main. Stone bass was slightly over cooked. It was good but not amazing. Also very busy in bar so very noisy in downstairs dining area as 4 of our party have hearing difficulties so hard to have a conversation. Slightly disappointed.
