Black Pig and Oyster

Lovely restaurant the atmosphere and decor was warming. The staff were very friendly. The service was very good. The food was first class and presented well. Oysters were so delicious.

Lovely food and good service in a nice setting. A former warehouse now a great quality restaurant serving Spanish-themed food. The Iberian black pig special was superb but the halibut with prawns was maybe even better! Fine dining style but without pretension. Excellent!

Service on arrival disappointing, we were seated quickly but waited 30 minutes to get a drink...... and that was because we asked for one! The food was beautiful, the garlic prawns delicious the lamb and black pig fabulous, cooked to perfection. The house wine we requested was out of stock, the recommended alternative was lovely however the last bottle. We ordered 2 glasses of a different wine to be advised this was the last of that wine too. We would definitely return for the Devine food and hope the service and wine stock improves.

Our meal was absolutely perfect, the lady owner explained the differences in the cuts of the black pig and what vegetable side dishes would go with each one, a gorgeous evening!

This is a hidden gem on the Shore. Beautiful food, well presented and friendly service. We had the tapas menu. I could have eaten the scallops over and over and the black pudding. Deserts are exquisite. It deserves every success.

Great food, great atmosphere in a seductive setting and great proprietor. Also very good cocktails. Would thoroughly recommend. Unique (to us) menu makes it well worth a visit.

Good food including first class dessert (Eton mess the best dessert ever eaten which given the top notch eateries we've visited says something); attentive service; not cheap (£100 for two incl. wine) but didn't begrudge expense. Really enjoyable in all respects.

Our experience lived up to expectations. The food was outstanding as was the wine. The staff were also extremely helpful, friendly and provided excellent service. We cannot fault the experience and so we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a great night

Lovely ambience, great food with excellent service. it was the first time that I ever had black pig and I chose the smoked dish which was superb accompanied with proper hand-cut chips. Will definitely return to this family run restaurant.

This was my first visit and I was not disappointed. Loved the whole look and feel of the restaurant. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The food was really delicious with portions that were just right. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

The best main course I’ve had in a very long time! Absolutely fabulous.... Every one MUST go and taste the food - even if you think you’re not a fan of pork, you have to try the Black Pig as it tastes like nothing you’ve had before - de-lic-ious!!!

Delicious food, particularly the black pig, and lovely service. The restaurant itself is beautiful, it has an interesting vaulted ceiling and has been decorated very nicely. The food isn’t cheap, but definitely worth it.

Great food, great location and great service. The Goats Cheese Panna Cotta was a dream. The waiter was very politely and helpful. Really felt welcome. We will definitely come back!

Great food, great service. Only tiny critism is that they should solve their ventilation problem. They have an open kitchen and it feels like eating inside a grill. I had to wash all of my clothes when I get back home. Having said that I would definitely go back again.

Attractive dining environment and superb food. Extraordinary Iberian Pork and perfectly cooked delicate fish- perfect. This is a firm favourite for meeting friends or family.

Great service and great meal, highly recommend. Staff were attentive without being too obtrusive always ensuring we were ok for drinks. Appetisers (we took both specials) and mains were excellent.

Went to Thursdays special Tapas night. Good value plus bottle of wine included. Shame about the paper napkins linen napkins would have elevated our score!

An excellent meal! Our starter platter was delicious, especially the pate and cheese fritters. Our pork was succulent and perfectly cooked with the perfect accompaniments. We also sampled the special cocktails which were beautiful! Incredible service and lovely ambience, well worth a visit. We’ll be back, especially to try the tapas night on Thursdays!

Our first visit and it certainly won't be the last. Great food and service. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the visit on a busy Saturday night. At last a place where food and service come first without the typical pretentiousness of some much poorer establishments. Oysters in so many natural or cooked forms.....all excellent. Some simple and some complex dishes......all using good ingredients and well cooked/presented. One of the best meals we've had in ages. Thanks to all the staff.

Just Fantastic ! Amazing food and venue and Michelle was first class. Everything was perfect. Found this restaurant by accident but so glad we did.

Delicious food, fresh ingredients beautifully prepared. We brought our children here and tried the Iberian pork fillet and a variety of other dishes. I could not fault the meal nor the service. Would definitely recommend.

Great restaurant at Leith's Commercial Quay. We both occasions we a party member have enjoyed 2 lovely evenings courtesy of Michelle and her team. On both occasions, we had the Tapas menu, which was second to none. Likewise on both occasions one of our party wasn't too sure about Tapas but the selection was so varied that there was no problem. The food provided by the chef was fabulous - and of course the black pig and oyster was to die for!

Excellent food and service and very reasonably priced. Definitely my new "go to" place. Outside seating area also a bonus. I would highly recommend it.

This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful space serving really interesting food. The three of us had a selection of starters - all of which were great. The cheese selection was mediocre - but the puddings were fab! The staff are helpful and pleasant - bit of a mystery why it was so empty. For us it was a really pleasant evening.

Service and food exceptional for dessert huge gulf between the price and the size of the portion unfortunately my husband has a very sweet tooth and portion could have done with being bigger.

Tasty food but was let down by slow service. Either under staffed or staff not attending. Waited 20mins for dessert order after delivering the dessert menu. Decided not to bother and waited just as long for the bill.

Lovely meal - very tasty, fantastic quality of food and good service. We will definitely come back and recommend to others. Nice that they include green vegetable and salad side dishes on the menu.

Very nice food with excellent service. We dined at the restaurant on Saturday evening for the first time and were impressed by the surroundings and relaxed atmosphere.
