Oh my goodness, so much food. And very tasty. Very quick service too. We went for a birthday celebration, had the Monday night roast, just two of us and it was great. Lovely list of drinks for the non beer drinkers too. Definitely coming back to try cheese fondue but going to need about 2 weeks to recover from the massive portions!

This is a lovely, friendly place. We had the vegan Sunday roast with vegan gravy. Veggie balls with, roast potatoes, roast veg, mushrooms & waffles Yorkshire puddings. My husband isn’t a vegetarian but he said that it was the tastiest meal he’d had in a long time. This is our 2nd visit & hoping to go again soon for the vegan meal with cheese fondue.

Came here on recommendation of a relative and glad I did. Lovely warm cosy atmosphere. Good selection of Belgian beers. There were four of us and we all enjoyed the food which was reasonably priced. Will come back again.

Wonderful atmosphere. Sunday roast was fun. Expected the meats (beef and chicken) to be much softer and juicer but good taste. Vegetables and potatoes were awesome. .

The rating I'm giving for service doesn't reflect the lovely lady who served us, the guy on the other hand was a bit of a dick if I'm honest. He just kinda slumped around and didn't make an effort to even smile at us, kinda made me feel uncomfortable and killed the mood a little. Before I paid the bill I noticed lipstick marks on the glass I was drinking out of (with a straw and I wasn't wearing lipstick) so I thought I'd mention it to the guy (on my bill it said his name was Danny). I thought I'd just point it out as I work in a restaurant also and if I'm honest I'd personally prefer someone to mention it so people can try to prevent it in the future. My comment was met with an eye roll, a giggle and a really done with life sounding sorry Lady was lovely, Danny - you're a dick

Always a great experience, that being said... I’m not sure about the new chef’s recipe for Bitterballen. I preferred the previous recipe.

A PRETTY DRAB AFFAIR I went for the cheese fondue, more of a cheese fondon’t. The cheese was thick and bitty like it’d already been over cooked or re-heated several times. The meat wasn’t great either, the expectation is that you come to expect more from a £25 dinner. I can’t speak for the rest of the menu but the cheese fondue is definitely one to avoid on a weekday.

Was a little disappointed that the warming candle originally presented with the cheese fondue went out with seconds and the cheese got cold and congealed. Had to wait for new candle to reheat the cheese. Otherwise everything was good.

Great ambience and interior, welcoming staff and great Sunday lunch and very different. 3 of us, Ordered fondue for 2 and extra veg and potatoes, food quantities perfect but would have been good to have an extra gravy option on the menu too

Excellent evening. Great attention and interested staff. Lovely presentation and superb food and drink. Brought back fond memories of when we used to have fondues nearly every meal back in the mid-1980’s. Thank you.

we’ve been meaning to eat here for months, finally made the trip across the Pennines and it was so worth it. The quality of the food is outstanding, the meat just melted. The only criticism I have is that the churros are advertised as coming with chocolate sauce when they actually came with syrup. Otherwise, faultless

As mentioned to waiter it was nice but not as good as last time I dined here 12 months ago. Cheese fondue was grainy and chalky almost as if cheese had curdled? Also the sides previously were chorizo and carrot and cucumber, this time it was broccoli apple and brockwurst, and it was no where near as good. Bock my advice is to go back to how you did it before it was so much better!!! I won’t come back unless you do!

Beautiful food - couldn’t fault a thing! We shared a beef brisket fondue between myself and my fiancé and our 9 year old son and got some waffles and pototoes as extras - really filling and more than enough. Nice atmosphere and a lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
