This Restaurant is a welcome addition to Sutton's eateries. Excellent food and lovely staff. The selection of specials is always worth trying and the staff always make you feel welcome.
After an uncertain morning at The Royal Marsden, lunch was wonderful for all three of us. The restaurant was understanding and flexible with the times
Revisited this restaurant having first visited a few months ago when we were disappointed. Great service tonight & lovely food - we had the French onion soup to start followed by the rump steak. Perfectly cooked steak, delicious sauce & tasty vegetables. A great dinner, thank you!
Great food and the waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only downside was that the food took quite a long time to arrive, however it was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy, and we were not in a hurry in any case. We will definitely go again.
A very pleasant lunch with friends. Lovely food, lovely ambience, good service and an extensive French themed menu. I can particularly recommend the Onion Soup.
We've eaten at Brasserie Vacherin before and always had a good experience - last night was not one of them. The restaurant was extremely busy but service was generally poor, although our waiter did try her best. It took a long time for our Aperol spritzers to arrive, even longer to take out order and 45 minutes after that for our starters. We were told they had a new barman who didn't know his drinks, which seems bad planning on a busy night.(which were fine) In all, we were served our mains 2 over 2 hours after arriving in the restaurant, by which time we had rather lost our appetites. My salmon was off the menu, so I changed my order to steak - the mushrooms I ordered didn't arrive - neither did my friend's mash. Her pork belly was cold - they did take it away, but when brought back the crackling was burnt. I also noticed that the food quality, although not bad, was not up to the usual standards. The steaks were quite gristly and the lobster linguine was not quite right - I think possibly the sauce was overcooked. They did remove the service charge from the bill, to be fair, but this restaurant is not cheap and I feel they could have looked after us a bit more. Not sure whether I will return
Great staff and excellent food, the service was quick and the food came out on time. We really enjoyed out time at the restaurant and will go back again
The food is absolutely delicious and the surroundings are lovely. I have eaten here on a umber of occasions and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed.
Great staff and excellent food, the service was quick and the food came out on time. We really enjoyed out time at the restaurant and will go back again
The food was excellent but expensive. I would return when the fixe prix menu is available. The service was over attentive - we were constantly being asked if everything was ok - one person was enough not 3 or 4 within seconds of each other. The first waitress did not speak particularly good English and she was unable to clearly tell us what the specials were so we didn't bother with them. I have scored high because the quality of the food was amazing and the environment very pleasing but it was an expensive Friday night out with friends!
Authentic French experience - food delicious, service somewhat slow but friendly and professional. Good matching wine recommendation for my duck a l'orange - not even a French wine!
Great staff and excellent food, the service was quick and the food came out on time. We really enjoyed out time at the restaurant and will go back again
Service was fantastic. Very attentive. Didn't have to wait to order or inbetween courses. Have a great loyalty programme too. Will definitely go back in the near future.
Delicious food. Service was fine until they got busy - then it was very slow. The table next to us arrived after us and were waiting over an hour just to order their food. The restaurant has had this problem for a long time - it's a shame because the food is amazing.
Great atmosphere excellent food and wine great service from all the staff. Not the first time we have been an certainly not the last .
Great staff and excellent food, the service was quick and the food came out on time. We really enjoyed out time at the restaurant and will go back again
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the excellent service. There are various menu options throughout the week so a leisurely meal a quick bite or just a drink are all catered for. We will definitely be going back!
Excellent and interesting food but we had to ask for the wine we had ordered and there was a delay between the arrival of my main course and the spinach side dish (a similar wait was experienced by the couple at the next table). The waiter did remove the 12% service charge from the bill, to be fair (though we did leave a tip).
Sunday lunch ordered, tasty roast beef, roast potatoes like mum makes, Yorkshire pudding was delicious, vegetables. Gravy slightly watery only negative. Will be back for more
Amazing service and really enjoyable food. Amazing value on the fixed price menu, we had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again
We enjoyed lunch at Brasserie Vacherin. Two choose the fixed price menu. The food was good and the service was very good. Good value too.
The food was fabulous. Tasty, well-presented, good portions. Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service. We were talked into desserts despite the fact that we were already quite full, and were very happy about that as they were delicious, too.
Good food and service. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend. The organic Argentine wine had a deep, rich taste and I especially enjoyed the grilled mushrooms.
Can't fault Brasserie Vacherin Sutton, each time we visited. Would recommend either lunch or dinner. Food cooked to a good standard and good service too.
Great food and service. Would not believe you were still in Sutton! Could have received a congratulations from the staff as we did inform them on the booking that we were celebrating our 10 years wedding anniversary! otherwise perfect evening!
Food was average Service poor. Wouldn't be rushing back any time soon. Not much else to say really so just filling the quota of words !
Excellent restaurant with very attentive staff. We had the Fixed Prix 3 coarse menu on a Travelzoo offer. I enjoyed a starter of mussels - nice & plump in a white wine sauce. Main coarse of tempura cod - cod in a crispy batter with french fries followed by the star of the evening bread & butter pudding brioche.
As always excellent food, however the service was not as good as it has been, having to ask for drinks, sauces, dessert etc I don't think they warranted their optional 12.5% on this occasion, but it's Xmas and we paid it!
We all had a very enjoyable Christmas Day lunch the staff were amazing and so was the food we will certainly visit again even thinking about booking Christmas lunch 2016
Great bar area where you can sit and sip a cocktail before you go to your table. Food excellent and staff attentive to your every need. Good place to go as a group. My onle critisim was that couples are put around the edge of the room and so tables are perhaps too close together, you cannot help but hear the conversation next to you.
Nice venue, food nice but with drinks 70pp a little over the top for what we had, could have spent that at a more exclusive place in London
We decided to tale my parents for their wedding anniversary. Excellent food and hospitality as usual. Would recommend going. The dessert menu could do with some more choices, but on the whole a great night out.
Good food, adequate service but the kitchen was obviously failing to cope despite the restaurant being far from full. It probably reflects my resulting mood that the noisy drunks in the small bar did not impress me either!
Good service but the restaurant is quite noisy. The bread and butter pudding was a bit too rich. Roast Duck excellent. Linguine starter an experiment- a bit sickly and will stick to Calamari next time.
Delicious Sunday lunches with friendly and attentive service. Food is very reasonably priced for its quality, delicious and with an authentically French style of cooking and ingredients. Our second visit and we will dine there again.
Don't bother. Food mediocre, poor service. It wasn't with a smile either. Felt the staff couldn't be bothered. I won't be going again. Thought it would be nice for a change. It wasn't
We have used the Vacherin for many years now and feel that the service is not as good as it used to be, but in saying that the food is still good.
The food was fabulous and the staff were attentive. The Restaurant was spacious and classy too. I also liked the decor and colour coordination. It is easily reached by public transport and there is plenty of parking around the area
Good food but service terrible the female waitress was not polite and should be in a different job we had to keep asking time and time again for a drink will not be rushing back
Good value for money on a Thursday evening, with offers on drinks and no corkage on your own wine. Atmosphere was buzzy and service was excellent. Oysters and tuna tartare starters were superb. Main dish of lamb perhaps slightly overcooked, but did not spoil an excellent evending.
