This is a little gem in the village of norton on tees, the food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and attentive, the place has a great atmosphere, definitely worth a visit

Brilliant night. First time doing Gin Monday’s but it definitely won’t be the last! Friendly staff which made us feel very welcomed and because of this we made a night of it! 😊

Always fantastic but ordered the pink beef but got the brisket but wasn’t bothered about mentioning it just ate it 💪👌the place is always awesome

Food was lush but disappointed they've changed the sweet potato chips from lovely thick crispy wedges to bland freezer-bag fries (definitely not fresh and not worth £3.50!). Also I've been in here 3-4 times now and each and every time they have forgot something with the order, it's weird (had to remind them this time of two portions of fries we had ordered). Our waitress was lovely though, and the ribs and mac&cheese I had was lovely. Cocktails also very nice and well made.

We came here last night for a meal and drinks and had such a lovely time; I unfortunately can’t drink due to a health issue and our waitress was amazing making me different mocktails she really looked after us! I didn’t catch her name but she was little, dark haired with glasses; she was so lovely and deserves recognition for her caring nature! The food was also lovely and we had a really nice time! Thanks so much!

Good service, really nice Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff, was made to feel very welcome. Not long to wait for food to arrive, table cleared efficiently.

The food was very very very very very very good and the cocktails and other drinks were equally very very very very very very good.

Really welcoming and cosy feeling. Staff all very friendly and attentive (but not annoyingly often). The music was conducive to eating and thankfully on this visit we missed the football on TV. Absolutely outstanding food and very generous portions..far too much for me but hubby was overjoyed and cleared his dish before going home for a 3 hour nap 😂 superb experience and easy booking via Quandoo. The theme was amazing!! So many things to look at. The food was amazing and they had a gluten free menu! Lots of choice for someone who is gluten free! Would love to come back to this restaurant!

Fantastic food and service! Highly recommend the Sunday lunch we had a sharing platter with beef brisket and chicken, portions where huge and well worth the money.

Always use to love it in here... disappointed with the service this time :( hopefully just a one off! Salad on my plate was gross.

Really tasty food and at decent prices. Be mindful of when you go for dinner though. If you’re after a quiet meal, this probably isn’t the best place on a Friday/Saturday night. However if you enjoy the music and don’t mind other people drinking and being social the. It’s totally the place for you!

Food was delicious and the service was great. The staff were so pleasant that we left them the spare pieces of birthday cake we brought with us!

First visit to canteen and cocktails and was lovely when food arrived presented very well and was lovely will be returning really enjoyed it but not sure if that was because I hadn’t actually cooked it for once lol

Never had a bad meal in Canteen and Cocktails. Food is lovely. Cocktails are amazing. We were asked to sit upstairs to eat but there was only one table being used so there was no atmosphere. We asked for the one remaining downstairs table which I think they were wanting for cocktail drinkers rather than diners but they were happy to accommodate us.

staff great as always however not all food on menu was available as they are due to change the menu and the only dessert that we all wanted wasn't available as it hadn't set. food we had was nice. temperature in bar could of done with increasing as it was a freezing night

First time eating here for Sunday lunch, very poor service. We waited over 15 minutes for our order of food or drinks to be taken despite having the menus closed and to one side all while the restaurant was quite empty and staff walked past us. Once food arrived, it tasted great although they where a little tight on the servings, half a cup of gravy between two people isn’t enough and the amount of food was short compared to the photos advertising it on the menus etc. No member of staff came over to ask how our food was or if we needed anything during our meal, only when we hadn’t finished and they came to clear up. We didn’t bother staying for desert and once we had the bill waited over 10 minutes for a member of staff to come over and process the payment. In the end we got up and went to the bar on the way out.

Beautiful meal as always. Little slow on drink service but overall it was great as always. Beef brisket was beautiful lots of veg to go with yummy

Took a while to get served Took a while to get food Took a while to have the bill paid for.. ended up going to the till. Pudding's were hard Cracking came with the meal but was missing to ask for some.. 2 scabby bits brought back to me. Usually love the place. But Sunday I was let down.

Came with my daughter after work for a light meal. The food was lovely, chicken popcorn, shrimp pop, veg chilli, sweet potato wedges and spicy rice. 2 soft drinks all for £22.40. Lots to eat and could only manage half as generous portions. The staff were lovely and friendly. We will be back x

Food was lovely. Service however was a different matter once dinner plates cleared it was like we didnt exist. Never asked if we wanted to see desserts menu or clearly when we had empty glasses never asked if we would like more drinks. Came few weeks ago must off had better staff on that day as we did not have this problem. Reccomended for food but honestly service was very poor!it wasnt that busy either. Do not think we will bk after that experience.

Always Friendly staff. Always Good food. Good selection of drinks. Good atmosphere. Would recommend to friends. Could do with space for walk ins on a Sunday as do get turned away if you haven't booked. But that's due to it being so popular.

Food was excellent and portions were very generous. Staff were attentive and coutious. Where we were initially sat was a bit noisy so asked if we could move which was no problems. Would definitely recommend this place.

Good starters! Although I told waitress we wanted to order a main meal when we arrived. When we had finished our starters and ready to order main meal, we were told that kitchen closed at 9pm. We then subsequently had to go the the highland laddie for food.

We went as a family and chose the Sunday dinner the food was the finest I’ve had for a long time especially eating . Far better than the more expensive local restaurants

Food was amazing, place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend the brunch menu, everything was perfectly cooked and both of us said we would return again.
