Food and service was amazing, just quite cold in the restaurant and the heaters weren’t on but that doesn’t change the fact that it was probably the best curry I have ever had!

Rare to find an Indian restaurant with so much charm. Situated under the walls of Lincoln castle and across the road from the Lawns, this restaurant is run by the happiest and friendly people you could possibly meet. From the cheerful welcome to the laugh filled goodbye, the Castle view makes you feel special. The Food! You could eat a different dish every day for a month and never be disappointed. Well spiced and piping hot. I suppose the test of quality is that it is packed full of customers at 7pm. The only negative is that the restaurant is on the first floor and makes it impossible for many disabled people.

Very friendly staff, good service and beautiful food. We went on New Years Eve and though it was busy we weren’t rushed and and took are time to order. Would definitely go back.

As always, excellent cuisine - really delicious and generous portions. (Took leftovers home!) Staff friendly and very welcoming. Did have a chipped plate which waiter changed for me and also initially found the restaurant a bit chilly (perhaps where I was sitting at the top of the stairs) but nothing will deter us from coming back again!! Will also recommend it to our friends.

Best Indian in Lincoln. The staff are very good and the food is to die for, will be coming back. Down stairs is a take away and bar with seating up stairs.

Best Indian restaurant in Lincoln by a country mile. Food is fresh and very tasty. Excellent service prices are also very reasonable. Will be back again in the new year

Good food and excellent service. The management gave time to talk to us after the meal, and seemed keen to receive genuine and honest feedback on our experience. A most enjoyable evening.

Table booked for 5pm for 4 people 2 of us arrived at 4.50pm and we were asked twice before 5pm if the other people were coming. Within 10 minutes of being shown to the table we had been asked twice if we were ready to order, I had to say that we will call them over to stop being pestered. Wife loved her veggie meal but the rest of us thought it was just OK, same as any takeaway standard really. When we finished our meal we wanted to see the dessert menu only to be told that they had "sold out of desserts" on a Saturday night. So we asked for coffees only to be told that they do not do coffee as they have to carry them upstairs (even though they have a dumb waiter) the lady behind the counter said they can't send drinks up in the lift as it's used for dirty pots (strange that because that is how the food comes up from the kitchem). We were all convinced that they didn't want us taking up the table because they wanted to turn it round for another party (probably booked for 7pm). The whole thing was rushed for very mediocre food would definatly not return.

Great food and service on both occasions we have visited.They ask how long you want between courses and everything comes fresh and warm. Large portions but still found room for it all

Great food, lovely surroundings and ambience, excellent staff. We went on a Monday night expecting it to be almost empty - but it was busy even on a Monday. That alone speaks volumes about its quality. We had a wonderful time. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food, very friendly staff. I went with the tandoori chicken and it was perfect. My partner, who got the chicken tikka masala, said it was the best curry he'd ever had!

Our curry club visited with a party of 8 and all agreed: we were served excellent food and probably the best out of all the Indian restaurants we have visited during the last 3 years. All seats were taken in the restaurant and it was a Tuesday evening!!

Very nice food, good service and a good atmosphere would definitely recommend. My Lamb Archari was very hot! Around a vindaloo strength which for me was perfect.

A brilliant experience. Really tasty food with excellent depth of flavour, not just heat and colour. Superb ambiance, great building/location and pleasantly warm on a cold evening; too many restaurants skimp on heating. Wonderful, genuine people, who have time for folk and care about what they do. To be fair to Castle View I can only suggest give it a try, but in the back of my mind I really want to keep it one of those great little gems that not too many folk know about. Steve

1st visit to the restaurant and the staff were friendly but the food was too spicy and felt a little cramped. Good wine list to choose from.

We really enjoy this Indian restaurant, some unusual dishes, everything on the menu can be varied to suit your taste, extremely friendly staff and very reasonable. The fact that it is so close to the castle and the great atmosphere inside just adds to the occasion. A great place for a meal.

Lovely lovely food. Will def be going back. Excellent fast service and ordered a Malibu and coke and they put extra effort in to make it look like a cocktail. It's the little extras that make it special

Food was very nice but there was an agreesive drunk man sat on the table next to us who was facing us as well. He was swearing and got out of his chair to hit a waiter. Which scared my wife. On discussion with staff when paying we found out he is a regular there. All the waiter staff pandered around him all night to keep him calm but he ruined our meal. He should have been asked to leave.
