I had the crispy chilli beef and I really recommend it.

Can’t fault the staff , Food very nice but not to impressed with the new menu a lot of favourite dishes not available or changed

I have left a Google message which is positive. This was a pleasant experience it could have been awesome very easily as food preparation and quality was really good. Personally the reality falls short of expectations and the sharing platter we had whilst delicious was rather uninventive and including brown bread and butter for the pate was disappointing. Speciality breads or thinly toasted recipes would have lived up to the fantastic decor of this special little gastro pub. A table by the door which opens every 5 minutes? Not great planning. This is a great place which I would return to again if the organisation can meet these observations Cheers Julian cragg

Foods are always good and service courteous. The restaurant is always busy so reservation is recommended!

Family friendly restaurant. Quality of food consistent but could do with more variety.

The food was absolutely fine but the service was incredibly slow in spite of it being quiet. Nothing special about it at all and not great value for money.

We were seated near the siren smoke alarm which deafened us for 6 minutes. Not our fault said Chime it was our customer in our toilet vaping. Thanks for spoiling the ambiance.

Enjoyed a mid week evening meal here. Excellent food served in an informal quirky dining room. Staff very attentive and helpful with recommendations. Book ahead to be sure of getting a table, worth a visit.

Lovely experience as always, never disappointed. I brought 3 friends, who hadn't visited before, to try our local restaurant and they absolutely loved it! Fab food, fab service and fab atmosphere (Friday eve - there was a DJ on, volume was ideal as I had visited the week before and it had been a little too loud whilst eating!)

The food is always excellent, however, service is still very slow and the staff are not very attentive compared to other restaurants. Things like spotting when your glass is almost empty or if you’re food is ready to be cleared or waiting for the bill. Excellent food, just needs a nudge in the right direction for speed of service.

Friendly place with great choice of drinks. Food is tasty and priced at a good level, can get busy so it's best to book if you want a table.

Prices have gone up menu has changed again and service a bit slow. Had to send food back as it was cold but overall a good time.

Long time waiting for main course (an hour after starters!). Food quite nice but expensive. Atmosphere nice. Waiting staff OK. I’m sure we will go back.

Slow service. Sent one dessert back and waited ages for it to be replaced! Main meals were nice ... the desserts lacked presentation, just looked plunked on the plate!

Enjoyable evening. Menu looks to have changed recently and some great options on there. Good wine list and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Book early as it does get busy at peak times.

I love visiting Chime but every time we are slightly disappointed with the speed of service and the staff don’t visit the tables often enough to replenish drinks.

We frequent chime regularly and we were somewhat disappointed this time with the experience. We only ordered a flat bread and some Salt-N-Pepa fries however the waiting time was 40 minutes and we asked on three occasions for a jug of water and also asked for sources on two occasions which actually came after we had finished the meal. We could’ve understood this if the restaurant had been busy however there were only three tables actually seated upstairs. The waitress was however very pleasant and apologetic.

We went for Sunday Lunch. The restaurant was busy but not quite full. We had a table on the upper floor, which was quite nice. We both chose the beef dinner and it was excellent. Decent portion of nicely cooked beef over vegetables and mash, together with roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. A good choice of drinks were available, including some unique cocktails. Service was very pleasant and the waitress was very welcoming and friendly.

You can always rely on Chime for a great meal, good quality food at a great price! I visit with my dad (he lives in France and he always requests here) once a year and we’re never disappointed. The service was a probably a little slow in comparison to previous times, but we were in no rush and the the food was worth the wait (yum!). The only negative (depending on your evening) about our experience was that that it was very loud due to a DJ being on... I totally understand perfect for a Friday evening if you’re out for drinks and a lively one, but it was very loud in the upstairs restaurant area and we struggled to chat and hear one another! In my opinion it was great post dinner in the bar area, and a great plus to the restaurant but not great if you’re wanting to chat and catch up over dinner!

Had to wait for my side order of fries so long that my main was almost finished. Plus fries were only cool. But it was very busy and the food was good. The waitress worked hard was lovely and friendly. I didn’t complain as this was our first meal out as a married couple.

The service was generally a little slow, and the wrong starter came out, which then took a while to prepare as it was fish. Other than that, it’s the first time we have had Sunday Lunch there and it was delicious.

Service slow. Took a long time to come and take initial order for drinks. Ordered a second drink whilst eating, never came. Paid bill with cash, change never came, had to go and ask at the bar for it (this has also happened to a friend of mine). Food was fine.

Afternoon tea was nowhere near up to scratch. The dirty fries were soggy and covered with salty gravy and the ribs were undercooked and lacked sauce so they were dry. Very disappointing however staff were very apologetic and refunded half the bill. This was very unusual as we have eaten there many times and it’s been great.

Me and my daughter went for lunch food was lovely. They even had gluten free bread as I have ceoliac disease very pleasant experience will definitely be going back

The food was lovely service was good the only issue I have is that there was quite a few deserts missing from the menu and quite a few drinks that could not be made, the drinks Menu had writing over it and drinks crossed out it just looked very messy

Nice evening meal, drinks were very nice a real ale & good g&t. Large starter which we had to leave some so we had room for our mains. Compliments from my family 😁

The food was absolutely brilliant we could not fault it. The service, although our server was incredibly polite it was quite slow. It didn't seem too busy but they had a couple of large tables full which is the only reason I could see slowing things down. We have been a few times and will certainly still be returning. Lovely atmosphere, staff and food.

Service again was excellent as always, food was delicious has the grazer starter and then the sea bass. Definitely worth checking out the cocktails 🍸

Great service and delicious food as usual. Celebrating our wedding anniversary on a Sunday at 4pm. Couldn’t fault it. I had the chicken main course and hubby had a hot Sausage pizza both excellent.

Have always enjoyed Chime but was disappointed last night. As a vegetarian I am used to having a reduced choice but to find there was no Falafel starter left me with one choice - dough balls (which aren’t balls!) Was told they had none of the cheaper Prosecco and would need to order the more expensive bottle (£7 dearer), we asked if they could check again for us and they found a case. Felt like they were just trying to get us to order the more expensive option. Service was very slow. The food (when it arrived) was tasty but we were unfortunately disappointed with the experience as a whole. Please can you expand the vegetarian options

The ‘king’ prawn starter was an absolute rip off...4 tiny prawns on a plate with some decoration between them. When the waitress came to clear and asked if everything was ok we said that we thought the dish was a bit of a joke. She agreed and said they’d been really busy and it wouldn’t normally look like that. We asked her to pass comments on to the manager. At the end of the meal when we received the full amount on the bill I asked her had she checked with the manager about the starter and she said yes, but because I’d eaten it there was nothing they could do, I had to pay in full. The restaurant was extremely short staffed, we waited half an hour to be seated at our table and were told several times they were short staffed. Not that easy to complain when there’s no one around to complain to. No one came to check our food was ok. I don’t blame the waitress, she was rushed off her feet, the lack of staff and the lack of care comes from the management.

Great night, gorgeous food and cocktails. They were incredibly busy but the girl looking after us was brilliant she never stopped smiling. Despite it being so busy it didn’t take long to get our meals and drinks. Chime if you are reading this Kerry is absolutely fantastic what a great asset to your team.

From the minute we walked in the door we were looked after by kerry, what a lovely person made my friends surprise birthday meal extra special she went the extra mile in all aspects of customer service, even down to putting a candle in the desert and coming out singing happy birthday which we didn’t expect at all, the food was excellent as we were unsure in what we were ordering spice wise the choice was explained to us in detail and we were not disappointed n the choice we had made the mock tails were to die for the chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake was divine topped with the most excellent customer service experience by kerry I would most definitely recommend Chime to anyone go have a lovely meal surround by great staff it’s a must!!!!

This place has unfortunately let us down too many times now. Not one for writing bad reviews but every time we go the table isn't ready for us and we're left waiting to sit down for some times up to an hour. And then when we sit down we don't get menus for another 15 minutes! The food is going down hill as well. Its slowly deteriorated in the 2 years we've been going. On our last visit we just ordered burger and you should have seen the chips; they were very undercooked and dripping in oil and soggy. When we complained they simply overcooked them; still soggy and oily. Really not good enough! It used to be great and they need to up their game else people will just stop going!!

Lovely place, friendly staff, gorgeous food... only slight downside is the service is a bit slow. We had a great time though. Thanks all at chime :)

First time here, great food would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Really quirky and bigger than you think from the outside. Would come again 😁
