Couldn’t fault the food but the service was very slow.

This was a joint birthday celebration for my friend & I. Our table was waiting for us - a lovely light table in the window. We were brought prawn crackers & drinks very quickly while we chose from menu. Beef in mandarin sauce was amazing - as was the lemon chicken The noodles were a delicious change from rice. Sadly no room for dessert so rounded up with coffee! A brilliant evening

Food was excellent but the service was not good and we had 2 children with us who were very hungry and it was almost 8.30pm before we got our main

Have visited this restaurant many times before, beautiful decor etc and fabulous food however just felt on this occasion the staff could’ve shown more enthusiasm. We booked for lunch at 1pm not realising the restaurant closed at 2pm so we did feel a bit rushed. Wouldn’t put me off returning though. Best chicken curry Ive had for ages. Thank you.

Nice experience excellent food big choice and a good service

We had booked for 1pm and as were right on time waiter knew we had and took us straight to table..brought menus and took drink order 1st...then excellent food..great value and my husband had to finish mine as portions were generous..great service..by waitress and waiter..friendly and unassuming. .well done all..

Lovely food , staff were not rude at all but could be friendlier and a bit more engaging. Will return !

Great food, great staff who provide a very efficient and friendly service, lovely setting and atmosphere.

Was really good value had 2 courses due £9.50 each and 2 halves of cobra at £2.50 each so a nice cheap bargain Saturday lunch. Would recommend and will use again.

The restaurant plays good music at a good volume to allow it to be heard without getting in the way of conversation. The restaurant is always exceptionally clean and looks pristine. The staff are always well turned out and accommodating to the diners. It's always a treat to come here.

Just went there as a family of six for Father’s Day, everyone enjoyed the meal thoroughly. We’ll definitely be going back

The quality of the food is always great at Chinese Manor House, and service is excellent. We especially liked the Salt and Chilli Haggis starter and the Steamed Seabass Fillet with ginger and spring onion ,main course. Not the cheapest of restaurants, but a very enjoyable meal .We Will return.

Food was amazing I had lemon chicken while my cousin & her husband had salt & pepper duck & crispy seaweed to start & pork Shanghai & sliced chicken as mains - we shared rice & noodles. Sadly no room for pudding!!

Service was really good and attentive. Unfortunately the food was very basic and not good value e.g. chicken chow mein was a bed of vermicelli noodles with strips of what seemed to be chicken on top, nothing added. We are everything as we were hungry but sorry we will not be back.

Went with my 2 teenagers and my mum, as usual service was excellent. 3 starters, all chicken sweet corn soup (it is the best I have had, and my kids agree) mains were 2x crispy shredded chicken, 1 satay and 1 chicken chow main. All excellent!!

As I live in the city going 2 miles out to eat seemed odd but desperately looking for a decent Chinese restaurant we went to Chinese Manor. Slightly quirky inside a converted bungalow but food was good and very tasty and service friendly and efficient. Definitely would return.
