Chinese Manor House

Reasonable meal although food not very hot .Staff could have been more friendly & helpful.Not my most enjoyable eating experience there and therefore unlikely to revisit.

Great food and excellent value for money. Friendly staff, attentive and patient (we were a party of 7!). would definitely recommend this restaurant. Only one very minor complaint - we didn't get asked if we wanted desserts :-(

Been here a few times. Whilst food was Great the service was not as good had to ask for Water 3 times other tables were served before us at times felt we were forgotten about. However as Food was good we would return

Very enjoyable meal with good food and great service. One minor issue dealt with quickly, making the meal better than ordered. Bitter cold night outside but nice temp inside.

Excellent service, lovely food! Visiting Edinburgh from South Yorkshire and looked around for a decent Chinese to visit. Saw this and the resteraunt looked clean and welcoming. My wife and I wasn’t disappointed!! Great service from both the staff who dealt with us and nice atmosphere. Food was piping hot and didn’t have to wait long to receive. Excellent meal in good surroundings. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Especially enjoyed the soft shell crab starter. I would certainly recommend the Chinese Manor House and look forward to going back

Myself and my 2 teenagers enjoyed a meal on Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy so service was slightly slower than normal, but food was excellent

Great food and service at very reasonable prices - would recommend the “Lime Duck” - an original recipe from Hong Kong Peking spare ribs also worthy of a mention

I complained about the quality of the chicken breast and was told that it was the best despite the fact that I almost had to saw through it. My friend's green Thai curry looked grey. I have been to this restaurant many times but would not hurry to go back.

Fantastic as usual, the XO sauce is superb. Great flexibility in the children's menu as well. We go regularly and have never thought it was anything but excellent.

Enjoyed a Valentines meal with my wife. The Manor House was decorated for the occasion. I have always enjoyed my meals here as we stay local, and always found the staff very polite and attentive. it had been a while since I had been and think the presentation of the food last night was one of the best.

Good atmosphere and very attentive staff. Mid-range food at high-end prices although the steamed sea bass was worth £18. Parking issues were a bit of a problem.

Lovely meal and great service. Really enjoyed the evening. Parking was a little tricky but within short walk. Restaurant is in need of an upgrade in terms of decoration however that would not put me off.

With an aged relative in tow we had a wonderful time. 3 hours spent on the Mandarin Buffet for 3. Infinite patience and courtesy from Catherine and rest of excellent staff. Great food and service .

Good customer service and great food. Little bit of a wait for the main course but the Lime Duck 🦆 I had was well worth it - absolutely superb. Obviously by the number of people eating, they also had the same idea.

We keep going back because the food, service & ambiance are so good making the Manor House a warm & inviting place to have a meal.

Lovely meal and very attentive staff Bit busy with xmas tables and would prefer that the bigger tables were moved to lower end of restaurant as it was difficult to talk

It’s been a while since we ate at the Manor House and I have to say that they have def upped their game - the meal was delicious. Will not wait as long to return.

The staff were very helpful and courteous,the meal was very quick from the minute it was ordered and there plenty for everyone.The menu had a great selection to choose from.

Fabulous food. Great service, though perhaps a little rushed. 300 pounds for 8 people, but included 5 bottles of wine and a few beers. So good value.

A very pleasant lunch using the business lunch menu, which is excellent value. I’ve been at the restaurant for an evening meal before and the food is excellent- probably the best I’ve had.

My low rating of 3 is reflective more of the cold environment and feeling very chilled throughout what would have been a otherwise a lovely lunchtime experience. Very fine Chinese cuisine and in the main good service. A very cold restaurant!

Fresh good quality food served in a really nice atmosphere. Although not the cheapest Chinese restaurant we've been to, you get what you pay for and we'd certainly go back.

Lovely food and nicely presented. The staff are professional and friendly, good ambience. We went we friends and we all enjoyed it. They also do a very good take away.

This was our 4th visit of 2017 and as always the food was excellent and was piping hot. The service was excellent and the 2 waiters were very attentive. I will always be happy to recommend the Chinese Manor house to anyone who is looking for great food in relaxed surroundings.

Excellent meal and service.The lunch time menu offers excellent value with a few dishes are worth paying a wee bit extra for.Highly recommend particularly if travelling to or from the airport
