Lovely restaurant. Great food and service. A little different to your regular Indian menu, influenced by different regions in India. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.
Service was excellent and menu looked good but food did not live up to expectations. I ordered fish and it was mushy. Not an unpleasant evening but I am unlikely to rush back
This is the best Indian restaurant, food consistently good, would recommend it to anyone. The Sunday thali is good value and the Goan fish curry is a particular favourite of mine.
Food is very good. Well worth going for. Tasty and something different to other run of the mill stuff. Service still needs fine tuning. Was not busy but service bit haphazard again.
The food and the service is really great here, we had a lovely meal. The Sunday thali is good value and we will definitely be trying some of the main menu options another time.
Fantastic meal with our friends who hadnt been before..they also were impressed and stated it was the best Indian meal they had ever eaten..much busier now but the service and quality hasn't suffered..very impressed
Great food and service as always, didn't like the loud woman and her two little darlings (brats) on the the next table. Normal service was restored as soon as they left.
Visited on Mother's day without knowing it was a buffet style service. However, this proved to be ideal as we got to try much more than we would normally and some things I would never have ordered. The kids all loved the mini fish bite starters and the chicken kebab. My eldest and I both adored the fish and lamb curries. The veggie choice for my wife was extensive and more varied than usual. She particularly liked the panneer dish. All the food was excellent - even the Indian Rice pud. This is my 3rd visit, but the families first and the all agreed with my previous high praise. Definitely worth a detour if you don't live nearby.
The service was excellent. The food was very tasty and represented average value for money. The drinks list is a little limited for none drinkers.
This one of the best meals I have had in a while. Everything was delicious! The only thing I disliked was the chocolate cake on the dessert menu, which I felt was out of place in the authentic menu. Would recommend the tandoori duck. Will be going back soon!
Food was fine, but service was a bit haphazard and random. Not sure if they were a member of staff down, or just disorganised. After being taken to table, left for ages without being asked what we would like to drink. Eventually called them across, and then drinks took ages to arrive, and we had to ask for water 3 times. Food came reasonably quickly after order went in, about right spacing between courses. Tasted ok and portions more on genetrous side. Overall just OK, not as good as were led to believe they are, or an off night for them.
Probably the nicest indian meal we have ever had, food and service was outstanding. We were seated on time as per reservation, just the right amount of time between courses, will definitely be returning soon.
Completely unlike other Indian restaurants I have been to in that the food tasted more flavorsome and utterly different. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will certainly go again.
Fantastic food, tastes you will never experience in a normal curry house. excellent knowledgeable staff, we had a fantastic evening and we're already planning our next trip!
This was a fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent quality - cooked to a high standard with lots of variety and choice. Lovely decor and the staff were professional, friendly and on hand for any advice or requests. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Pleasant environment and attentive staff, menu adequate for most tastes although perhaps not as extensive as other similar establishments. The quality of the food was excellent and the pricing reasonable.
This is a bit out of the way for many in Stockport but it is worth the trip. Nothing is as good anywhere in the area.
First class food, service and value. We have now been to the Copper Lounge a number of times and it continues to deliver, time after time.
It was Christmas Eve and there was no atmosphere. As always food was great but unfortunately the service was very poor. We had to ask several times for a jug of water. Starters were served but we had no plates. It was a real shame as we have eaten there several times before and loved it.
The food was excellent as always, Goan platter, sizzling platter, butter chicken and Peshawari naan, Goan fish curry and lemon rice, Andhra lamb and pudhina rice - everything totally delicious.
Food is fabulous. Struggled to cope with service though. Seemed chaotic with no defined roles for staff on the floor. Took nearly 30 minutes just to get 1st round of drinks. Short staffed was the problem. Just need to let your customers know if service taking longer than normal so expectations can be tailored.
Great food but the service was not so good unfortunately. We had a very long wait for our food which ruined the experience for us.
The food was great but I'm afraid the service was poor. Food was slow to arrive and one portion of rice didn't arrive at all, even though we asked about it. Will give the Copper Lounge another go as the food was so good.
Fantastic service and the food was wonderfully tasty. Great to find an Indian restaurant where all the individual spices in the different dishes can be tasted.
Consistently good, excellent food. Very clean tasting and the service is friendly and informative. We try different dishes each time and cannot fault any of them
Friendly service welcomes you in and exceptional food keeps you there. The fresh flavours and smells were a delight. Definitely going to be back for more!
Fabulous, interesting food, the building is nice, with subdued lighting and they have obviously thought about the service too. Being able to book online is a bonus. We'll be going back!
Great food, freshly cooked. The street food platter is extremely good. Really enjoyed the visit and would go again. This place is to be recommended.
This is the first time I've been to The Copper Lounge and I was very impressed with both the food and the service. The only complaint I have is that there is only one Gents toilet which can cause a queue !
We had a great meal at the Copper Lounge. The best curry I've ever tasted and reasonably priced. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming Will be back again soon.
This visit did not disappoint - good service, good atmosphere and most importantly fantastic food. If you're wondering whether to visit all I can say is "just do it, you'll love it".
We have been here several times since it opened, and it has always been a nice relaxed experience, great fresh food, great service, and good value for money
We had a lovely meal at the copper lounge on Sat. Vegetarian options were also great and the food was well presented and hot. My husband and I had been before and really enjoyed it but we had been doubtful about taking the kids as we thought it may not be as child friendly- we were totally wrong! Everyone was great with the kids and booking an earlier meal meant it was less disruptive for any adults wanting a more romantic (& quieter) setting...Children enjoyed the chicken kids curry, although our older boys found it quite hot...our 2 year old daughter didn't seem to mind the touch of spice! Would definitely return again! Children were suitably entertained by the large fish tank-Thanks copper lounge!
Food was good but service was not. Took an hour before we got our starters. People who came in 30 minutes after us got their mains before we got our starters
Great food and service, they were really helpful in explaining the dishes and guided us through to our meal choice, which made for a great evening
All I can say about this restaurant is fantastic food! Nothing like your usual Indian restaurateur, not a samosa in sight! Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent authentic Indian food, the menu is made up of interesting dishes from around the country. The service was also excellent. This was my forth visit and if this standard is maintained I am very sure there will be many more.
Amazing food, great friendly service. Can't fault the food one bit. Need to add a description on the starters on the menu, and change the music in my opinion. Will definitely return and will be recommending it to family and friends, fantastic local food.
The food was excellent but the service was a bit slow and we were distracted by other tables needing to complain because they'd been waiting longer than we were for both their starters and main courses.
We had enjoyable evening the food as ever was fantastic and as always the staff were friendly helpful staff. We can highly recommend the Copper Lounge
