Great little restaurant. Food was delicious and staff very warm and welcoming. Only 8 tables so booking in advance is a must. Will definitely be back.

The food was superb (especially the king prawns, lamb cannon and vanilla brulee) and all the staff (owner, chef and waitress) were all super-friendly. Small place so a little chilly when the door opened, however the food and staff were so good that I'm not taking off any marks - highly recommended!

Excellent meal, we could not fault anything. It is a charming little restaurant with friendly atmosphere and staff. Amazing value for money and we would recommend it to anyone. But definitely need to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

cosy bistro style restaurant, we were a group of 4. We were made to feel very welcome b9th the waiter. Food was well presented and tasted lovely. Good choice of wine, we had merlot and sauvignon, reasonably priced. We will definately book again next time we visit York.

Just a lovely little restaurant with gr8 food. The fresh water trout was to die for, just perfectly cooked. . A gem of a find! We will definitely be back.

Steak cooked to perfection and seafood risotto was devine. The restaurant is small but this makes for a more relaxed atmosphere with good service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

An day in York was finished off in style at the Corner Grill House. The food was excellent, the price was very reasonable, and the waitress was a star.

Very nice little restaurant, just outside the centre. Not many tables so need to book early to get the time you want. Friendly staff and great food. I had the beef fillet and it was cooked perfectly, I also had a pick from the other plates and they were all delicious. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼

Small cozy restaurant with thoughtfully prepared food. Enjoyed our dinner here; I got the chicken and my companion the rack of lamb, both very flavorful. Also appreciate the friendly service from our hostess/server.

Such a cosy and welcoming restaurant. It’s very small and has nice atmosphere. The choice on the menu was quite simple and looked lovely. Food was exceptional - fantastic quality and cooked perfectly. The service was really friendly and efficient. I can’t recommend highly enough and hope to go back if I’m visiting York.

Fantastic restaurant. Waiter/ waitress very attentive. Must agree with previous reviews that the Corner House does not look anything special, until you get inside and try the food. My wife and I tried the set menu, the pork medallions and lamb being the highlights. Highly recommend the whole menu...😀 (note if your doing the fixed menu, this finishes at 8pm on a Saturday.) Intimate atmosphere. Would I go back again- yes without fail. 👍👍👍

Cosy neighbourhood restaurant with great atmosphere and friendly service with simple food cooked well. Good value. Worth visiting - we will certainly make it somewhere we go to regularly.

A lovely cosy little front room restaurant. As the name suggests, the menu was based around grilled meats which were superbly cooked (vegetarian option available). My appetite suited the set menu suited perfectly. I chose the mixed grill followed by pork medallions and the meats were tender and tasty. Friendly maitre d. Would recommend.

The food was amazing. This place is quite bijou, but is a lovely atmosphere. The waitress/front of house girl was friendly and polite and made the experience great. Enjoyable evening for my husbands birthday. Thank you

We ate here with our 10 year old grand daughter. We received a warm welcome, the meal was excellent, and served in pleasant surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be happy to recommend to anyone.

The food and the service was top quality!! Portions were maybe on the small side for my husband but enough for me. For the quality of the food, 3 courses, (not off the fixed menu) and 2 drinks each was only £68! Absolute bargain. Will definately go again.

A little gem in the city. The food was outstanding. I had the pork from the set menu which was great value and my husband had the lamb off the main menu which was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend.

It’s tiny yet cosy and comfortable.the staff work hard and food was tasty,their is a good variety as well.situated near Piccadilly it’s a change from those large restaurants and quite novel.

Lovely little restaurant with a great atmosphere! The waitress was really friendly and attentive and the food was first rate. Really tasty starters and the pork and lamb mains were cooked perfectly. Really nice sauce to compliment the pork and the sides (especially the mash and fries) were delicious. Really nice dessert to finish. Not expensive for such a well prepared meal. Would highly recommend. Definitely book, as restaurant is small! Some people had to be turned away.

This is a lovely and intimate place, great service and very tasty food. As you would expect from a grill house, the meat was cooked to perfection (and to our specific tastes). Great value too

First time here and had a great meal. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and tasted top notch. All this washed down with a few drinks and a very funny waitress who was fab!!!

Service was excellent in this tiny restaurant with just some 7 or 8 small tables. We had mains and desserts. My steak was beautiful although the accompanying 2side dishes were rather meagre. My wife had the sea bass fillet - well cooked but the overall portion size was disappointingly small, even for her when she does not like large portions. My sticky toffee pudding was light, fluffy and delicious. My wife’s chocolate brownie had a very soggy bottom. The waitress was extremely friendly, efficient and keen to make our meal enjoyable - it was my wife’s birthday and she had ensured this was marked by balloon and roses to decorate our table. So full marks for the service but the actual food content was just “ok.”

Very quiet when visited but service and quality of food were very good. Choice of menu was varied and acceptable and staff were enthusiastic and courteous. Highly recommended.
